Will These Wheels Fit Nicely On R34 Gtt
Hank Scorpio replied to Seanos's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
They'd fit alright but wouldn't look "great" (The fitement that is, its a sexy wheel). They would sit inside the guards burt you'd have no clearence issues (I'm running wider wheels and lower offsets on my R34 opn coilovers with bog standard guards, un-rolled). 2k might be a bit much purely because the sizes and offsets aren't ideal for your car, but then again better then some Knob Jane Homo-spec wheels. If you like them get them. My valuation (private sale) $1.5k - $2k Also, run the higher offset on the front as your rear guards are wider -
WGMG, having to wait months for my new car from Japan and having to drive a Toyota Crown (not a cool one) after I sell the R34.

Spotted a Red RS4 in the shop today (Tyrepower Osborne Park) with a Stagea/SAU sticker on the back getting a wheel alignment.

A quick pic of my car on the dyno from the SAUWA dyno day on Sunday. (Thanks for the pic Levi!)

Thanks for organising it guys. Unfortunatley I was all show and no go, 188.2 RWHP considering I was running low boost on a hot day I suppose I can't complain. Once I boost it up it should be a little more responsive

8:00am rock up at Greg's, install boost controller. 10:30am rock up at Autoworx for a dyno run. All in a mornings work Can't wait!

It's alright, you'll be helping me pull some bigger numbers so it won't be a waste

Good man Stephen! We'll see how the 6A13 fairs!

Would You Let Another Guy Take Your Girl Out?
Hank Scorpio replied to GTRWAGON's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I've only ever let my gf and my mechanic drive my car (she's on here though, owned an R33 and now a Onevia) and only a select few times when I was in the passenger seat. Even then she didn't drive very fast because she was scared of scratching my perfect wheels, good girl! My brother has asked many times, and every time the answer has been no. As for my folks I think both my mum and dad would have trouble getting in and out of the Bride seat, lol! -
Wow, what would an Autech R33 GT-R Sedan go for these days?
-
I'm selling it and only have two hp performance mods to it but fark it, I'm in! Money has been sent. The slow stealth R34 shall be there!

I thought E39's were circa 2003 and still fetching $20k+? Anyway parts will be expensive and it will like to drink! 300ZX's are cool, especially targa tops. HOWEVER! They are heavy (those electric seats weigh a tonne!) and the engine bay is horribly cramped. Nn thanks! Alfa's are made as well as a VN Commodore, and thats certainly not a good thing! LS400's are pimp! Get a top of the line one and you will enjoy leather, sunroof, dual zone climate control, electric/reclinable rear seats. And as for the 1UZ-FE, it is bulletproof and sounds great with a bit of zaust work. Chuck on a few turbos and you'll be making a lazy 600hp all day long! Only problem is they are getting old (and alot of examples aren't great) and kms are generally high. In saying that parts are plentiful. As an ex-Lexus owner myself I say go the LS!
-
I'd have to say go the R34 GT-T for a daily. It will be a little cheaper to run (insurance, petrol, parts) and it will be newer. Depending on how much driving you do I'd rather put a high amount of kms on a GT-T rather then a GT-R. In terms of my "daily" driving I sometimes have to park my car at a train station, I'd much rather leave my GT-T there then a GT-R, not to mention shopping centres and the like. Of course the GT-R is able to produce more hp easier and is a better base to work off of performance wise, but you probably have to ask yourself what you want out of a daily driver. My 2 cents.

Yeah man, the F50 is my favourite Ferrari aswell, hands down! The problem being last time I saw they were still in the region of $900,000.00 AUD not quite GT-R/360/Testarossa money!
-
Mr Eps you are tempting me! Thats is a good looking Soarer! Didn't ralsie the manuals were so rare!
-
"SC400 is exclusively the Lexus model designation...so they are correct in saying SC400 if they do have a Lexus. You probably have a heap of customers with Soarers badged up to be an SC400." This is what I thought also. As far as I was aware the 1UZ-FE Lexus' were called SC400's, the 2JZ-GE Lexus' were called SC300's and all of the imported Toyota's were called Soarers. Seeing as most people around have the V8's which I assumed were bought as a "Lexus" they were all driving SC400's! So in Australia they were sold as Lexus Soarers? Or were they not sold locally at all and they are all imported and therefor all Toyota Soarers and no Lexus'? Either way guess I was wrong! Woops! Anyhoo (and slightly off topic).... Before deciding on getting a different car I called up quite a few ads of people saying they had twin turbo Soarers for sale. Knowing a little about the 1J's I was quite interested and gave them a call. In 90% of the ads they didn't say what type of transmission they had (annoying!) when I rung up and asked whether it was a manual or an auto (and they all seemed to reply auto) they sounded shocked that I was no longer interested in their car. All other turbo import drivers it seems manage to let you know whether they have a manual or an auto, why not Soarer drivers? GRRR!
-
You're all wrong. Get a Testarossa, you will not be dissapointed
-
Hmmm interesting stuff. Seems that for what I would want and my budget the 1JZ would be the smarter go. After looking into it a bit more though the Soarer seems to be slightly porky and won't quite have the handling characteristics of other vehicles for similar money. Not to mention every man and his dog seems to have an SC400 (if they don't have an R33 that is ) It would be a cool project but not for now it seems, thanks for the help guys! But hey, keep the convo going, 'tis a good read!

Your First Car - Turbo Or N/a
Hank Scorpio replied to adznight's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Learnt to drive in (and drove for the start of my P's) 1998 Toyota Prado GXL Car #1 - 1993 Lexus ES300 Car #2 - 1998 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T Car #3 - ??? -
I'm selling the auto R34 so that I can trade up to something a little more manual. Now I have always liked Soarers and everyone knows that the 2JZ-GTE is an awesome engine. So I got to thinking why not put one in a Soarer? Obviously it has been done before but what I wanna know is just how easy/practical it would be. The Soarer came out with both a 1JZ-GTE and a 2JZ-GE, what would be a better base to start with? A manual 1JZ (the only engine that came with a manual box) or an auto 2JZ? With the price of Soarers very low these days one would think that within a reasonable budget you could get a decent priced Soarer, a 2JZ-GTE engine and build a pretty cool street machine. What do you guys think? How much would you budget to do the conversion and what model would you start with? Or with the 1JZ being a good, tough engine anyway perhaps sinking the extra cash into building that up would be a better use of the money. Thoughts SAU?

The fact that I still can't get this stupid boost controller to work properly. I'm ready to just up and buy a different one, although if I did that I'm sure Allen would kick my ass

Removing Gt Badges From R33 Gtst - Warning Lol
Hank Scorpio replied to MSTRshenanigans's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Removed my rear Nissan and 25GTT badges yesterday. The latter basically peeled off and a little bit of heat from a hairdryer and some wax floss took care of the Nissan badge. However I still can't get all the hard bits of glue off, I've tried washing the area and Armour All Bug and Tar remover. Any further suggestions?
