  1. All of you guys need to check your wiring, especially your main earths. That was the problem with mine. If your earth wire is secure, try adding another one somewhere on the chasis. A voltage drop will cause HICAS to cut out and sometimes power steering, I am not sure why but all other electrics work fine. Good luck.
  2. Dude you should u tube this thing and listen to its note. Like nothing I have ever heard. I prefer the sound of a quad rotor pesonally.
  3. There was a black 33 yesterday (could not tell if it was gtr or gts-t from where i was) driving on James Ruse drive heading towards the gw at about 5pm. It was blowing heaps of white smoke and did not sound healthy at all.
  4. Just to wrap my old topic up because I finally found an answer. Also so if anyone were to sticky this it wont be a waste of time reading it becuase it has a conclusion now. If you have an R33 gtr engine in an R32 you need to use the R32 GTR water temp sensor (installed at front of engine head) for your gauge to work. Thanks Jez
  5. Dont worry guys I have found a picture of this car: Be quick, this car wont be here long.
  6. gracias amigo! Can't wait!
  7. The Autech stag is 4WD and has an RB26DETT dont forget.
  8. has anyone got any more pics or vids of this up yet? I hope to have mine up on the weekend.
  9. Haha, not ban worthy but deserves a slight roast anyways. We will just have to educate him in some SAU etiquette. Besides it shouldn't take long before he realises that he shouldn't be checking out and calling girlfiends of built guys hot....hopefully he wont learn that the hard way.
  10. I second this. When I was looking at skylines (obviously bought a 32 gtr though) I test drove some 33 gts-t's. There was this yellow series two in particular that I tested and it was freakin quick. Still retained the RB25, so I can definately vouch for its potential. From what I hear there is just too much trouble putting a gtr engine in for what its worth, it just sounds cool to say you have a gtr engine lol.
  11. -1 Had some tall greek chick in the back of my car once and she kicked the crap out of my console, cracked my cd player face and some other stuff. Had to get it all replaced. Cheaper to rent a hotel.
  12. Erm yeah that was me removing the plastic wheel arch shroud that decided to come loose. Was actually the reason why I turned around earlier. The cammo skyline had to do the same thing at the halfway house. I had some strange counrty folk stop and watch me, at first I was scared - thought they might eat me and my friend but turns out they were cool and were just offering some help.
  13. Forecast for Saturday Partly cloudy. Chance of a shower but mostly fine. Moderate southerly winds tending southeast to northeast in the afternoon. Precis: Mostly fine. City: Min: 17 Max: 24 West: Min: 15 Max: 31
  14. Seeing as I am the only person that voted for 'other' I might as well back it up. Rat rod style RB: Personally I want to apply this kind of theme to an rb:
  15. BOM: Saturday Chance afternoon shower/thunderstorm. City: Min: 17 Max: 26 West: Min: 15 Max: 31
  16. This takes me to the bus: Followed by: and then
  17. I have the same problem with mine. I wanted to put yellow ones in like the S13 silvia's - but alas, no connections on the headlight. Kinda seems pointless having the thing designed like its supposed to house a globe but you can't put one in! I must say they are the best looking of the 32 lights though.
  18. ^^ Yep, but only one of the three are combustion chambers.
  19. +1 definately a posibility with the deacceleration thing.
  20. Yeah they look nice. Might look into it. I was thinking of somthing in a matte black though or a dark bronze. I do approve of the style though - its neat and looks sporty, I can't stand cromies etc, looks very tacky.
  21. Funny, I though I posted up earlier - turns out I haven't. Pretty average looking gtr, just kept simple. Thinking of getting new rims but can't decide on what ones to get. I was going go stock but maybe they will look too small?
  22. Man its refreshing to hear that I am not the only one that cops constant nit picking. We have to be strong boys, dont let them win and buy a corolla. I get: 1. Too noisy 2. Too smelly (it runs rich and she blames it for her sore throats) 3. Too fast 4. Wont stay straight in wet (apperntly we are all going to die when it steps out a little) 5. Too bumpy, gotta love western sydney roads and coilovers. I dont have much teeth left haha. 6. Keeps breaking stuff and costs too much money 7. Too old 8. 'Everyone stares at me wherever we go, its so embarrassing' There is soooo much more but they are the most common. I have gotten so used to the punches that I automatically put my arm out to block, her fist hits my forarm and it hurts her so she says I beat her up regardless of how much sense that doesnt make. Sigh. She drives the 09 GTi turbo Peugot and goes hard all the time. Double freaking standards.
  23. +2 again...cars all fixed up. lol.
  24. I admit I have not had much exposure with engine failures (except for the one I had earlier which just involved white smoke). So I got a mechanic to diagnose it at my house for me - a friend of a friend of mine. That person told me it was a big end bearing so I took his word for it (this person said it was too big a job for him). As he said I shouldnt be driving it so I was unable to take it to other mechanics so I started asking around. The first thing I checked though was the fan the day it happened, I turned the car off and free spun the fan with my hand and it wasn't even close to hitting anything. It seems to change its position when the car turns on or something. The other factor that made me beleive him was that the sound was really loud and sounded very metallic. I guess I am releived at the outcome and on the bright side in the event of an engine failure I know what to do and what to look for. All part of the learning process I suppose.
