  1. I didn't catch the original description of this "noise" but would you describe it as a bearing full of sand spinning? If so, 99.9% chance it is NOT your thrust bearing. Input shaft bearing in your gearbox, pretty much the first bearing, and the one to take the most load. Same thing ate shit in my VL's gearbox, we replaced the box, all was well...for a while at least, now with the second hand box same thing is f**ked. When we drained the first box, good majority of the bearing and the bearing cage came out with the oil... My current skyline box makes the same sound, just not very loud. The gearbox isn't the best in the world (synchros are shithouse, thank god I double clutch 24/7 anyways) My knowledge of the thrust bearing though is that it will only be spinning (like in the way it was designed as a bearing, not just rotating in place but not "rolling") while you have you foot on the clutch...unless of course for some reason R33 clutches have constant (small) load on that bearing...either way it's why I've been taught to always chuck a manual car in neutral while not requiring gear... My thrust bearing (I suspect) DOES however make a small chirping sound while the clutch is out in neutral after a few seconds...shuts up if you so much as think about touching the clutch pedal...lol well nah you just have to touch it ever so lightly...idk
  2. Yeah Kat you should have, but I already know....and yes I agree it was smart of you not to post your bank details. Though just shoot me an email with them and I'll transfer the cash right away! [email protected] Thanks! SOMEONE BUY KAT'S GEAR FOR REALZ!
  3. so we have a deal for $1000?
  4. yay I was right
  5. $1000 for the turbos. I'll put them on my lawnmower.
  6. I take it you know which shop I'm speaking of haha...well I took it there once on a Saturday as advised by a mate at work, and a girl at work. They're both good friends with the guy who more or less runs it on Saturdays (as they're not open for general business, more just cash as a second job that they enjoy), and it's the chicks ex as well. It appeared as though there was about 5 guys working there on the day, all relatively young, and by appearance you wouldn't trust them with your hair let alone your car...particularly the fella it was organised through (looked like he just got out of LA county jail or something lol)...regardless, the guy himself was VERY polite and easy going, and they did an absolutely wonderful job. Naturally I also noted the trip meter before I left the car with them, and it only went up 100m-ish...which is roughly the disatance they drove the cars from where I dropped it off, into the garage, and to where I picked it up. This is only really my personal experience with these guys, but since they're running it in their own time on a Saturday for some extra cash, it seems a little more honest, and that they're not there to joy ride etc
  7. You could do with some exercise, fatty. haha nah man I'd be more than happy to help if the C'link wasn't such a harsh bitch on Fridays and let me piss off.
  8. Obligatory comment about how you're probably unneccessarily flogging the standing engine, but I don't know shit lol While I have no actual knowledge on how a BOV works, my understanding is that as you release the throttle, the throttle valve thingywhatsit in the throttle body (lolterminology) closes, causing a restriction to airflow, in turn causing backpreasure, which IN TURNNNNNN causes the BOV to open. If yours isn't opening correctly unless there is a rather high airflow when you're at high rpm, it could be that the spring is set too hard or is faulty in some way. Like I said I don't know the workings of it, so this is speculation (like most of my input) Hope this helps
  9. I would say yes I'm keen, but oh god after doing it previously, and the condition of my paint....no thanks lol....I'd rather pay through the teeth for it to be done while I wander around Westfield belco for a few hours
  10. Mine's in DIRE need of a wash (inside and out), vacuum inside, and cut/polish...methinks FULL detail the day before
  11. Perhaps it was suggested to wire like that for firing order? 1-5-3-6-2-4, so by having them paired like that, they'd be signaling ch1, ch2, ch3, repeat? I too would like confirmation on that for my own knowledge I'm probably way off
  12. Blue 34 GTR on Yamba drive near the hospital, was stuck a couple of cars back and couldn't get in closer for the wave also I believe ZANE this morning as he went up the Hindmarsh exit ramp from Monaro heading south...I was on other wise of the highway
  13. Stupid question, but do we need to fill out and submit the entry form? I'm going with yes, but I'm getting the impression we might not? On second assessment, the entry form is dated 2009....question still remains, though the form itself is invalid lol
  14. 1- Donnan 32 GTR 2- Kat 32 GTR 3- Troy 33 GTS-T
  15. Spotted nice white 33 headed south on the Monaro this morning near the gaol, I was going other way so I didn't wave, not to mention with tint that dark who could expect you to see
  16. Spotted dark red R32 GTR down the end of my street in Richardson, gave a wave and got one back. Very nice car
  17. Not a bad asking price either
  18. I'd always stop for an accident, because as you made obvious, it's sad how many people don't. I'd especially stop just so I could be a witness if it was someone doing something STUPID, or clearly in the wrong. If it's only something minor, and blatently obvious who's at fault, and nobody would be injured, I wouldn't necessarily stop, unless I saw it happen right in front of me.
  19. Looks like a very clean ride mate, good luck with the sale! What were you asking for her?
  20. haha yay Zane saw me! lol yeah I think I saw an opening in the traffic and might have gunned it a little. I know this morning I accidentally stepped out in second as I made that corner...love it.
  21. Don't lie SiN, you'll hurt our feelings
  22. Spotted white 35 reverse parallel parking on genge, was right behind him...waiting lol then Helious just around the corner
  23. nah Shell I can't at work, just shows a big blank space in your post. But aren't they still from England? Why on earth would I have seen them lol
  24. yeah there's also some band or something from England...
  25. Only saints I can think of are the New Orleans Saints who were in the Super Bowl....but now that I check wikipedia, I see you know about an indoor football team...lol Shell what DO you do with your spare time?
