you can hardly compare it to the 32,33,34 etc why dont you compare the car against the likes of the 1960 & 1970's skylines which again look nothing like any of these. We have grown up with that style of body etc i am sure the people our age 20 - 30 years ago would be saying exactly what we are now about the "new" skyline. Also isnt it called the V35 so its not even trying to keep the same name as the other ones eg r31, r32, r33 and r34
