  1. Replaced my O2 sensor with a nissan universal one from repco, worked ok for 1000km but then started bugging up. Was slightly hesitating at cruising speed then fuel economy went bad and finally engine light came on at cruising speed. My tuner said unplug the sensor and see if the problem is still there, so I did and that fixed it. So now I'm going to have to replace it again. And this time it's going to be geniuine. universal =
  2. Yup two of my mates have called mine a "hearse". Must be the long arse and dark tint I guess, but certainly not what I first thought when i saw one.
  3. Dropped my stag off for nistune chip and Dyno tune last week. Unfortunately the manager wasn't there so I had to drop it off with the apprentice. Later when I came to pick the car up the guys said the apprentice had called them and said "some bloke has just dropped his volvo off to get tuned or somethin". He'd never seen a stag before. Funny, it's the first time anyone has thought my stag was a vovlo. As iamhe77 said, I don't reckon the c34's look much like a vovlo. Unless they have an r34 front end conversion
  4. Just put the stag in for nistune chip and tune at EFI yesterday morning. It's getting on the dyno tommorrow morning. The bloke said the chip is good for 400hp, which they had run on a ca18det. Any more than that and you need an aftermarket ECU. Cant wait to see the results.
  5. I'm currently having a similar issue with some slight scrubbing at the rear under heavy load. in this thread it explains that you should only use flanged spacers; http://www.twincam.info/index.php?showtopi...mp;#entry375195 I think I'm gonna go with these: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Buddyclub-Wheel-Spa...id=p3286.c0.m14
  6. Nah no sarcasm, just realized that I hadn't paid much attention to the m35's.
  7. Hmm there's alot of thoughts on oils.... I'm no expert but seems like redline is the go if you wanna spend the $ or fuchs. But i've never used either. Just did an 8ok change and put motul 8100, which seemed to be a recommendation of a few different posts. Put Nulon trans fluid in as well, but never used the nulon engine oil. It's australian though, so that's a plus
  8. Spotted a yellow s2 c34 at autobarn carpark capalaba, had a parking sensor antenna (i think thats what it was) on the front bumper. Think I might have seen it at the SE qld cruise, but didn't meet the owner.
  9. noice! There's a bit more room in there compared with an s2 or s1 Is that 100mm core?
  10. Oh yeah, sweet. That's looks alright aye, hmmmm.....
  11. Well to be totally honest I wasn't %100 sure myself so I kept it propped on the trolley jack and had the stands more for safety, and only baring some of the weight. The chassis rails seemed too far forward for the stands, seemed like it would've been too close to the middle of the car. Can anyone confirm if this is an ok spot to prop it up?
  12. Really! Dang, I see them on my screen?? Hmm, Ill try again did they work this time?
  13. Just replaced my coilovers in my s2 rs, with reco'd teins. I think they're superwagons from what I can tell, the code is dmn-81.... the closest match on the websiste are jap spec superwagons which ar dsn-78... not sure if I'm reading it correctly. Can anyone confirm? Turns out I did have NISMO coilovers in there! Pitty they were shot, I think i'll hang on to them and wait and see how the teins go. Anyone know what sort of quality the nismo one's are? They must be half decent. Was a super easy job, front-three bolts at the top and two at the bottom. undid the lines and swap. May be slightly different in an AWD? back- two bolts at the top, and one at the bottom. Just used a scissor jack to line the bottom eyelet (correct term?) up under load. too easy! Just put it in for a wheel alignment, but the ride didn't seem jarring (which is what others on here have warned with teins). I could definately feel the road more, but the ride was fairly smooth. Sory for the pic overload, I know they're not the greatest shots. But I think this might have helped me when I was trying to see how if I could do it myself. Cheers, Dave-
  14. Well here's the pics, took the masa front bar off, was too low for the road trip to melbourne. and my gf was not too far off destroying it. HDI cooler kit had to cut about 25mm of the reo, and mounted on an angle it clears the oil cooler by about 4-5mm blocked off the vac hose that was from the nipple to the pwsteering pump, stilll not sure where to plumb it back in? had to cut the standard front bar on both sides where the pipes entered the cooler, but nowhere else. made a dodgy cold box out of the stock intercooler shroud, should work alright tho. (sorry to anyone that might have wanted it) Job done! Haven't yet decided wether I should cut the number plate section out to get more airflow or not?
  15. +1 lock it in eddie Have we decided on a route yet? I would be happy to do the same one, as I missed out on most of it last time. Cheers, Dave-
  16. Ahh yes I see now, cheers. However your intercooler piping has a nipple drilled into it, and the pipe goes to the actuator. Where as the pipe that was atatched to my original cooler piping goes down to the powersteering pump or something down the front? IMPORTD has a pic up of a feed from somwhere else further up the plenum, without a nipple from the cooler piping. Think I might try that. Still not sure about this other line though?
  17. It's the hose that was on the original intercooler piping, on a nipple from the top piece coming out of the plenum. But my FMIC piping doesn't have that nipple. Should I be thinking about drilling a hole in the piping to attacth it?? Or just block it off? FMIC install went well, I'm about to start the EBC install now so I will check the other threads on that. CHeers, guys. Pics will be up shortly
  18. Just wondering if most of you guys just blocked of this hose, like mike40sydney did in the pick below? Or if you plumbed it back in somewhere else? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a171470- Cheers, Dave-
  19. Damn that's almost uncanny timing. I'm actually driving my stag down from brisbane that day, but I probably won't be passing by newcastle til about 5 or 6pm. If for some reason I end up passing through earlier I'll have to drop by. Cheers, Dave-
  20. Just bought a HDI r33 FMIC kit, from MTQ in Brisbane for $500. Was a little suss on the monsta kits and wanted to get something half decent. Will be installing it tommorow with my mate, never done one before. Hopefully with the aid of this thread it won't be too much trouble. Will also be installing Greddy profec B at the same time, looking forward to the outcome. Will post pics hopefully tommorow or the next day (depending on how long it takes us ;-) Cheers, Dave-
  21. The zorst is all fitted up. There's a noticeable power increase, my mate said "that's the biggest increase he'd felt in an exhaust mod". Mind you it did go from stock to full 3" stainless turbo back with a split dump/front and 100 cell highflow metal cat. It's definately louder, not too bad tho. Just a little drone at 2-2500rpm, but it's fairly silent when just idling along. Back to the topic question tho; They didn't have to bend the pipe, just had to move the brackets and extend it by roughly 100mm. The split dump/front was for a 33 and didn't require any bending and wasn't fouling anything. However mine is a RWD which I think means there is less gear in the way up front?? There is slightly less ground clearance (to be expected), but it's a minor difference. He did say that he was glad I bought quality gear tho, because he gets some people bringing in dodgy cheap crap that doesn't fit and they want it to be fitted for nothing. So yes 32 exhausts will fit with a little modification. Cheers, Dave-
  22. Ha! Nice one Micah, I like your style Yeah late nov early dec sounds good. I'd be keen to look at at a route further north. But it's pretty nice down there. Whatever's clever trevor. Keep us posted Cheers, Dave-
