  1. I haven't contacted Nissan Australia if that is what you mean, from everything I have read their prices on these parts are almost double what you would pay to get it straight from japan. Also, from my one experience with the local nissan dealership, they don't want anything to do with imports, or importing from Japan. I haven't gone direct to Nissan Japan either, but I do know that other people have used japanparts for buying these exact parts before and I haven't seen anyone say they had problems
  2. Hey guys, got a quote from www.japanparts.com for the following parts from nissan: 96911-0V800 Body-Console 96920-0V800 Lid-Console Box 68430-0V800 Holder Assy-Cup 96935-0V800 Boot-Console 96965-AA001 Holder Assy-Cup Total price is $950.30, + $133 shipping. That is brand new from nissan. Those part numbers have been taken from one of the manual conversion threads on here, and from the reading I have done should be all thats needed for the console So if anyone has been wondering how much the console parts currently cost, there it is. Figured I would post this up because most of the conversion threads I found that had prices for this stuff were fairly old. Price breakdown:
  3. At a complete guess, with no evidence to back it up, wouldn't constantly be changing to and from neutral be causing more wear than leaving it in drive? I just leave it in drive, always have with auto cars, never really put much thought into it it though to be honest
  4. They come up for sale in japan every now and then, but I imagine postage would be a killer due to the length of them From memory there was a group buy on here a while back for them from an Australian company as well, but I don't know if anybody who was in on that has recieved anything yet, because they were being custom made
  5. Yeah, it's probably worth giving it a go, rather than spending up on a complete system first. It won't cost much to get an exhaust shop to do it, so not really a big deal if it doesn't deliver the result you want. My car is running 3" catback, with a single cannon at the end, and it's pretty loud.
  6. It's not too hard to find threads about it http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...+gtr+conversion http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...+gtr+conversion http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...+gtr+conversion
  7. Incredible build, I had some spare time so I read the whole thing, got to the end and was so disappointed he hadn't finished the writeup for it, lol
  8. I dont know the measurements, tbh. I would go out and measure them, but i dont have anything to measure with at the moment It doesn't really feel like it's a huge difference in size though.
  9. Put in an R34 GTR steering wheel. The car feels so much better to drive now Before: After:
  10. Mine does that as well, exactly the same thing as you described. It doesn't happen that often though.
  11. Stagea comments are amusing, i've had a few people do the whole 'Oh, it's a skyline wagon, I know all about them', and they proceed to rattle off a bunch of facts, all of which are wrong. There was also a group of Japanese tourists gathered around the car taking photo's of it once lol.
  12. Hey guys, need to get rid of these cause im not using them and they are taking up space. Slightly neg on prices, but stupid offers will be ignored
  13. Thanks fellas Yeah Mike, just needs a little bit more work and I'll be happy with it. Although I probably won't be able to go as low as I would like, due to the car being a daily - and I wouldn't be able to get it out of my driveway
  14. If I was in Sydney I would be going to some of these things. For people who are unaware, there is a section in the NSW part of the forum specifically for events. Dates and times of all the events are posted in there.
  15. These have actually been on the car for a couple of weeks now, but I haven't had time to take any photo's, and it's been raining most days for the last couple weeks here. Using my iphone again, cause i dont have a real camera 18x9 +18, 235/40 Toyo Proxes 4 Needs to be about an inch lower all round I think, and spaced out a little at the front. I also need to get a set of centre caps for the rims.
  16. Nice, i'm looking very closely at doing this as well. If you dont mind me asking, how much did it set you back, roughly?
  17. Call them back every day until you get a result, if they realise you wont give up on it they will often cave in. My family has had to do that before to get the local council to cut down trees that were overhanging and damaging our property. Rang the council every day for a week, and at the end of it they sent someone out, and the trees were cut down.
  18. Hey, have you got any pics of the marks/wear on the steering wheels?
  19. Maybe in, depending on the date
  20. Saw a silver S2 on the Princess Highway near Sutherland today, and a silver S1 on the Princes Highway at Arncliffe. Also a white M35 on President Avenue near miranda yesterday
  21. Unpackaged my new wheels and gave them a very quick clean. Hopefully will be getting tyres this weekend Volk Racing GT-7, 18x9 +18 Some crappy iphone pics:
  22. When I moved into my first place, i bought a bunch of stuff from Fantastic and Ikea, it's only been a couple of years but its all still going strong today. Fantastic often has some pretty good deals as well, i got a 3 seater + 2 recliners for $1000
