Cheers for all the replys, it really sucks when stuff like this happens to your own pride and joy but if its going to help others out there to look after their cars more and to prevent this happening again, then i guess its all worthwhile and me being the guinea cop (and not the only one by the sounds of things, SteveP unfortunate with his car aswell) Krishy - yeah i agree stolen vehicles are totally another story, luckily it was still there and drivable too Nightcrawler - i kinda agree with Writeoff about the alarm, i was saving up to get one in good time, coz i dont usually drive it around i didnt see the need to have one, however may have helped in this situation. but then again perhaps the bandit may have been aggro'd and kicked in a couple of panels from frustration? (which would be more costly to fix and all) but definitely going for an alarm and club lock after this ordeal, thanks for the advice at the end of the day, im glad it wasnt damaged like exterior which would be costly to fix, nothing was stolen (apart from torch lols) just looks like a mess but still drives =) will take some pics when i can stand looking at the mess again, until then, keep safe and your cars also!

Last night after staying late at uni studying found out my car got broken into and underside of the dash on the driverside totally ripped apart and all, my stuff was everywhere with bits and peices of the panels on the floor. Happened during 6-1am on victoria dr north adelaide, a police report has been made however i doubt they can do much anyways. Had the raa check it and said my immobiliser saved my car. Car was already jacked to 'on' postition only needing the remote to activate , then away it goes. Car is 93 r32 gtr stock spec Slightly dissapointed police patrols took more than 2hrs to come by apparently they were rather occupied for the night. So now its at home after disarming the immobiliser in the garage and will be for a long time to come. Had no valuables in the car, didnt even take anything ( head unit still there) took my cheapo torch though.... No external damage to body, ive got no idea how they got in, perhaps wire n hook past window, no forced entry. Wondering if any guys on sau know how much this would be to fix up?? The starter( thing the key goes into) has been ripped off mount, underside panel us bent/ ripped off with force and will need replacing. The indicator lever is lower than usual, perhaps steering column been rotated somehow. And just other buts and peices if plastic missing, wiring seems intact although hanging loosely everywhere at the moment very unfortunate just letting you guys know that parking in a public place isnt probably the best idea, at least not til late. Any info regarding replacement costs, how hard it is to get these parts and possible places that can fix this would really help. Or if anyone else has had this happen to them lemme know. Thank guys

ive got no idea when it comes to mechanics and all, but i did have a guess it was either the clutch or the turbo/s (r32 gtr). it still drives relatively ok, need to put alot more effort in shifting and taking off (like just from stationery). any advice on replacement soon? or is leaving it a bad idea? Yao p.s. thanks to craig and madaz for the advice

was driving last night off the lights and car revved to about 6k in first before i shifted then it hit about 5k in second without the power kicking in..was really loud after that little dilemma now my engine bay smells like burnt rubber and when i change gears,it just doesnt sound like what it did before... wondering what happened, any ideas?

spotted/followed TYPEVU from end of north tce down anzac til etsa, looking good, especially clean, despite the rain

spotted white 33 and a 34 at target upark, a clean 31 cruising down anzacs about 30mins ago and a black 32 waiting in line for kfc on anzacs just waiting to see a r35... fingers crossed

yeah i did that with the 32, its not that hard. but mine was rego'd in VIC (and still is, despite having SA rego now aswell...lol). just went to melbs, did the paper work, called up vicroads to check vehicle status etc. drove it back and took it to ellemsia ct lonsdale i think (no need for the strict regency), which moved over from next to sturt road cop shop. just fill out a form, they do computer check and a brief look at your car. i got told to remove my tint...which was annoying but yeah all good, dint have to pay a cent (the 32 was fairly stock tho) call up places! for the cost of a std/local call u can save the hassles! good luck mate
