Why was the wing defected?

The beast had a short warm up base tune today on stock fuel pumps and pump fuel, made 430 atw kw with only 16 pounds of boost. Now just need to install fuel pumps and then do a proper power run - once we get e85 into her, anything is possible...

Car is built, software maps are built, e85 is delivered, Jim should tune it over the next couple of days, will find out the answer to the injector question soon enough.... Also have ordered aeromotions wing, enkei gtc01 wheels, braided brake lines, carbotech 12 & 16 pads, slicks and semis, and camber kit. Stay tuned, looking forward to bringing you dyno results, drag times, and track times over the next little while. Have decided to enter NSW super sprint next year - Duncan and Marek have it too easy at the moment...

Here's the CRD team focussed on building the beast! Next up is the fuel system, injectors, and exhaust...then Jim can tune this thing....

Martin, what exactly is involved with putting a cage in. Is my daily driver gone?

After a bit of a delay with customs, the HKS intercooler and Tranny cooler have finally arrived, just waiting for fuel pumps now...shouldnt be too long from here!

GT Ricer, Ill buy it. I have an "L" which is too small for me. For sale, same price. How should I pay you?

I did 85 laps, on bridgestones, they were fine. The mountain aint that tough on tyres. I always did more damage to tyres at oran pk. You'll go through one set of pads, I'm still on my original rear rotors. I've only gone through one set of fronts so far (18 months, 10 track days including bathurst). The other bathurst events give you no where near the drive time or unlimited speed access.

Based on my experience these changes should see yo achieve btw 340 and 360 atw, and a 0-100 of 3.4seconds (from 3.7). Maybe an 11.3 quarter. Do the dump pipes and intercooler pipes and boost controller and youll see a reliable 370 -380 (I had actuators too). I can do a reliable 3.0 0- 100, and high ten second quarter mile on standard 98 gas. If you have bigger future plans, go straight for the 4 inch exhaust system. My HKS midpipe and dump pipes are fore sale shortly otherwise.

Ok, I'll come clean, CRD are now completing phase two of my build. I previously did the HKS 570 kit, injectors, cobb etc. As you can see below we are now doing the serious stuff. GReddy turbo kit, HKS intercoolers, HKS tranny cooler, Willal sump, fuel pump (E85), 1000cc injectors, 4 inch exhaust. Should be done in a couple of weeks... Jim has built a custom 4 inch exhaust (3.5 inch dump pipes), single side exit. White 35 had it fitted yesterday - much quieter and no drone for normal driving, unreal on boost.

I went for a look two years ago, did hot laps etc. Last year I did the two day event. I was very nervous about driving the mountain, but did 86 laps over two days. The track is so well prepared, and the surface is the best I've driven. You really can run the car flat out with VDC off and not feel unsafe at all. Its a fast, grippy surface and everyone there was very respectful of the track and other drivers. They build you up to it over the first morning with ducks and drakes, then you slowly get faster and faster. Ironically Skyline was my favourite part of the track, flat out across the top, unreal views, drifting from inside corner to sand trap - awesome!!! Conrod is plain scary, as you rise over the crest at 260 on the way to 290-odd, suspension getting light.... in any case, I felt safer in the end on the mountain than I do at EC - turn one at EC is tougher than anything on the Mountain I have to say. Would be a great annual pilgramidge for the group of fastest R35s of them all... The last tip is that you cannot drive the track with VDC on. Too many steep drop offs and switchbacks, the computer shits itself and ruins the experience - but so long as you treat the mountain with respect, it will repay you in kind...and then some. Here here! for once in my life I agree with you! Its still in my top ten of life events...ever! There is only one downside to doing this event. That is you'll be bored crapless by your home track forevermore! This event has been a Porsche-fest for a while now - it would be great to see the R35's passing the VWs up the mountain. Would also be quite interesting to see how JPC, Mercury, and CRD-tuned cars compare...

Actually, I was one such person having a conversation with Mizuno-san about mods, and whom is supposedly crying in my beer, and I can confirm I spoke Japanese...maybe my Japanese isnt what it used to be! Anyway, my car is definitely better for the mods. The Greddy turbo kit is just days away now... ja mata

GT Ricer, can you share the solution? I still have the problem. Was it as simple as swapping the oil? If so, what oil did you swap in? Also, why are you selling?
