  4. anyone knows the answer to this? "do you have to have front mount to get flutter noise? or can you use the stock cooler off r34? Guess you need aftermarket front mount cooler but thought id ask." also do i need pod or can i use stock air filter.... wouldnt mind some of that flutter noise (personal choice)
  5. Can i ask, do you have to have front mount to get flutter noise? or can you use the stock cooler off r34? Guess you need aftermarket front mount cooler but thought id ask.

  7. Just a bit of a feed back. Despite the terrible weather, great turn out. Just a suggestion next time, maybe we cruise to mt Macedon or something, since we are mostly from west suburbs. I think we should definitely do this meet up again and hope for kinder weather.
  8. Mannnnnnnnnnnnn, i was gonna come. But!!! always a butt in my life. Lats night, car parked on the road...i hear noise, come out, someone smashed into my car. Rear bar +light+quarter panel gone, plus front bar as it got pushed into the fence. So no car for me....unless, i rock up with this thing haha

  11. does unbolting exhaust before cat help turbo cars or do the opposite?
  12. NO, you misunderstood me. I said when i went from 2 to 3 they chirped. In saying that, when i had 280 at wheels, traction wasnt that much of an issue on same tires.
  13. Heatsoak from one run after cooling down? doubt it. after each run car was cooled down. did 10 runs all day. -if i was driving it hard around the track yes, but if its cool and i run it once, i doubt it. I will not be paying any plane tickets, offer is generous enough already, just to prove my point.
  14. Here is info from my run: 35C 60f: 2.3s (19 inch wheels down to 19psi) mph 104.02 time 14.0034 sec Even Tried taking the exhaust off just before cat to see if my punched out cat was restricting the flow, no difference. Exhaust is 3inch otherwise, straight through. Full boost 3500 rpm hi flow turbo, set to 15 psi but by 7000rpm goes down to 12-13 psi. 245 tires, brand new, on 19 inch wheels (not ideal i know). Mines ecu Split fire coil pack R34 cooler (not idea i know but i dont want front mount). Pod.
  15. Mind you i was pushing the car so hard, that wen shifting from second to third, i was getting churp from 245 tires, brand new. Now i know loosing traction doesnt make you fast, but it does mean that i tried everything and was pushing the car to limit. I tried riding the clutch. Burnout/no burnout. 10 runs. 3000 rpm launch 3 500 4000 5000 4500 is when i got the best result.
  16. Happy to prove you wrong. Too many 15 yo on here talk shit. -So, here is the deal. We take my car (same set up) and you sit with me, we drive up to Heathcote, and we both run my car. And lets see if its SHIT driving. Unless something is wrong with my set up, which i doubt, (apart from boost dropping from 15 to 12-13 psi). SO you let me know if you want to take me up on my offer, pm me. Because i was embarrassed because i was expecting so much after i heard what 'stokish' skylines get, but after a while i realized, too many shit talkers on here, not all, not saying that, just too many ppl think their car is a machine and quickest so they blow up figures to suit their ego. Im realistic, 14 is best i could get.
  17. I dont know but maybe i live in a different world. Took the car down to Heathcote, 32c. cAR R33 TURBO, hiflow, mines ecu, 15 psi/ 225kw at wheels. 14.0s flat. And here people claim they make 120kw and do 13-14s?? errr, okay
  18. Great upgrade for any r33 with stock turbo. Its thicker, wider, and longer yet still considered as "stock" cooler, so you wont get done my cops. Bolts straight on to r33, n 10 min job, great results, just read this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...amp;hl=r34+SMIC Also pictures are in that thread too! 150$ Melbourne. 0421 864 698
  19. anyone want this shit? lol
  20. Still safe AFRs. Thats was the point to lean it out a bit. Not sure why the dyno operator used 3rd gear tho.
  21. How do you know the Mines chip/tune has not been altered/fiddled with since it was done? Oh wait... You don't. As far as i know you cant alter them. If there is someone that can, let me know, i wouldnt mind looking into it. Last time i check with Sam (Dr drift) he said you cant tune MINES ecu. Therefore all you are doing is taking a gamble with your motor based on nothing more than a guess. You are taking a gamble if you tune it anyway. Everything is a gamble to some extent. There is no "other side" to the argument. There are to many risks, to many variables all for the sake of being a tightass There sure is. Not about being tightass, i tried PFC etc and i prefer this. If you are going to get a Mines ECU, you are better off sticking with the factory one. At least it'll shutdown via rich/retard. And no your not, with factory ecu you struggle to run 12 psi, doesn't run properly or anywhere near as hard. Now it runs more smoothly, has much better top end. No limiter and more aggressive tune to it. ANYWAY, there is always to sides to the coin. That was all my opinion and experience so far.
