that is basically a "we don't want your business" quote...they know that no one in their right mind would actually pay it... Devlish Angel, you're actually considering taking up insurance if it costs that much?? As someone said that's $1580 a month...that's just under $400 a WEEK!!! OMG!!! Anyway, good luck with it all...and I'm extremely jealous of you...but I think i'm actually kinda glad too, that my parents didn't buy me something like a GTR when i was 17, cos I might not be here right now. I used to push my little Laser to it's limits, can't imagine if I'd had a GTR!

here's a shopping list http://www.howellautomotive.com/Howell/Sto...t.php?cPath=247 in fact i like the dice so much, i'm gonna put it in my avatar :bahaha:

yeah I would say around 20k-23k it's a series 1...but it has a few goodies... how many kays?? are they genuine? Has it ever been in an accident? if it's immaculate and looks really good you should ask a good price...and go from there. Harder if you're thinking of selling to a mate, but go for what you think and don't settle if you think it's way less than what you want!

Hi JT I have locked your other 2 threads on this topic, please try to only post one thread when you want to ask a particular question :uh-huh: thanks muchly

hi drifto...Damo took those ones out the back, we tried for some out the side window too but couldn't get a good shot maybe we should do a run to Jindabyne one time! that would be pretty cool actually. Not on a double demerit weekend though James...she's such a cutie!!! ;) SAU's youngest mechanic...

Street Machines (brisbane importer)

yeh, i have heard of NismoGirls experience with them also...you might want to PM her and let her tell you all about it. my personal experience: i stopped in for a look when i was ready to buy (a couple of years ago now). They seemed ok, but i don't think the guy took me seriously that i WAS actually ready to buy, cos I left my details with them (as they didn't have what I was after in stock) and i never heard from them.... nevermind....someone else got my business instead! -
No snow Jay... but fcking close to it... can't believe how cold it was down by the lake...someone remind me why I haven't moved to Brissy yet????? thanks for coming guys, wasn't expecting such a good turnout! Sorry about the cafe not being open...but Pizza hut wasn't so bad as a substitute...I was so bloody hungry I didn't really care where we ate really anyhooo...my pics are here Justin, hope the trip back home today went ok and u didn't cop any double demerits!

yeah mark, the cruise I organised a while back went from the Shell servo on the Hume Highway, along the Illawarra Highway, thru Moss Vale, Fitzroy Falls etc, then to Kangaroo Valley. We stopped at Tallowa Dam (just after the bridge in Kangaroo Valley) for a BBQ. It was a great day, I'd be very keen to do something similar again.

ICBM hehe it gets bad rap, but if you just want somewhere with free entry and top40 type music, it's ok... Insomnia is above it... King O'malleys is an Irish Pub, good to sit outside if you want a bit of fresh air (although it's a bit cold for that now!!), watch pissed ppl walking past etc... dunno where else... I've been a bit over the whole niteclub thing lately...

details....um ok how does this sound: Date: Saturday 7th June Time: 2pm Place: National Library carpark Itinery: Cruise around the Lake, go up Mt Ainslie for a photo opportunity, cruise back thru Civic to Belconnen, have a late lunch/coffee at Zefferelis near Belco Mall. Whole cruise should only be a couple of hours, and ppl can leave the cafe whenever they want (if they need to take off early or whatever). Sorry for the late notice, but everyone please come along and say hi to Kamikaze! If it's a nice day we should get some good photos up Mt Ainslie too. see you there! Shell

was thinking Sat arvo Justin... gotta go to Sydney tomorrow, will be back Sunday night so i will try to put something up about it then
-
speaking of that Kamikaze, i'd better get off my arse and organise something hey! whoops...been so busy. Is the long weekend next weekend? I'm thinking the Saturday for a cruise. anyway...WELCOME SIMMO!
-
haha my renewal form says $620.80 for the year...you're getting ripped Jay! Seriously though, the only difference in pricing here (for private rego) is weight isn't it?? Why should ours be different prices then? My weight's 1380. But anyway, i only paid $181.00 - cos I was pov and only renewed it for 3 months

Buying parts off someone in NZ - Help Needed
Shell replied to Black33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Black33, i know this doesn't answer what u wanted to know regarding money, but if it ends up having to come down to trust, maybe you could do a search on the SDU forum for this user...to see if he's sold previous stuff...or check how long he's been on the forum for...or ask a reputable SDU club member if they know him (someone like AngussR33 is a good person to ask, he knows everyone). You ARE better off finding a way to cover the both of you...but the above is just something else you could do if needed... -
oh damn now i'm scared, since I'll be up there this weekend I'm staying at...oh hang on, i might just keep that to myself
-
Do you mean this bit Prank? yeah! I thought that was funny too! :bahaha:
-
well it was a pretty good race...a few crashes...including one guy (Dan Wheldon?) flipping and landing upside down...looked worse that it was apparently. was a pity to see Scott Dixon smack into the wall and wreck his suspension while warming the tyres under yellow...gotta be a bit embarrassing to crash like that haha. I would have liked to see Castroneves win, cos i like him Also cos it would have been 3 in a row for him and a record.... but 2nd is not too bad...and he did his usual trick (of climbing the fence) and got race winner de ferran up there with him (see pic)
-
yeah weetbix, Champ Cars and the IRL are two different series...they were one thing years and years ago, but they had a big split. Champ Cars travel all over the place, but IRL seem to stick mainly to the oval circuits in the US. They let Champ Car teams race at the Indy 500 though (even though it's part of the IRL)....Montoya won it a few years back even though he was driving in the Champ Car series...and Castro-Neves won it last year and the year before (he has since moved from Champ Car to IRL). gtr69...yep I found out they are showing it...staying up to watch it right now - they mentioned it on RPM last Sunday. Still wasn't on their site or in any of the TV guides though, dunno why

haha :bahaha: about as good as our "feel the power of Canberra" numberplates...

:) my wall? nah, I'm using it as my desktop pic on the puter nice article Ben, must be a pain in the butt dealing with some of those guests, especially silly bitches who leave their Skyline parked in the taxi zone while they go off and have dinner
-
MAS2 it's not a crap idea....hopefully we will get a list up in the future
-
haha akeenan ok, we'll start with this one! you're right, it's a pain....but it's a topic that's gonna come up time and time again due to it being a big issue for most of us, and unfortunately all we can do is "politely" point the newbie in the direction of the search button hopefully we will eventually have a list of insurers on the site somewhere and can point them to that too...
