Wow I totally forgot about the train sequence, about as realistic as the bus making that jump really. Didn't mind the movie at the time but wow it looks dated now. Anyway why is it so hard to find a modded 370?

Yeah he is amazing, oh and speed was a bus not a train, I used to drive Those as well and they DO under steer.. Trains however, not a bit, in fact they corner almost as well as if they are on rails! (I know, groan)

Rob lives down the road and is a drinking buddy so same story, actually that's one way to get me to never forget someone's name. If they get me drunk (at least until the next morning)

sigh, fine. overcooked it a little coming down the mountain with Terry, Matt, ian, rob and whoever was in the blue 34GTR. Basically we were being held up big time by some dude in a lumbering tin tray work ute so eventually Matt backed off enough to give us a bit of room and then when we jumped on the gas to catch up again i lost it going into a sharp left hander and somehow stopped myself from going over the cliff by the use of lots of braking, pointless steering (locked up so i dont think the direction of the wheels made a difference) and prayer. Ended up just a few inches shy of the armco by the time i shuddered to a halt, meekly put it back in gear and trundled down the hill a little less hastily from then on. Ian was right behind me so im sure he was chuckling all the way down..im just glad my video camera battery died before it happened, its embarrassing enough telling the story let alone having to relive it on screen!

also yeah the white ones you guys mentioned are all the same car and its actually a trader, jimmy at sports Auto group in burwood. he took her for a test drive last week and now wont stop ringing her, even I get a missed call from him now and then for reasons unknown. Oh well, wont be getting the car through him i dont think..

haha fair enough, would like to think that if i noticed my times werent improving i would experiment with different lines, braking distances, vary which gear im in depending on corner until i noticed a drop in times again. Unfortunately i cant afford to get out there often enough to have been able to 'perfectly practice' with my current set up. The last time i was out there i managed a 1.10.3 as a PB so im hoping with a little more effort that the car is capable of cracking 1.09's.. I am very curious to see what a pro driver could do with it, if i can get the GPS timer thing working then im tempted to sign up for one of these days just to see what the BOZMAN can show me is possible.. (lost the product key that enables the software and eric isnt replying to my PM's)

yeah Matt i was being a smartarse with that post, dont worry. Im pretty sure i could spend the next 40 years on that track and still find ways i could improve my times, im just kinda shithouse at applying verbal instruction to my driving. practice makes perfect i say, at least once you have the basics down.
