  1. Well that's just shit! I'd love an AE86 Trueno, Mitsi Starion or Skyline R30 RS-X/HR31 one day but it sounds like thats going to become quite a bit more difficult.
  2. 1968 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport. Awesome cruiser
  3. From memory the York Cruise was good fun. Re-run?
  4. In the current car market, I wouldn't be putting my hopes on getting anything above $13k. Especially so close to its major service!
  5. Just a turbo, AWD corolla with a horrible interior. Want a quick relatively stock wagon thats nice inside buy a Legnum of a 260RS. Want a big roomy wagon buy a Stagea (C34 or M35). Want a luxo wagon get an M35. Want something average, get a Caldona.
  6. Never said it was a problem, just said it was more expensive!
  7. Yep Ozzy Park was ghey. Sooo many cars at work with dents and cracked windows
  8. I can confirm that it is far more expensive to import then to buy locally (I'm finishing importing myself as a type this, car gets rego'd next week). Because importing can be a legnthy process (months obviously) you end up buying more and more stuff for your car before it has even arrived (E.g Bonnet, Wheels, Seats, Coilovers, Boost Controllers, Air Filters, BOVs, Ganadors...). In the end what you saved on your car you spent on mods and then some before you can even fit them
  9. I have for sale a drivers side Bride Super Low Rail w/side mounting brackets. It apparently suits Nissan S13/S14/S15's (Including 180SX). I heve never personally used this rail but came out of a Nissan 180SX using a Bride Fixed Back Racing Seat (Artis II). It is in decent condition and is in perfect working order. Price: $150 I can help organise postage/shipping at buyers expense. I can be reached on 0418 922 780 for any queries. Tell your friends!
  10. They should fit alright with the tyres I suggested, in fact the 225's and 255's should be a big help with all your clearence issues you are worried about. But with wheels of those specs, definitely get your guards rolled. You will need it, especially after lowering. Lowering will also induce natural negative camber. The tyres I suggested though will give you the most amount of tyre stretch you can legally have with those wheels as well as keep your overall rolling diameter as close as possible to factory. So lower your car, roll the guards, fir the wheels, pick up chicks.
  11. Run 225/40R18's in the front and 255/35R8's in the rear will look awesome. Do it!
  12. My mate has a set of R32 stockies at work (Osborne Park). He might not lend them for free though
  13. Yes, there is a bit of shift lag in the R34 tiptronic box but if you back off the accelerator a bit when changing you will have no problems. The autos are no slower then the manuals. The auto SHOULD win in a straight line race. It's very possible to convert to a manual (I was looking at the same thingwhen I had my auto R34). But if you want a manual then just buy a factory manual, its just smarter. You will need to get the gearbox, pedal box, shifter etc... and after all that you will stil have an auto steering wheel (with the steering wheel shifters) and an auto dash. You can get a complete conversion kit for $2k - $3k but once you've done a few mods you will have to fork out for a heavy duty clutch aswell. The auto box is strong though. Check the auto section of the forum lots of guys making VERY decent numbers. There is also a guy getting about in a white auto R34 with an RB30DET (He was in Performance Imports a little while back) in it using the 4 speed tiptronic box strengthened. If you want an auto you can look at getting it strengthened, chuck in a shift kit and a high stall and you can chuck as much power in to it as you want!
  14. Mitsubishi Starion
  15. CA18DET with a stroker kit then prepare for mad respect.
  16. Like what was said it should be STI vs Evo in your decision, the WRX is more on par with the Galant VR-4 IMO. And go an Evo 5, 6 or 6.5 TME, all awesome cars and unlike the Impreza did not come from the Subaru school of ugly as f*ck cars.
  17. Not being able to sell my car yet even though it's at a reasonable price IMO. Then getting a text last night asking if I wanted to trade for some SS Commonwhore.... no thanks. But what really grinds my gears is that all my money thats going towards modding my new car is held up in the R34. This means I haven't ordered, wheels, rails, coilovers, swaybars, a bonnet, boost/temp gauges....
  18. Recently bough a Mitsubishi Legnum
  19. The Stag's weight wouldn't have done it any favours. Chuck some semi-decent money at the RB though and the Caldina won't stand a chance. The reason the Caldina was driving so fast was that he didn't want the Stagea driver to look in and check out his sh*thouse interior Put them both up against a similarly modded Legnum and watch as the Mitsi heads out in front. However put them up against a 260RS with boost restrictor cut and a 'zaust and watch it show them how its done
  20. You're a smart man Mr Eps, do what I didn't and import a late model, low km, 1J Soarer. They seem to be awesome cruisers and that engine is tuff. Great choice and good luck! I know when I was looking at Soarers it is very hard to find one you like.
  21. Get an EVO VI TME. Will cost you in the mid twenties but it will seat 5, pull hard, corner harder and look the goods. Do it!
