First Batch Of Nissan R35's For Australia
GT-R OZ replied to LSX-438's topic in VR Series - R35 GTR, Juke-R
Yea congrats to all the new owners. Just curious there's been a lot of talk about gearbox noise and 'diff chatter' at low speeds from US owners with the standard fluids Nissan are using. Just wondering if this has been evident in the newly arrived cars. Also any new owners considering switching to different after market fluids? I guess this would cause warranty concerns though. -
Hennessey 700hp Package @ $26k Aud For The Bits
GT-R OZ replied to rtune's topic in VR Series - R35 GTR, Juke-R
Check out the Utube video of the car on Hennessey's website. The acceleration of the car is bloody brutal. Must put a lot of stress on the tranny, surely you'd have to upgrade the internals for long term reliability. http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/ItemDe...ActionReq=Where -
First Batch Of Nissan R35's For Australia
GT-R OZ replied to LSX-438's topic in VR Series - R35 GTR, Juke-R
A question for the guys who have ordered cars from Nissan Aust. Is an extended warranty able to be purchased for the cars? Say 5 or 6 years with 100,000klms + coverage. -

So now that Nissan Aust. is importing in full volume does that mean the end of grey imports? What about bringing in a 2nd hand one from Japan, is this possible? -

Well at least you know no one's going to drive it. Congrats! and keep those pics coming! -
How about giving everyone a cost break down. Could only be good for your business. Also assuming mild street use only, what klm interval approx, would you recommend the next full fluid change?

Any ideas as to how many cars have actually arrived in this 1st batch? -
Do any potential owners now exactly what the service intervals are and the actual cost of each service?

Neutered Gt-r Launch Control Results
GT-R OZ replied to LSX-438's topic in VR Series - R35 GTR, Juke-R
Yea gota be great news. 0 to 60 MPH in 3.6 sec with VDC on as many times as you like with no fear of voiding any warranty! -
Reliability is the key. I think we all know that 911’s can take redline punishment day after day and year after year and they just laugh right back at you! The question is can the GT-R handle this same kind of punishment and perform just as well? Only time will tell!

R35gtr Price Forecast - 5 Yrs Time?
GT-R OZ replied to Marko R1's topic in VR Series - R35 GTR, Juke-R
FordyR31 I think you'll find that they are only producing around 1,000 cars per month, 12,000 approx each year. -
R35gtr Price Forecast - 5 Yrs Time?
GT-R OZ replied to Marko R1's topic in VR Series - R35 GTR, Juke-R
Another GT-R now for sale on carsales. A beautiful Gun Metallic. Looks likes there's going to be a healthy supply of the GT-R available, both JDM and ADM cars. If these guys are struggling to get 150K for these JDM cars new (assuming this price includes everything except transfer stamp duty) and the ADM cars are going for 175k (approx) on road, it will be interesting to see how the 2nd hand market pans out over the next 18 months to 2 years. -
So There I Was Driving An R35 Gt-r....
GT-R OZ replied to 31GUN's topic in VR Series - R35 GTR, Juke-R
Cobb will take care of the speed limiter regardless so I don't think it really matters does it? Hey GUN31 did the guys at Nissan Aust. tell you what they thought was 'too many times' as far as using the LC was? And the parts that would not be covered if you did use it too many times? I'm assuming the tranny? -

Or 150K for the Pearl White one in Queensland. -

Certainly you make some interesting points to consider 'GTR R35', especially with possible problems with the availability of spare parts. -

Obviously I've hit a nerve by asking some perfectly legitimate questions. If you've been reading these forums then you've noticed negatives and scepticism posted by numerous people about these vehicles whether they're JDM or ADM cars. I'm seriously looking at purchasing an R35 sometime next year and it will my 1st GT-R hence my new membership to this forum but I'll tell you now, I'm not going fork over 170K without knowing all the facts. So if my post seems negative it's because I want to cut through the bullshit and get accurate information! If I do go ahead with the purchase and the JDM cars are still available and are a better deal then what Nissan Aust. are offering and I can get a comprehensive warranty with the JDM car then I'll certainly be in touch. Congratulations on your purchase! By the way it's 'advice' not 'advise' -

Even better- A JDM spec Premium edition in Black, with 3 year, 100,000K warranty and 24 hr roadside assist. I’m curious, what exactly is the name of this company offering the warranty and road side assist on this modified GTR? Has he notified ‘this company’ that he has increased the hp of the car using the Cobb Tuning Access Port module Also is he allowed to launch the car? If so how many times? Is he allowed to drive with the VDC off? I’m sure there would be plenty of perspective GT-R buyers interested in some more detail about your post including this companies contact details. -

I like the Nissan Japan car, it has launch control FULLY WARRANTED LAUNCH CONTROL. Well if that's the case we all may need to move to the Land Of The Rising Sun! -

Again the VDC button. Perhaps you should take your grievance with this to Nissan Japan, you know the people who actually design and build the car! You do actually like the car don’t you lol? Also I do agree the whole VDC/LC issue has been a balls up, probably why they’re having to make some changes hey! If the whole VDC issue is causing you some sleepless nights in your caravan maybe give Carlos Ghosn a call and voice your concerns, I’m sure he’ll take your advice on board. -

What are you, a 'grey importer' or something? Worried about your sales? You seem to be pretty hung up about the VDC button, oh no not the VDC button! Who gives a shit, the LC is being removed from the Series 2 models coming to Australia anyway and possibly with that, the removal of the VDC switch all together. Also I couldn't give a rats who buys a grey import or one from Nissan Aust. Its personal preference. So maybe take a Bex and relax old boy! By the way I'd be a bloody garbo before being a car dealer. How's that font any better lol! -

Ditto the above comment. To buy this car without any kind of servicing support, warranty and access to spare parts from the manufacturer would be nothing short of madness. Sounds like 175k with full manufacturers warranty (and I believe an extended powertrain warranty is also available) from next April regardless of the exchange rate! Lock it in Eddie! -

If this car is in such high demand then why haven't the 3 'grey import' cars on 'carsales' not sold yet. They have been for sale for months now and they've now dropped their prices again. I guess with zero support from Nissan why would you buy one of them considering the amount of maintenance these cars seem to need. Oh and a lazy 30k for a replacement gearbox if needed! http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/NISSA...0&Model=GTR -

Stunning car no doubt about it but 200k for a Datsun, no way! The Aussie dollar will bounce back sometime in the future as well as a drop in value of the yen so these cars will be available for a hell of a lot cheaper then 200k that’s for sure! -
So the dealer delivery charge then is $12,800? That's $172,500 – $154,000(car inc LCT)-$5,000 (stamp)- $700 (rego). That's gota be a bloody record!
