We spoke to some of the guys that operate them, when they were at a car show, and he said that they can get your speed from a fair way away, but can't book you till you're very close (I can't remember the metres exactly, but it was close). His words were, you could be doing 180kms but as long as you slam on the brakes before you get close you'll be fine. He basically said you have to be a dickhead to get done by one (ie. not paying any attention at all) cos most people keep an eye out and will spot them way before they can book you. These are the vans I'm talking about. This was also a couple of years ago... so things may have changed.

And if it's a corporate vehicle, wouldn't it go to the company, not to his girlfriend.... ie. the whole reason of the large fine is that they haven't actually identified a driver..

You'll need to pay the entry fee before the day... they fill up and you need to grab your spot! You pay this to whoever is organising the day SAU, Autosports etc... When an event is being held, everything you need to know will be in that thread, so just follow the instructions to enter

I used to buy quite a few mags but have stopped because I just wasn't reading them! They'd sit there in a "to read" pile and before I knew it, the next issues were out and the pile kept growing lol I would still buy Speed if it was still around though... Now I only buy the odd issue of HPI when SAU is in it, or someone's car I know is in it
