  1. Just use this link, should tell you everything you need to know. http://www.2009gtr.com/2010/12/used-nissan-gt-r-buyers-guide-2009-2011.html
  2. That's a great buy! Congrats! Thanks for letting us know what you paid, it's a great yard stick to follow. I assume you're getting 3 years warranty from date of delivery? Going on what you paid the prices being asked for used 2009 ADM's on carsales with less then a year's warranty are just way too high! It also shows how much Nissan Australia are marking up these cars at new! A bloody disgrace! It will interesting to see what you will be able to pick up a MY 2011 mid way through next year.
  3. I think I might pick up a 2012 in late 2013! 38k discount, that's awesome. Can you tell us what you actually paid Wardski?
  4. Yea great advice Dom, I was curious about that. Did the 2010 ADM's come with LC3? What's your car like off the line. Nice and smooth with minimal stress on the tranny?
  5. Yea nice to see them coming into the 5 figure price range. I'd be happy to pay around 90k. A dealer probably wouldn't offer much over 85K for this car.
  6. The price for these cars is definately getting more reasonable. It's either a new Supercharged HSV GTS or something like this baby. Anybody here driven both cars and can compare? http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-gt-r-2009-11713993?silo=Stock&cr=13&eapi=2&vertical=Car&__N=1216
  7. Guys Some more ignorant rubbish about the GT-R from a European car dealer and his side kick on the same site mentioned earlier on this thread, feel free to add your own comments. http://www.carpoint....carrera-s-27736
  8. If Nissan are going to charge such ridiculous prices for replacement parts I guess the only choice for owners once their warranty expires is to source parts from other suppliers, otherwise the 2nd hand market value of these cars will collapse as no one will buy them. 100k for an engine and tranny is morethen the value of the entire car!
  9. Hi guys Looking at picking up a low klm 09 ADM next year which will most likely be out of warranty. I've got around 90k to play with. Am I dreaming? Does anyone know why Nissan does not let you purchase an additional 3 years warranty with the GT-R. Was considering buying extra warranty for the drivetrain from the company 'Ineedwarrantynow' http://www.ineedwarrantynow.com.au/vehicles-extension-to-manufacturers-warranty.htm Would this be a good idea for peace of mind? The car will be for street use only. Would appreciate any thoughts you guys might have.
  10. $ 1,000 a day in Sydney or Melbourne. Check out the excess! What happens if you accidently nudge someone in a carpark? Does that mean you pay 15K! LOL http://www.sportscar...tal_sydney.html
  11. g35me Contact this buyer and start with 105K as an offer. You never know. Would be interesting to know what the dealer is offering him if he's trading it for an 11 model! http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=11&R=9337567&keywords=&trecs=26&__sid=12C8512D3590&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=true&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&seot=1&__N=1216
  12. fungoolie 'You'd pay $25,000 extra for 45,000 kms less?' Lol and what did you pay with 0 klms? 175K? Nissan dealers here's your man! I'll take my 50K saving and invest that wisely! I wonder how many engines and trannys I could buy with that in 10 years time! So these cars are built well you say! Please humour me and tell me why you would buy a new one then??
  13. Lol 'had to google that one' it's called taking the piss (no offence intended)
  14. G35me Easy big fella, maybe take a bex and have a lie down and you'll get over it. 18 months, 15 months a year, who cares, it was just an approximation. The fact is, these cars have been for sale for along time so obviously they're over priced. A car, like any asset is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it! These people need to drop their price now and just take the hit; otherwise these cars will still be for sale in another 12 months and will have depreciated even further! Now as for finding an R35 for 80K with 50,000klms on it, you are right, very unlikely but why on earth would you pay even 100K for one with 50,000klms on it when you can get one with around 5,000klms on it (10 times less!) for 120K-125K? It's not just about getting one for the lowest price it's about getting value for money! If you really do want an R35 I would suggest you find or save up another 10 to 15K (it's not a lot extra considering the overall outlay) and you'll find a good one with low klms, not a tired one with high klms. You don't seem realise that the price people advertise their cars for is not the price they'll sell them for. It's not rocket science!
  15. http://www.carsales....words=&__N=1216 Yes, good point about the dealer inflation, I hope you're right. How unusual for a car dealer to try and make a quick buck on the back of other people's misery, I mean they're people of such high moral fibre! Misanthorpe Corrected. With 50,000klms I might pay 80K but even that's probably a bit steep. You might want to check out carsales.com. There have been R35's on there for 18 months and still haven't sold. A mate of mine just picked up a lovely 09 model in red with 6,500klms for 125K. I personally think he could have done better.
  16. Well so much for the increase in the AUD against the YEN covering the price rise! Nissan Australia disgustingly gauging buyers in Australia again! Price in the US on current exchange rates for a 2011 model, AUD $ 87,000. Here $ 204,000. What a f…king joke. Anyway I’ll pick one up in a year or so for $50K cheaper with 5000klms on it.
  17. 'buy a time bomb with no factory warranty and a 1 year fuse which has already been lit by some kamikaze in Tokyo with a need for speed.' You forget that any JDM car imported can only have delivery klm's on it, hence new, although it must be manufactured before Feb 2009.
  18. Shit you think with all the R & D that supposedly went into this car, that this would have been picked up at some point during the development phase or in testing!
  19. A few of the cars on there have been for sale for more then a couple of months now because they're just simply over priced! 150K before stamp duty is a fair price for an ADM with less then 10,000 klm's on it and about 130K for a JDM. Anyone paying anymore then this in the current climent should check themselves into the local funny farm and anyone asking more then this, i'm sorry but i'm afraid you've got your hand on it!
  20. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/result...home&Nne=15 There already seems to be a number of 2nd hand low kilometre R35’s now on the market, both ADM and JDM’s. Is the car not living up to expectations, are the running costs a problem or did people’s egos write cheques their bank manager was unwilling to cash?
  21. Any idea about all the stuff mentioned in this article for European buyers? Hopefully also coming here too! http://www.gtspirit.com/2009/11/12/2011-ni...rope-announced/
  22. Gibbo did the guys at Nissan say there were any warranty implications about you not using their transmission fluid and diff oils?
  23. What was the total cost of the project? Are there any revised performance figures for the car? Is the car actually going to see some track time or be parked outside cafés all day? Just asking the things everybody's probably curious about.
  24. Was this the car that Top Gear Oz test drove on the show?
  25. Maybe some cheap parts avaliable from this one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tIdipfZOP8
