about to order one of these here turbos, sorry Stao should be able to make the transfer tomorrow night when i have some dosh. anway Toshi up here in Sydney is going to do the tune once i get this Z32 AFM with a cable that i need, http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=19500&cat=&page=1 seems like a fair price. With the turbo going for 1450 or so, the tune 650 and the injectors 600 or so the whole thing shouldnt set me back more than 3k including the install. not bad considering i should be making close to 300kw. Toshi says... can i push for the magic 300 with standard internals and head?

in the city. pitt st and park near that maccas and opp galeries victoria. im in there a lot, have a hand held one already but its shite so considering an upgrade for the cruise. are these prices good?
-
yeah i wimped out due to combination of late night and the rain, sorry to hear it flat lined a little out there. hope to make one of the cruises next week, whether this or the stag thing. fingers crossed re weather!

Best Bang For Buck Sub 30K Skyline?
hamiltonau replied to hamiltonau's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ahh i love Sundays, especially rain soaked ones. Thread has been languishing all week and suddenly BAM like the turbo just spooled up and theres a flurry of awesome full power replies! Minus points to MLR for mentioning a Mitsubishi group product in an unashamedly logic defying Skyline worshiping thread, bad boy Otherwise good stuff, just rang old mate Stao in Melbourne and mostly because i cant be arsed chasing up a housing to send him I ordered the ATR43G3 which will apparently make 320KW ...?! wtf this is huge, will be like a pig in shit if i can make anything close to that power with my laggy boat. Still need to talk to Toshi (anyone have his number etc?) and someone in here had injectors for me that were going cheap, Aggroman where are you? So this is slowly kicking into gear, clutch is a twin plate exedy and fuel pump is straight out of an R33 GTR so hopefully those mods will make do for now. My hoses do still have a leak in them somewhere (even after being gassed and replaced) so hopefully the new setup will take care of that problem. NYTSKY your not wrong about cash burning a whole in my pocket, need to lend the ex wife 3k so she can move into a new flat so including this small 'tweak' to my engine i will be pretty much back at square one post wallet explosion. BenM i love the train metaphor, i take it you remembered i work on the railways, i am fully aware of the superiority of GTRs and gotta say i prefer the look of R32s over 33's so its interesting to note they are probably quicker to boot. However for me the granddaddy is the R34 and im so far off being able to fit one of those in my garage i need something to tide me over, im just sick of riding the arse of bog standard Commodores etc through the corners (at wakefield and EC) only to have them fly off towards the horizon on the straight and it begin all over again when i catch up. In a couple of years i should be able to afford and rightfully own the car of my dreams and then decide if im going to keep the track hack R33 as a stripped out paddock basher while leaving the GTR nice and shiny or just switch over completely to the Godzilla. plenty of time to ponder that one though.. ok sorry for the novella guys but really appreciate all the advice! (oh and this is the Toshi thread, seems like a good deal) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/362235-nistune-realtime-road-and-dyno-tune-cheapest-in-sydney/page__p__5981058__fromsearch__1#entry5981058 -
the dinners in Gosford and you live in Newtown..whos going to be coming back to yours? hehe up for pub crawl back in town if thats how it goes though, biggest problem with it being out there is knowing i have to drive back hence only the 2 beers all night..

speaking of tunes, a while back i heard about this Toshi guy in Sydney who tunes the factory ecu on the fly as you drive around. ie sits next to you, plugs in his laptop and gets it all done without the need for a piggy backed ECU. Has anyone used him? I believe he was charging 600 bucks so this seems to be an average ball park figure for most tuners. i certainly couldnt afford to pay 1200 for one!

saw this in Dick Smiths other day curious if decent radios/good deals?
-
just come to the meet up brah, i will show just to scope out how many actually make it..
-
just my own but i reckon i only need about half of it, never got around to donating any and apparently u can lose a pint a week and be fine. That means with sound logic and applied maths that i should have built up megalitres of unnecessary blood!

Best Bang For Buck Sub 30K Skyline?
hamiltonau replied to hamiltonau's topic in General Automotive Discussion
^^ had no idea you liked me Maxima, no homo but thats really pretty awesome of you to do the bar graph thingies, curiously there seems to be more V specs than normal 33 GTR's. Would love a 34 graph just for kicks, seen some of them drop as low as 39k http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=10994583&__Qpb=1&Cr=0&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294963846%204294963593%204294856205&SearchAction=N&silo=1011&seot=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&trecs=29&__sid=132880779C70 thinking now just to throw in a Hypergeared turbo (1k or so) and get Toshi to do a one off remap (600bucks) plus of course some injectors (650or so) which should see me with about 260KW plus, this is more enough for the street and just enough on the track to keep me going till i can afford the overpriced but must have R34 N1 V-spec! might even keep the R33 as i know i would never get the money back on the mods and leave the GTR relatively unmolested..It will be pretty hard to resist doing something to the engine though..so much potential.. also with those stats im assuming ur search was nation wide not just NSW? -
cool thread is alive again.. how many are trailer queens im wondering?
-
350RWKW? it was pretty much inevitable...weird i didnt see this thread earlier..anyhoo great night, will have to jump on the skidpan next time!

as long as I aint going anywhere near the toilets with that toothbrush, will have flashbacks to my bootcamp days in the army...shudder. blood is fine though, i got litres of that stuff i dont need..

ahhh shit not heard that one, used to love reading true crime novels about those guys, they really are a one of a kind criminal phenomenom. Basically the reason Japan got into WW2 if you believe some of the books, even more hilarious are the full on right wing black coats who rant about foreigners. Had one jostle me on a platform in Tokyo once, I was pretty drunk but resisted pounding him into seven shades of blue and just took off laughing. always the best way to end a fight i find..

so does the discount just bring it into line with what you would pay roughly in a private sale? but u get the bonus of a 3 month warranty and provenance?
-
sounds like heaven. cept for the lack of beer and wimminz...
-
Aww i thought they might have those Rodeo bull robot thingys, probably not something u would want to jump on after a big juicy steak anyway Great post N1, made me want to start driving down there already, not sure if my hotel has a pool though, Mr Moo went and organised it all!

Yeah sad panda on hearing Tarcutta burgers have winked out of existence, was looking forward to some lush gourmet shit halfway down. packed lunch it is then! know what you mean about overtaking same cars, the number of times i have flown down the freeway past everyone, stopped to get petrol then had to meekly pass the same people all over again, cant help feeling a bit 3 steps forward two steps back. LOL at esky in the car, no way i could do that. would be far too tempting to raid it myself..
-
I posted a pic of a girl in police uniform. it was a vaguely short skirt that is all. nothing to see here, move along people! talk of flashing boobs is fine, talk of impersonating cops, no worries! post pics, GOONE! lol, made my day. anyhoo whats going on with the big drive down Eric? what are the numbers like? how many people are going to hit Melbourne afterwards for fun or is everyone rushing straight back to Sydney town for work?
-
it has been mentioned they do like the place surgically clean..i will bring a broom, mop and bucket with me the next time i go in for a service..
-
also there is a video section in the wasteland. watched this one the other night on PF, very frustrating without crashes, had to gorge on arab drift crash vids to make up for the BS in this one.

S A U N S W - Wakefield Trackday, Number 3 For 2011
hamiltonau replied to N1GTR's topic in Events Archive
last Exige i saw at Wakefield lost most of its front splitter after coming off on turn 4, hope you have a little more luck! not paid yet but hope to be at this one and good point whoever made it about higher cost of EC being somewhat mitigated by using less fuel to get there..will factor into my decision on stumping up for it. jesus that track can get scary when you hit some speed though.. -
