  1. Duncan Front rotor old price $1690 each now $1166, pads old price $1840 now $825, rear rotors old price $1440 each now $990 pads old price $1342 now $920.
  2. Hi Guys The genuine pads and rotors have come down in price now just over half as much, guess they got sick of them sitting on the shelf.
  3. 2009 spec "return springs" will reduce the rattle, they changed the design on the 2010 car and this is a very common complaint, the design change was to stop rear pad squeal (which wasn't an issue) but made the rattle issue worse.
  4. RCCC What happen to your pleasant reply !!!!
  5. Instead of bitching here why not speak to the dealer and see what they can do for you, I'm guessing it will be more than anyone here can !!
  6. AU spec R35's don't have this feature, 370Z does and not sure about 2010 spec R35.
  7. All qualified GTR techs have removed engines and gearbox as part of their training so I'm sure they'll manage , at the end of the day it's still a car held together with nuts and bolts.
  8. It's not the dealer who makes the call if it's warranty or not, that's up to Nissan.
  9. It's not the dealership that has the final say it's Nissan, the dealership doesn't warrant or build the car Nissan does, and I think you'll find that this issue is in the process of being resolved !!!!!
  10. Without being rude it's normally "pilot error", that cause the grabbing in reverse, and yes they all have that low speed 1-2 clunck-bang shift. To get around the reverse grab if you keep the throttle open (even just a little) you'll find it alot smoother, I think this is because once the throttle is open the clutch is engaged or engaging and as soon as it see a closed throttle it disengages the clutch then you put some throttle on and it starts all over again, I hope that makes sense.
  11. The only possible reason you'd want or even think about a R35 with a H pattern shift is if you've never driven a R35 !!!!
  12. I doubt very much anyone has run on the Dunlops as nearly all the cars here are premium spec which come with the Bridgestones.
  13. How noisey is it with the Mines kit ??? The HKS kit sounds great but is very noisey and would piss you when cruising (I know who wants to cruise).
  14. Duncan Front pads about $2000 and the rotors about $1700 each for gen brem, I mean nissan.
  15. Well got see and hear this beast last night, OMFG. The workmanship of the HKS kit is second to none but very noisey BUT what a sound !!!! Can't wait to see how it goes once the rest of the mods are finished.
  16. Duncan I tried to Pm you but for some reason it won't let me, it's not just dot 4, it has a lower viscosity (spell) for the VDC system, if you replace it you "might" have an issue with the VDC. Maybe someone who has actually used a race style dot 4 could give you an idea it would cause an issue.
  17. Your're probably right about the wheels, it would be esy to check, just mark the tyre and rim, give it a hard time and see if the mark moves. I was more just letting people know that the rims have the knurling and what it's there for.
  18. The factory rim have serations on the inside of the rim stop the tyre slipping on the rim, just something to think about when changing rims.
  19. The lower control arm has a camber pin, you will need to remove one of the lower covers to get the bolts, probably not something you want to do at the track, also there isn't that much adjustment, the "track spec" is about 1.6 neg and I doubt there is enough adjustment to get much more than 2 deg.
  20. Don't know about the engine but the gearbox is just over $43000 retail.
  21. Nope got nothing to do with Nissan but I do work at a dealership and I don't like the "dealership bashing" that goes on, these companies invest big money in equipment and training, if you made big $$$ investment wouldn't you want to get it back as quickly (fairly) as you could. Yes there are some dealerships that dont give good value for money BUT don't tar them all with the same brush. Early in this post someone had a problem with paying for time it may take to bed rotors and pads, WHY ??? if it takes an hour why shouldn't you pay an hour labour ???
  22. The dealers have spent upwards of $100000 to be a GTR dealer, do you really think that a car as capable and as hi tech as the GTR is gunna cost the same to service a Tida ???? How many that have posted on this topic actually have a car on order and know what's involded in maintaining it ??? Very few I would think, how about those that ACTUALLY have cars on order speak with the sales and service guys and see how much of this topic is BULLS%^T.
  23. Sydney dealers should start seeing their cars from Fri.
  24. Each car is roadtested by Nissan before they leave the factory and can have up to 150km on the clock.
