  1. hang on something doesnt sound right.... it states on the exhange rate website that in January 1995 is $1 AUD = 74.75 Yen well thats around say......$64,000???
  2. well apparently purple is the gay homosexual colour lol
  3. well at least thats one indication of the clutch being services before.....
  4. how much did that cost you? 150$? and did it come with the allen key bolt/screw? teflon tape..... is probably not the best thing because if the plastic around the female thread of the knob is worn.... your just gonna keep cross threading it... im a plumber and i deal with teflon all the time.. with plastic fittings/threads , should use liquid instead
  5. my personal opinion??? thats the WORST thing u can do dude..... carbon fibre bonnets i personally think causes too much contrast difference in colour..and the black colour of actual carbon fibre i dont think looks all that crash hot.. but in saying that... carbon fibre is that popular i guess you could get away with the dodgy colour of it. but painting it black to MOCK it.........why would u wana do that?!?!?! to me it looks way too........cheap.... have you seen people who have a cheap bombed out car and purchase a different colour bonnet or bumper bar but either cant be stuffed spraying it or cant afford to spray it the same colour?! thats what it reminds me of. but at the end of the day its your car and your money.. i would never do such a thing even if i had an r33 gtst in any colour
  6. have you tried tightening the allen key? sometimes thats all it needs othertimes the plastic on the knob is worn nice skirts you got there!!!
  7. For the aluminium panel.. have you tried removing it to have a look? some have found it easier that way..... but through the back ...i think the strut brace needs to be removed to do so
  8. exactly..... just what i thought well the allen key was missing thats why loctite is good, cause there is nothing worse than having a knob that is wobbily whilst driving what are u gonna put on now?
  9. well has your car ever had a gearbox overhaul? clutch? because that hollow hole should be an allen key bolt/screw. ive noticed most mechanics either lose it or dont bother to put it back on. otherwise how firmly did you turn it? unless its been sealed with Loctite?
  10. Aussie ones are very rare.... it will be hard for you to get your hands on one. IMports should be quite common. bodged up?.... well for a performance car like that, especially an old one like R32... its not always easy to find one unmodified, untampered & unmolestered.... i was sure one of the dealer guys on here had one sitting in the window display of an R32 and something about always garaged inside or in the showroom and genuine facytory odo 20,000km. and im sure it wasnt 20,000$
  11. yes, tell us more information about what this "free flow" law of yours is... in aust, Its the sound that annoys the cops & the public. and once they issue you with a ticket... they can check the Toxic emissions from the exhaust if the catalytic converter looks tampered. The GTR cat im pretty sure is a 3-way cat.. as in it reduces nitrogen oxides, reduces cabon monoxide & hydrocarbons. Free flow exhausts are usually aftermarket without a restrictive pipe in the rear muffler. High flow aftermarket cats are sometimes a defect here. anyways, let us know what you think
  12. well that explain why the splitfire coil pack for R33 GT-R also fits R33 GTS-T series 1
  13. hey there which series R33 do you have? as far as i know the R33 GTS-T Series 1 and Series 2 have different Coil packs, as well a different coil pack loom. the series 1 has external ignitors but the Series 2 has internal ignitors buiilt for each coil. i dont think its worth getting it modified to suit. and there probably wouldnt be much difference in power gains either. a very common upgrade in coil packs would be "SPLIT FIRE" ive seen them for sale for around 700$ they can fit various Nissan motors as well... The split fire coil for Nissan R33 GT-R actually can fit into Series 1 GTS-T... but im not deadset sure about the OEM coils
  14. yeah as i thought, the workshop/mechanic you went to had no clue.... they obviously needed the Part no# to source it/ring around. at least you got it sorted
  15. drilled holes before or after the filter panel?
  16. yeah unless you are able to do it in the backyard... a proper job would be to re-spray the whole boot... otherwise you could see imperfections. if you are not confident, id recommend you to take the boot off yourself.......remove all the trims, spoilers etc. and hand it to them...when its sprayed put it back yourself. this would save a little bit of labour time & money. And saves you leaving your car there for days and days. (im not sure if you realise what a car looks like when its left at a panel beaters workshop. it looks neglected as if it was dead and gone...dust everywhere)
  17. all good thats what i was trying to point to some idiots on this forum who just say "do a search do a search do a search do a search do a search " sometimes links dont even show up in the search. anyhow that link is very good guide. any other questions, let us know.
  18. look whos talking... i said i dislike GT-Ts.... and you had the hissy fit. theres no right or wrong in peoples opinion and prefference. hah its funny how you mention about my mother tucking me in or wiping my ass.. lets say she even did that.... then at least im not an inbred bogan that performs incest with a mother like a redneck such as yourself. seems like your just a little post whore. you dont know jack shit and yet, wanna seem like you get involved and think you know a thing or two. "do a search" thats petty dude..... jsut because its been covered before, new members have the right to ask and dont need that sorta bullshit. as you can see in the forum there was a new member posting in regards to the R33 Buyers guide. He mentioned he did a search and could not find it. So obviously the next step he posted a question to see if anyone could "H-E-L-P" you know, havent you ever thought about sometimes people find it difficult to search things?! some shit is like a needle in the haystack if your barking up the wrong tree. IT doesnt hurt to do a search for them. Like what i did for this particular fellow ( and it took me MORE than 1 search i tell ya, i found it because i recall seeing it and reading it before.) call me stupid? "when you havent met me" obviously your brains must be full of shit... you just dont really think before you talk do you? whos the one who started this? and posted the shit about me not owning this and that ...when YOU, havent met me?! YOU take it to pm......since your the pitty little bogan that started this... but at the end of the day i dont really give 2 shits whether you are a POST whore, a post broad minded person. blaming other people and telling others to GTFO when your the wanker in the start is what im trying to tell you.
  19. nah no conclusion. this was on the GT-R article on HPI. a guy from Queensland by the name of Chris Neale. No plate#: CCNOO the article only stated "Chris actually sent petrol samples and weather statistics to TOP SECRET in Japan so they could supply a custom-tuned ECU to suit, So that the car runs perfectly on Normal 95- Octane Premium fuel at 1.3bar." that was an R33, he has since upgraded to an R34.... nope...... no conclusion.
  20. some Hardcore GT-R owners have actually sent samples of australian 98 RON fuel to tuning companies in japan along with thier ECU's
  21. welcome to the forum champ if anything the skyline would be slower off the mark and gain in the top end compared to the rexy. some wankers on here would probably say "doooooooooo a search" here is a sticky thread on everything you'll need to know to look out for http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/bu...e-f-t35129.html good luck
