how cute!! i've got a midnight purple R34 GTR, in the 1/43 scale...bought it at Sherrifs in Melbourne when i was there for the grand prix, that shop is amazing, has everything, including heaps of Skylines. Don't remember seeing any series2 r33's though

I just got Redline put in my gearbox... the mechanic is a skyline nut and he recommends it... he also said that it should usually last around 400,000kms, like you said Chris32.

I'll go get some quotes next week...gonna pay for it myself cos the excess on my insurance is $1100 and i'm ASSUMING it will cost less than that!! i really hope so anyway! and I'll try some jap wreckers for a headlight (or maybe two Ewen, if they're not too pricey ) Veilside R33, tell me more about the 4dr ones...i didn't know they were different? goddam it!! I locked up the brakes big time (saw my skid marks tonight hehe) as it hopped across in front of the car but I still clipped it with a HUGE whack on the drivers side front... but the damage doesn't seem to be too bad. My drivers side headlight is smashed to pieces and the end of the front quarter panel is slightly dented, but other than that - seems to be ok. sooo, can anyone recommend a good smash repairer? And do you think i'd be better off finding a new headlight myself to save some $$? i think I'll need the whole unit. thanks guys...oh and take it easy on hindmarsh dr late at night

yeah insurance will be the killer...i'd get some quotes before you even go looking at R32's!

Agreed!! I got brake pads, the discs machined, oil & filter change, gearbox oil change, new spark plugs...plus the usual check over of everything... they also fixed my mis-firing i was getting at high revs. very nice guys (Joe and Charlie), very helpful..and Joe loves his skylines!! I'll be going back for sure....and not just because Joe promised me a ride in the other wine red R33 they had there that has apparently had some serious $$ spent hehe

kabab doesn't even post, let alone come to cruises! he doesn't love us anymore ummm this was awhile ago...but spotted last Saturday - a (silver?) R33 on the Northern Road...gave us a big wave out the window, sorry mate, would have waved back but you went by so quick and my window was up, but if it was anyone here, we were the red series 1 and black series 2 R33's that you waved at We were on our way to Windsor to stay overnight before the Putty Rd cruise.. also spotted further up the Northern Rd...about a million GTiR's!!! Must have been a cruise on??

ahhh...ok well at least you should know my car now after staring at my ass end for so long last weekend hehe (I remember when u thought u spotted me but it wasn't me...ages ago) or just look for the indicators goin all over the place LOL

blackdoggette, the owners manual doesnt have to be a proper one from Nissan - it just needs to be something in english that has important safety stuff like how to hook up baby seats to the child restraints... stuff like that. I got failed for it too luckily my compliancer supplied one (just a crappy photocopied thing, only about 8 pages)...i took it in and showed them and they were happy. I also had to get a seat belt removed, cos it was complied at as a 4-seater but they'd put in 3 belts in the back making it a 5-seater

they both copped the wombat, Craved the guy under the silver 32 had to clean the wombat bits off his car with a tshirt eeeeewwww!

but despite hitting the wildlife...was a great day!! there was only about 8?? of us that did the Putty Rd back to Windsor in the dark (after tagging along to a few wineries) which was a good sized group actually, cos we could set our own pace and keep together. Made it a VERY long day, driving back to Canberra after that!! as slo200 said, good to see "most" ppl were well behaved, and any comments on those that weren't are best put in the members forum thanks to all you guys who joined up as members on the day too, you will have a shiny new membership card and sticker in the next couple of weeks :headspin: the rest of my pics are here
