  1. I have a Nistune on the RS4S now so they do work. It also seems odd as there are some bin files with the designation for the MT and for the AT. If you want an R34 PowerFC uniqueautosports have one in stock 2nd hand.
  2. Thanks, that looks like the best $5 I never spent.
  3. It would be cheaper and easier for a few SAU'ers to chip in $5 each and stick another car on this dyno and dynodynamics or mainline and see what numbers it spits out.
  4. Why does the HKS manifold rule out the Trust turbo?
  5. Good to see Ricciardo putting in some quicker times than Alguersuari. It is only testing so not necessarily too much to be read into it at this stage but a step in the right direction for him.
  6. But why change the manifold?
  7. Why?? The HKS cast manifold is divided,it would love one of those 0.78 twin scroll V-banded housings hanging off the side of it plus Psymon already owns it. I would definitely go for a GT3071 with the aforementioned turbine housing.
  8. Rolls, if I can find Legend01's dyno of his RB20 you might have a bit of a rethink. Found the link to the UAS dyno chart making +270rwkw , couldn't find the 300rwkw one which is somewhere in the NSW section (from memory). http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/58229-top-rb20-club-do-you-have-over-260rwkw/page__view__findpost__p__3129315
  9. With the HKS cast manifold then you have to go a twin scroll housing. GT/GTX3071 is my two bob's worth. How much power are you after?
  10. Did you leave a phone message with STATUS? I would consider waiting until you get to pick the brains of Trent before deciding on going too far.
  11. The bellmouth will fit the Nissan flange only so no problems for a stock turbo or a bolt on solution like a HKS GT-RS, HKS2835 kai (or whatever the ProS replacement is called) but not suitable for a Garrett turbo with Garrett turbine (unless you put on an aftermarket AVO style turbine housing but they don't seem to put out the numbers). Justjap ones should fit but there has been some to & fro on what will and won't fit so choose carefully and ask JJ lots of Q's.
  12. Bellmouth dump for sure like Chuckie says, is the best bet.
  13. It looks like a kebab. Would not want to be inside at the time of impact.
  14. Imagine you blow as hard as you into a plastic bottle. The pressure inside the bottle will be high. Airflow = zero Poke a 5mm hole in the bottom and blow again. The pressure will drop but airflow has now increased. Poke a 20mm hole in the bottom and the pressure inside drops again but airflow goes up. Cut the bottom off the bottle and now the pressure is very low inside the bottle but airflow is at its highest. Beerbaron covered it nicely, re-read what he wrote.
  15. Now I feel like a huge douche. Good luck with the car.
  16. You seem to be beating me into submission. The turbotech one is $30 plus postage of $7.50. I am not clear how buying one from the UK will be cheaper but I hope you get your car sorted out to your satisfaction.
  17. Where was the timing set? GTR base timing is 20deg.
  18. ^^ no one "needs" a Microtech
  19. How is doing all that easier than fitting a $30 part to a couple of hoses? The turbotech is not technically a bleed valve, it will only send air to the actuator at your selected target boost. I don't trust them on higher boost applications but for a stocker they are definitely the biz.
  20. Hi Johnno Additionally, the change in pressure also comes from the much larger turbine housing outlet which effectively uncorks the engine.
  21. I have one in Sydney willing to post. pm sent.
  22. I reckon they just park Lewis in between Nicoles boozies for 3 months, bike rack style. I am not sure if there is any carbon freezing involved.
  23. Any chance RBR lend out Ricciardo?
