  1. Hey guys, got two of these and only need one so here goes. It is up on gumtree for $450. I will do it for $400 here, give me your best offers. Located in Sydney, would prefer not to post so pickup only.
  2. I wish i knew as well. It's either these or Nittos for me, and the Momos are priced very cheap at the moment because they are new. We might have to be the first to test because i really need 2 for the front! I will be going to get them next week somewhere off of the M5 before the tunnel.
  3. Can you post a pic of the EVC. Where are you located. Does the EVC come with everything needed to install? Thanks.
  4. Can you work out postage to Sydney 2768 please?
  5. Well i guess at the end of the day, if you hand your car over for much less than it is worth, it's more than likely going to be poorly looked after and not maintained. So do not settle for "poo" offers, just advertise more. GTRs need good homes!
  6. Very nice S15 mate, nice to see one as good looking as this, reminds me of how nice they can be when looked after. GLWS.
  7. Amazing car mate, love it. May i just ask how you found the ride of the BC's to be?
  8. You can get a 4L bottle of redline for $100-$115 these days, i don't classify this as expensive as you do not change the oil regularly at all... unless you want to.
  9. After maybe 500-700km with Redline Lightweight in the trans and Royal Purple in the diff, i can say that the car feels like new! I can't believe the difference this made, it is so well behaved on cold starts, gearbox never had a problem even with the old crap oil in there, but now it just wants to fall in place and does not argue or anything. I am having more fun driving the car, especially as i replaced the fuel filter, oil filter and changed the oil (Castrol Edge Titanium 5W40)at around the same time. I do not regret choosing the best, don't know if other oils would perform the same, but in my case with 150k on the odo, the car feels like new, no problems with the diff or gearbox.
  10. Two GTR seats for $1000? If only you were in Sydney.
  11. These came with my car in 225/45/17, i got a receipt from the previous owner dating back to Feb 2011, i purchased the car not long after that. Its now 2013 and they finally need to be changed, but damn they lasted long. I have had no problems with the tyres at all, i like the way they perform in the dry, took em up to terrigal using the twisties not the M1 and i was having fun. They aren't the stickiest tyres as people have mentioned, but for the price ($305 for two fitted) they were fun and reliable. Wet weather performance is another story though, i do not have the confidence to push these in the wet! I am going for nittos next though.
  12. Oh great, i will get that done asap. Thanks for your help John, hope it solves the problem.
  13. I just changed my gearbox and diff oils, Redline Lightweight Shockproof in the gearbox and Royal Purple Max Gear 75w90 at the back, i LOOVEE the results. I have only driven 10km but i felt the difference after 100m, i can't wait to get back in the car and try it out, it just feel so smooth now, so tight. I think i went overkill with the oils, but its just peace of mind for me.
  14. Good idea, i do not know how it all connects, i have got some offers for a relay box, will i be able to go there and plug it in to see if it works? Or is it more complicated than that to install? Thanks.
  15. Hi, i need the fuse relay box for the R33 abs unit please. Need price with postage to sydney thanks.
  16. What about the fuse relay box? Was your abs working? I need one of those thanks.
  17. Thanks John, I'll see if anyone here has one in the parts section and give it a go first.
  18. So I've had my ABS light on since i purchased my car (like 1.5 years now), i did not know if there was really anything wrong with the car because it was in absolutely great condition otherwise and the owner told me there was nothing wrong with the brakes themselves. I braked really hard one afternoon going pretty fast, no cars around at all, just misjudged a yellow light and did not think id pass safely. It was then realised that the light was actually telling the truth, as it's meant to, when all four wheels locked up on me. Luckily though it was a hot day, so i stopped sliding after 10-15 meters. I ended up with a flat-spot on my front right tyre which was very annoying, and soon after i took it to Unique Auto to get it checked up. I was told the Right Front Solenoid was stuck on open and the whole abs unit needed to be replaced (This was diagnosed with a scan tool). I guess i want to know if anyone else has been in the same position and i also wanted to know what they meant by the whole unit, like the whole assembly under the hood on the passenger side of the firewall? How much do they cost roughly used? I do not think this is the simple fuse job others have been using? I will be getting new tyres very soon and do not want another flat spot, or worse! Thanks, Jack.
  19. Thanks Terry, really should have taken before and after shots, i'll take a pic today (2 days after the detail) and see how white it has stayed.
  20. I tackled this yesturday, i havn't taken before and after pictures because i really didn't know it'd go so well, but my results were brilliant =). I'll just number my steps below: 1. Washed car day before. 2. Quick wipe with microfibre cloth and Meguiars quick detailer to remove loose dirt/soot. 3. Clayed the boot lid and rear bar with Mother California clay bar kit (love it). Breaking away from the steps, there's something i need to point out. Looking right at the paint, on the boot lid there are many small black spots kinda stuck to the paint, only a clay bar can take it off. My 33 is white so i can see them easily. On the bumper the story is a little different, especially just above the exhaust exit, there seems to be a dark yellow stain covering 45% or so of the bumper. The clay bar takes this off, but very slowly, step 4 REALLY helped here. 4. I applied a bit of Meguiars Paint Cleaner with a foam applicator pad, then polished it with a $60 polisher wearing a woolen pad. I also went over it by hand with a microfibre towel, and the result was exactly what i was hoping for, complete whitenesss! I guess this product can be substituted with the turtle wax bug and tar remover, but i have not tried it for this application. 5. Meguairs Ultimate compound, buff, wipe off. 6. Meguairs nex gen tech wax 2.0.... apply, wait, buff off... mmmmmm sily smooth whitenessssss. I really love the results, and it did not take too long either, maybe 25mints, and soooo worth it. Now i just need to see how long it lasts and also how easy it will be to remove the next buildup with the wax protecting the surface. Just to let you guys know, when cleaning headlights its never worth using single products i.e. bug and tar remover, brasso bla bla bla... it might clean it, but after a few weeks yellow fever will hit you back hard, and that is because you have not sealed it back. Get yourself the turtle wax headlight restorer kit and spend 30 mints on it, you'll be much happier in the long run!
  21. White smoke... no good... I'd get that checked up. The black stuff should be concentrated around your bumper and boot, might just be because shes running a bit rich. After a wash it takes a few days for that stuff to build up again behind my car, if you leave it on for a long while you'll need to use a clay bar to get it off, otherwise a wash or a wipe with a detailer spray should suffice.
