  2. WOOP THE DAY HAS ARRIVED! Rob from Fibrecrazy.com hand delivered my R34 gtt 4 door bodykit last night for me about 10pm. It's the first and mine of course will be the trial fit. Once it's fitted and painted they'll copy off mine so anyone who buys future kits get perfect bolt up fit and no filing or modifications. VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS!!! Sideskirts - Startcurved and square up towards the back (stretched gtr style) Front bar is bomex as many before have gone with so i'll show the usual pic Rear bar (custom one) - full wrap around with bomex inspired look to match in with the bomex front bar. I call it the STYLIN kit hahahahaha It's a little bit uras, a little bit bomex i guess. So what you think??? I'm stoked! Unlike the east bear the rear section is one whole bar and its not as plain as the uras, totally suiting my needs. Rekon Rob is going to sell quite a few of these puppies. FYI for those who are interested in what i found out there so far EAST BEAR KIT - $6-8K URAS KIT - $1300 au

  5. mate fibrecrazy.com I think the reason for the delay on mine may be that they are copying for a mould to make more. Not sure, but its about another 2 weeks away. Its obvious theres a market for 4 door kits in oz, so hopefully he'll track you one down.

  7. spotted white r34 gtt at 9 ways broadmeadow this morning, BEX - something... Girl owner by the looks of it. She knows her rides thats for sure...
  8. thanks mate. I had tried all the others with exception of just jap (from bottom up) and got impatient. Thankyou for answering my noob question mate
  9. Guys im interested in the basic FMIC conversion from the existing side mount type for my r34 Gtt. Im assuming there's a bolt on kit out there somewhere that will do the trick without requiring any major modifications to the car itself. The front bar is not an issue as it will be coming off in favour of a kit. Im keeping boost stock for some time so i dont need something crazy. Just a cooler well suited to daily driving that will fit nicely in the front without having to cut sick. (ie follow the existing pipe cutouts) I dont even know if im going to bother with a BOV as its an auto anyway. Ive checked the supplier area and had a bit of a search for what im trying to do but havnt had any luck, but i know it's got to be a commonly done thing. Can someone point me in the right direction for a thread DIY style, or a manufacturer / supplier that supplies the kit i want???
  10. Just had the same issue with my r34 gtt 4 door. It was misfiring hard anywhere from 3000 upward depending on load, but mostly at 4000 to 5000 rpm. Very violent misfire for sure! I was due for service in 2000 km's at (65,000km) so i did a service while i was at it. New K&N panel filter, edge oil & filter, new ngk iridium plugs and i taped the coil packs. Took the neo cover and its mount bracket off the front and also the coil pack cover, to get the heat away from them. I couldnt see any obvious cracks even on close inspection. However the plugs were fowled for sure and at a guess appear to be factory original items. Gave the coil packs a good clean up terminal wise too. pics plugs (note i got the iridiums already gapped at 0.75) coil packs before & after reset the ecu and now its running better than ever! instant throttle response, smoother gear shifts, better accelleration, and no stutters or misfires! WOOOP WOOP! cheap fixes are best when they work!
  11. Likewise mate! Thanks very much! For me its way to standard looking and i was very much wishing i had my kit but it did polish up nice n was lookin pretty glam...Hopefully next time we meet up it will be lookin even better! UPDATE the kit distributor fibrecrazy.com has had trouble with the supplier which has further delayed another week or two. No matter its definately on its way. He already has an SAU member keen to order and based on the interest so far, is looking to get a better connection with the supplier to get in a bunch at once. The kit will sell like hotcakes im sure. I mean who wouldnt jump on a full kit for a 4 door r34 for $1400 laughn!!! Take something slightly different to the average or enhance what you already have a little more i say. The bets bit is Fibrecrazy didnt need help in knowing what i wanted and had just the kit in mind although so far not sold to market. this is how it went with my ute too...I'll explain with some pics. The custom kit i had on my ute was: Front bar - the xt light conversion (ie stock headlights not xr6 type) on the BF GTP front bar. First time with that bar and in white it really showed a tuff look. The manufacturer went on to sell heaps of these and i now see many getting around. Dont get me wrong it was the suppliers idea to combine bf with xt conversion, i was just the first to say yes to it when others were scared it would look shit and followed the crowd. Side skirts - stock Pursuit ute skirts nothin over the top matched the lines better. Others werent getting skirts or rear bars, instead opting for the snow plow look. The skirts really took it down despite having not lowered it and brought the whole car together. Rear bar - the supplier bar had the centred plate (he was the only guy doing it) for a quad pipe exhaust setup. He kept the single reverse light on the right as normal and didnt do towbars. Only a few guys had fitted this bar as most prefferred to copy the fpv replica style, or used thsi with only pea shooter zorsts etc. At the time it wasnt really in having dual exhausts on any car other than v8's. I went boldly with quad 3 inch dump tips, had the extra reverse light added and insisted on the tow bar hole. It gave it practicality, but the highly symmetrical but tough look really complemented it. Since then all quad pipe rear bars come with optional second light. I know toot my own horn blah blah.. But its simple really, why follow the croud fitting the same thing your mate fitted when you can make your own statement??? after that people who follow only serve to compliment that you made the right choice...
  12. When did you sneak that you crafty lil bugger you!!!! hahahahaha He's an excellent photographer i fully agree. Hence one of a few reasons why i never hesitated to take him. He's a huge fan of the nissans and stageas in particular but his work speaks miles for him. He's the official photographer of our website www.newcastledna.com though its still early days so we havnt had much done. I hope to see some magazines take notice of his work and give him the step up he needs. He's been shooting top notch pics of newi rides for years. You may even notice my old ute if your lucky and patient in his photobucket. His first hi def shots from memory???? xmetal for photography president. lol
  13. the one i bought from unique performance claimed adr compliance. check my members rides thread mate.
  14. i personally have had mine sitting consitently on 160-180km/hr for an extended length of an unnamed road on multiple occasions that may or may not be a registered road / track and it held fine. My prior bonnet on my BA ford ute also had no problem with similar treatment. It was 5-6 years old and never missed a beat. IMO with experience to back it up it's all bullsh_t. If you bought a quality bonnet, with underbracing thats adr compliant you have nothing to worry about. In my case the bonnet hook is resined into the bonnet heavily however has little extra support in form of brackets so i'll keep an eye on it. If i get a hit that cracks the area the bonnet will be a throw away. Thats where i could see something like the last guys comments happening. A skin only, or prior damaged/cracked bonnet sure it could let go. BUT so could any other damaged part.
  15. Mate it hasnt arrived as yet. Needless to say im starting to get nervous. It's been 3 weeks since i paid for it almost....

  19. hahaha we were in a fair rush to get home but no doubt it would have crossed his mind! i totally agree, hearing the 2 gtr's take offs were absolutely horn material! i think i put my vote in for the black r34 gtr mate. It was just so flawless and showroom condition, which commands respect due to the amount hard work to keep it that way.
  20. no problems at all x! mate it was just great to have someone along for the ride and to introduce me a bit. Needless to say i was a lil nervous. Been a long time since ive been that excited to attend a cruise, and i must say despite the freezing cold temps at the mountain it was a top notch day! I especially enjoyed the drive up the mountain and back. Via galston gorge was awesome btw!!! HAHAHAHA Thanks to everyone that organised it and made it work! cheers pete
  21. yes mirror tint is illegal too btw
  22. why do you even need bonnet pins??? I dont and never had used em on my current or prior carbon bonnets. Is it for wank factor or are you expecting latch problems???
  23. yeah that'd be mine mate. The mrs has been enjoying it while im at work....lol
  24. yeah that was the same one i saw last wednesday night (15th) on the f3 from brooklyn to gosford exit. it was the first r34 i'd had the chance to see up close so i thoroughly enjoyed cruisn with him until his exit. friendly guy too by looks of it.... hopefully he's coming to the cruise?
  25. just a deck for now mate. I wanna stick family car style for a while, but i have my eye on the shelf in the boot for amps and the side areas for subs for sure. It just screams pimp my boot when you open it and see the cavities up back and on each side! For now as i say im stayin strictly simple. Its already got kenwood speakers all round as i understand it previously upgraded, so it should satisfy me for some time. yeah i thought so too. The make isnt bad, got a few issues like latch and a blend line i can see but given the agressive venting im not surprised its across that area. I had carbon fibre hood on my last ride but its was an early prototype of the boss bonnet by AWC so its quality was pretty average. They got it so dialled after a few as i later saw on other rides... I whole heartedly agree! different, classy and quite stylish i rekon.
