  1. Without a boost controller will ofter see your boost level drop off higher in the revs. This is because the pressure on the wastegate flap is also acting against the spring in the actuator.
  2. haha, I'm hoping that might have been why my shithouse Nulon went black after 4000km - did a better cleaning job than 8100. Sadly, I think I'm wrong. So this $15 GW business, might do my noisy lifter some favours if I could be arsed changing the oil twice in a fortnight
  3. Nah sorry mate, having a lazy one tonight (as usual for me). Eiji might rock up, he's usually out.
  4. Good to hear mate, what were the compression results? I'm interested to know what theirs showed so I know what they consider "perfectly fine" - just so I can gauge how "fine" mine is hahaha
  5. ^^^^ lolwut
  6. However my tuner set up my limiter on the v44 ECU, he's done it spot on. When I hit the limiter, it's not like I'm hitting a brick wall (like it is when I hit my overboost limiter), it sounds a bit weird but it's like the engine just stopped building revs all of a sudden. Love it.
  7. Ask any racer, any real racer. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile; winning's winning. FWIW
  8. Need I say? lol
  9. headed out past the cotter to blue range hut yesterday there was a corner that might as well have had the tarmac replaced with shredded rubber and steel wiring.
  10. No and no lol.
  11. What Shell said. I saw the movie on Friday and I'm still rocking up for the dinner (or to at least sit there and chat, kinda full from lunch lol)
  12. Definitely not. Never noticed it out the exhaust (on or off boost), have fark all blowby (absolutely nothing came out of the catch can) and as I said with the previous oil drop, the whole 5L came out whereas this one was a lot less Might honestly just be the oil, which wouldn't bother me too much. Would rather the oil be ghey than have bigger problems.
  13. eww lol
  14. I'd describe it as though I'd evenly covered the magnet in a fine film of never-seez. When I eventually get around to installing the gearbox plug (reaaallly couldn't be farked changing the fluid lol) I'd HATE to see what gets stuck to the plug when I run it through the dropped fluid. Probs gonna find some nice chunks knowing my driving.
  15. So anyone wanna start a relocation kit group buy? I'm too retarded and I wants one!
  16. Just dropped the oil from mine for the first time since installing the plug, very happy to say it worked well. Obviously there wasn't THAT much crap on the magnet else I wouldn't be here telling you I'm happy - but there was definitely some fine metal dust on there. I'd expect there to be less after the next change as no doubt what was on there now had been sitting in the sump for a while.
  17. 5.5L of Nulon 10w40 fully synth shit went in. ~4L comes out. After 4000km. What shit. Last oil I used was 8100 5w40, and the entire 5L came back out when I dropped it. This oil breaks down and burns very easily, won't be using it again after I get through what I put back in (like I said previously, got 10L cheap so couldn't turn it down). It also stank a bit more than it should. Will be keen to try out the 8100 10w40 stuff next.
  18. Dropping the Nulon 10w40 100% synth stuff tomorrow morning, will let you know how it looks/smells lol
  19. Master cylinder is right on the other side of the firewall from the clutch pedal. It's where you put the fluid.
  20. hahaha, I would come but it's a weekday for one and I'll be in Estonia at that time
  21. Jesus christ. You never cease to amaze....
  22. the sphincter of the universe (yeah I know it's more than 1 word, but technically I only TYPED one word)
