  1. Im driving a tipper truck around sunshine area all day tomorrow, ill keep an eye out..
  2. I did the same thing, upgraded to 3 inch intake instead of, 2.5 inch standard intake. The car was running super rich and turning off inbetween gear changes... As soon as i unblocked the blwo off valve, car was back to normal, running normal and no stalling.
  3. Yea, ever since i ran this new set up, pretty much, 11-11.5, no matter what boost i ran
  4. When i compare the two dyno's, one has higher figure of KW with reasonably good AFR's still.
  5. Ye, for now ill stick with it and get cooler and better tyres. After, i might upgrade the lot, ecu, injectors and z32. So how bad is it to run around about 11 on AFR's? Obviously not ideal, just trying to understand...
  6. i ran 12psi, 14 and 17, all safe afr's.
  7. Yep, ill do that for now. I dont want to get nistune now, because the turbo is capable of 260kw so i wanna upgrade injectors and z32 together with nistune. Im not financially ready for that now. But good to know.
  8. QUOTE (adis @ 12 May 2010, 05:14 PM) Hmm okay, i was led to believe (by mechanic) that its now running rich due to pump, he even offered to swap it back for stock one... maybe he wanted more work. So why is my car running rich now with hi flow turbo, when it used to run slighly lean on stock fuel pump and stock turbo...? Okay, thanks.
  9. I cant prove anything, all i have is a dyno sheet, a car that hasnt "blown up or cooked" like some suggested, i also have personal experience running stock ecu and this ecu, and on this ecu, the car is faster. Thats all i honestly have.
  10. lol, im learning =)

  12. Yes it will, car runs richer.
  13. Now, to throw a bit more fuel into the fire...since i got the conversation going... I ran the car again on dyno, with 14psi car made 205kw, but, because i now have Bosch fuel pump(left over from previous set up), the car is running rich. Here is the dyno. (dont forget in this dyno, im running hi flow turbo, -> MINES ecu is tuned for stock turbo, and 12 psi)
  14. Very true, but when i launched at 3000 or 3500, it would grip, and be laggy? If i launched at 5000rpm, it looked like a burnout.... When i got 14s flat, i launched at 4300 and thats when i had least amount of lag, but ye, like i said, for some weird reason, my 1st gear is super laggy. puzzles me.
  15. Mate, i didnt run this set up at Heathcote... If i did, i would have much better time to show! With this set up i had super responsive 208KW. What i ran was much laggier hi flow, no apexi cooler, 190kw of laggy power compare to stock turbo 208kw, and in 25 got 14s flat, so you could probably pull low 14s with that set up i had a year ago.
  16. On that set up, i had APEXi cooler. This is the old set up graph, used it only to prove that MINES ECU is not the same as standard ECU.
  17. Issues i had that day: 1. too hot 35 C 2. Boost dropping off from 14 to 12 by top rev. 3. Took exhaust off, i found the car laggy, i would take off with minimal spin, get traction, and wait from 2700rpm to about 3800 full boost (felt like forever), not sure why it is laggy only first gear. 4. Tires are 240s wide , but not the best brand-doesn't help. 5. First time at the track. (should be number 1 issue). 6. STOCK R33 cooler. Even tho i cooled off the car after each run, being 35 C, cooling off woundt have done much. Next time i go: 1. Wont be 35c, will be cooler. 2. Boost will be at 17, dropping to 15. 3. exhaust stays on 4. Same tires till i wear em out 5. 2nd time at the track, experienced dragger (joke) 6. R34 cooler, helps. (also i upgraded to 3 inch intake with new pod, that should help too)..all up i made 225kw at wheels. -only issue, first gear is laggy compared to other gears.

  19. Trent is WRONG.
  20. Ohh im back to MINES topic again (sick of it). Please, Explain to me how factory ECU will perform better than MINES ecu on 12 psi. Mods: Split fire coil pack Turbotech controller set to 12psi Apexi cooler K&N Filter Full exaust Greddy blow off Mines ECU Stock turbo, fuel and everything else. -This map here, there is nothign wrong with it is there? Not too rich not too lean? You cannot tell me that you will get a graph like this from factory ecu so please dont tell me "there is bugger all difference", thats absolute rubbish. Even when i just bought it, i felt the difference, so again, dont tell me there is no difference.
  21. Spot on!
  22. I guess first thing is first, cooler. Ill have to get rid of pod and chuck the stock box in there, as i dont want problems with cops.
  23. Well how would you check? I thought the main thing to look out for is AFR's...
  24. AFRs are safe, no knock box.
