  2. I went off just after turn 4 at the kink after being sprayed with stones.
  3. Send it through. I struggle for speed through hayshed a little, I'd like to be doing 200 through the apex. It's 180 at the apexi and 190 in the braking zone. I snatch 5th before turning in and am flat to the floor the whole was through. I have tried 4th a couple of times, but I need more revs as the thing is on the limiter in the braking zone in 4th. 5th is fine, as the car is very stable through that section of the track. Turbo will small rear housing = no pull up top.

  5. That kinda happens when the diff explodes / oil makes it's way onto the rear tyres.
  6. It's WTAC weekend, I'll be trying to upstage a Z06 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
  7. Practice, good weight balance and wheel alignment. Don't brake too late, all the weight will be over the front wheels. Which means the rear will want to come around. That one is before the power and aero to.
  8. It's under the steering column. First time I've had it there for a full day.
  9. Pressurises the system and gets the pad to the face of the rotor. It makes a huge difference. You know when you go to press the pedal, it's going to be rock hard. Which it is. If you don't do it, the pedal will travel a long way before the car really starts to pull up. This way, you have total confidence and it pulls up straight away. It's just a touch, not enough to slow the car at all. Sandown Turn 1,5 and Winton Turn 1(11) get the same treatment. Most touring car drivers do the same thing, well that is where I stole it from. I don't even think about it anymore, just natural.

  12. I like Sandown, local. Get to be home early. I'm doing Sept 16th @ Winton with MelbS15 and Tampered. This should be a good one, with a heap of nice cars out on track.
  13. You'll be fine. Far less likely to a hit wall than to go through a guard rail in the mountains.
  14. Main straight and back straight... Dave, it's all about maximising the straights. Get on the power as early as you can out of 4 and the last corner, knocking 10kmh off the mid corner into those corners and getting the car settled will give you much more time at the other end. Brake early at turn 1, there is stuff all to be made up in the braking zone. Power done is what it's all about. 1.30-32 should be the aim. Yeh the walls are close, but aren't they always...
  15. I actually use the older 5hz version of the Q818XT. The Q1 has embedded recording I think. Just get the Q818XT, that is the one you want.
  16. Yep, G3 is fine. But you will need an external GPS. The internal unit sucks, I think Trackmaster is the best software for Android.
  17. If it's flying around the cabinet at PI it could end up anywhere. End of the day, it's common sense. No teck screws, bolts that are made from metal and not plastic (zipties) and attached in two locations so it doesn't swivel all over the place.
  18. They have actually done a few mail-outs already. As Snowy says, the rules are quiet open to interpretation in some respects. IE a front bar can integrate diffuser and canards. The rules do allow for that, as it doesn't stipulate the new bar must be the same as the oem bar.
  19. There are no washer for the seat..... 1. You don't want the fire ext under the brake pedal!
  20. Mine is the same, though 3.5mm from bunnings.
