Gh05t's 32 Gtr Daily Cleanup

You could go wider depending on what you wanted but that'll need work and won't be stock styles as you've mentionned earlier in the thread. I think 9.5+15 are a pretty good fit. Pulled out my guard liners for now, might put the rear half on later... Think it was around $1.6k iirc or something like that, could be cheaper now etc -

Grats on the purchase and I'm sure you'll get great enjoyment for years to come. I've had mine for about 5-6years now and had been in storage for the last year, getting some work done and back will be back in my hands shortly. I recently put on a set of RPF1's 18x9.5 +15 in matte black (car is BNR32/KLO) and they look great. If you need any pics for fitment/etc feel free to PM me as I pestered alot of guys on here before I put down the money. Mine will be a daily soon -
I though the rims thing was OD +/- 1in or something, so just go 35's on bigger rims... as long as the OD is similar, no issues.

terry, planning on putting a CF exhaust shield on the bnr32, 3M red will do? comes off alright also?

Which Business To Help Clear A Vehicle For Sa Compliance
okooko replied to GH05T's topic in South Australia
Bought my BNR32 from Melbourne about 5 years ago, took it to Lonsdale for an ID Check Got pulled up on the tint only and got it removed to pass the inspection. It was fairly stock and the engine bay looked pretty clean. I got annoyed at the tint as I'd have to put it back on and it made me take two trips instead of one... Is it correct to assume if the vehicles got a pink slip or RWC that it'll be fine for SA rego? considering other states have seemingly stricter regulations? -
Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
okooko replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Not a chance without work. Well, they'll fit... drivability is probably not great... My 18x9.5 RPF1's all round on the BNR32 barely fit as width goes. I can't remember if the GTST fronts are same but you'll need to run 245's if you want to not rub the guard liner. You'd have 1inch sticking out at the rears with 10.5's, not even camber alone with get that back.. -
Why does it matter? Put on the Nismo one, drive it If you want to sell it, just put the normal one back and quote additional kms you did on the Nismo one. Or leave the nismo one in and quote the kms you had on the original one plus what you did on the nismo one...

It's the Rocket Dancer Lip. The Jun/style one is more rounded around the brake duct.

thread revival.. does anyone have an after-shot of 6.5 splits into their r32 doors? i noticed from the sticky that: "R32 - 4x6" front, 6.5" rear (Plate in front doors will see a 6" in there)" just wondering how much it will effect the factory grill with that extra 0.5", I dont want to alter the look of it, not keen to hack up a chunk out of it to fit the 6.5's otherwise ill leave them as is. would i be better off with 6"? (tossing up between 6.5 alpine type R splits or 6" JL C2 splits) Regards, Yao

Hey all, My dilemma at the moment is selecting turbos, well actually the price of them to be exact. My main choices were the gt2860r-5's or the -7's, which for new I believe are about $2420+post (Kudos). As far as power corresponding to each of these turbos go, I'd be more inclined to go the -7's for street-ability/response and I don't see myself requiring 300+kw in the future. (that can be saved for another car) So I've found a private seller offering a set of -7's for ~$2k (said to be 1month old, claims to have receipts from horsepowerinabox - well, is getting the receipts sent to him because he misplaced his original ones). Currently they are installed on a car and will be removed in a few days, which I've requested photos for, to see the condition etc. Now when It comes to a $2k purchase I tend to get a bit sketchy and also I'm not really a fan of buying used goods. -would these be a good buy for nearly-new turbos? saving me a good 400 instantly? -turbos are meant to last for a long time, so will the month of use be disregarded and treated as new turbos? (will the month of wear be anything to worry about?) At the end of the day, I don't want to fork out $2k for a set of used items when I could have bought new ones for a bit more with ease of mind. Thanks guys, Yao

Hey all, My cars been out of action for a bit due to turbo replacements coming soon. Was just doing my weekly starts to idle the car making sure everything runs and what not but this time I heard some sort of clickity sound going on periodically (apologies for the dodgy explanation). I was originally planning on driving to the shop (likely to be Boostworx once I purchase my turbos) but now I'm pretty sketchy and am not planning to take the risk just in case I do more damage. So is there anyone on here that has a tow? that can give me a hand? Time frame will be in a few weeks as everything is dependent on when I can get the turbos. Reward/price can be negotiable Feel free to send me a PM Thanks guys, Yao

Well I left my number at Boostworx waiting for them to call them back, but I think they forgot... Might give it another try next week. (I won't have my turbos soon anyways, probably 2 weeks away) When I'm getting the turbos put in, is there any other fittings/bits & peices that I would need? perhaps the turbo gaskets? ($275 from Just Jap) Also I dropped by AM Performance today and had a good chat to Andrew, hopefully getting him to put on a full exhaust system for me (dump, front pipe, cat, catback) Saw Heslos car under covers getting some work done. Looks mint, would sound mean with the new exhaust for sure!

In need of replacing my turbos on my 93 gtr, with -7's from a private seller, so I'm wondering where in Adelaide does good turbo jobs? I've heard good things about Boostworx and Auto Solutions, just asking if anyone has had their turbos done at either of these places or elsewhere Cheers

Hey all, I'm currently considering replacing my stock turbos on my 93 R32 GTR. I've had a quick search of past topics but nothing has really addressed my concerns, so my apologies for asking the same questions again. STORY______________________________ The car is basically stock which is how i bought it about a year ago, since then i have replaced the clutch with a Jim Berry clutch (and a drivers side underpanel fix when someone tried to flex it with my car). Found out on of the turbos impellers ended up in the exhaust when putting on the cltuch hence need to replace my turbos altogether, was suggested that i drive my car less after that. SUGGESTIONS________________________ 1. How much does it cost in general for a turbo job? (new turbos + labor +other?) 2. What are suggested turbo upgrades for my car? (2860 -5?, -7?) 3. What are some other parts to replace while replacing turbos? (dumps? considering i'm paying labor already) REQUIREMENTS________________________ Not looking for huge power figures, just something to replace that runs well with stock parts ( dont want turbos that require aftermarket parts to be effective) also with some headroom for future upgrades. i would be happy with <300kw, perhaps -5's? Budget, i know these jobs are not cheap so i've spared 5-6k, preferably to replace turbos + labor$$$ and if left over +dumps? ALTERNATIVE___________________________ I dont know alot about single turbo conversions, but was interested when i saw some impressive setups. How much are these conversions usually? is it worth it to do this considering the amount of money i'm putting forward? or is that figure (5-6k) not enough for a conversion? BOTTOM LINE___________________________ Im sure a single t04z would be nice, but not necessarily practical for my needs. i would like to have a new set of turbos and some side-parts (dumps) if they fit within my budget. i would love brand name parts however, i dont have the budget to accommodate for these. any suggestions would be much appreciated, Thanks guys okooko
