  1. He has much bigger problems than the suspension set up, trust me! That picture above is from EC three weeks ago. Very sad!
  2. In case anybody is interested in this mod, I just sourced Titanium Brake Shims for the GT-R. They come in a variety of thicknesses: I got 1mm Front and Rear. They come from Hard Brakes and are supposed to keep your brake fluid and callipers cooler on the track than without Ti Shims. Apparently Titanium is a very poor thermal conductor, acting like a heat shield. Contact Hard Brakes: [email protected] Part No. Front:TS-T-D1382 (same as C63 AMG) Part No. Rear:TS-T-D0810 (same as Aston Martin, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jaguar) They seem to be well made of 1mm titanium, laser cut to fit our pads. I have not installed them yet but foresee no issues. Obviously with brand new pads and rotors there may not be enough space for 2x1mm shims, but after a few laps there will be...!
  3. You know it's "gay" to write Caymen instead of Cayman, don't you?
  4. My feelings expressed. Thank you. Now go and have a lie down.
  5. Lift the bonnet an take a look, the screws are clearly visible from below.
  6. [quote ....who needs the warranty anyway if you're going to be hammering it at the track anyway. Are you kidding? That is why you need the warranty, not when you are posing at the golf club!
  7. No takers, will take sensible offers before it goes to ebay
  8. Be careful when choosing the CF, "Twill" or "Black", both are the same colour but different fibre orientation.
  9. Thanks, but it will be hard to sell individual pieces if I part out the kit. How is one odd CF piece going to look or do you already have other parts of your car covered?
  10. I have a spare brand new RSW Black CF interior trim set for sale. Perfect quality and fit from a reputable Japanese CF manufacturer RSW. The whole set consists of two window switch covers, mirror switch cover, SatNav surround and control panel cover. It cost me $966.17 for the lot. $900 pick up Sydney or $900 plus post anywhere. http://www.rsw.ne.jp/gt-r-c-interior.html
  11. Jan 2011 production, in our showrooms March 2011 (as confirmed by the dealer. Embargo on the "new" GT-R news will be officially lifted on Monday 18 October- two more sleeps...
  12. Take a look at the range of mid-pipes they carry. If he recommended one particularly obscure brand to an unsuspecting Aussie, rest assured nobody else wants it in the US
  13. Never mind Stillen, this post is Stillborn....try NAGTROC for answers
  14. The irony was totally lost on you.... He was referring to it being Nurburgring not Nuremberg as in don't put people who mod their cars on trial like the Allies did the Nazis at Nuremberg after the war.
  15. Now, that's a bold statement to make '09GTR! Actually I have, by two very reputable tuning houses (legends in their own mind, masters of their own retoric): two cars blew up and it took the vehicles' manufacturers, with a bit of good old legal encouragement, to come to the party, not the highly skilled tuners, to replace an engine in one and a transmission in the other. That is why I am so reluctant to tune this rather pricy car outside the warranty...oh, and the fact that, like 90% of enthusiastic modders on this forum, I haven't yet learned to drive the stock GT-R it like Suzuki-san How is your new car going? Have you started modding it yet?
  16. I agree that one should learn to drive the car first to 9.5/10 before spending money on mods, which will, sooner all later, blow up the car anyway, then watch the salesmen run for cover :-) As far as being on trial here, it is Nuremberg not Nurenburg...
  17. Another Ruski tax cheat pretending to be driving an old car...
  18. Col Crawford Brookvale does it for $100.
  19. You obviously don't follow your own advice as shown in your signature!
  20. Ha, ha, when opportunity knocks, be there to answer the door! Three days to read your emails in the age of iPhone and BlackBerry is no excuse 09GTR. I would starve to death it I didn't read my emails 24/7, even in the shower... Sorry you missed out but I had a small window of opportunity to return the jacket and you did not call me back till after the fact.
  21. Selling it outright is my fallback position. I would still like to swap it if possible. If nobody wants to swap, it's yours. We'll just catch up for coffee somewhere and you can hand me a brown envelope under the table...
  22. I just received my black GT-R jacket, as used by the instructors at the recent Phillip Island GT-R Drive Day. It is XL and too small for me. I normally wear Size 46 /XL. Does anybody have an XXL which is too big for them? We could swap perhaps? Otherwise, its for sale at original price of $210 local pick up - I am in Sydney. This is a black all weather jacket with detachable fleece lining, with white NISSAN embroidered on the right sleeve and GT-R on left breast.
  23. Why keep experimenting and spending the money over and over? Just take it to Col Crawford Nissan Performance Centre at Brookvale. They are a GT-R dealer, properly trained and equipped to fix your car and align it to factory street or race specs on a fantastic fully interactive alignment machine (the only other one like it I saw doing my other car at Marshalls Mercedes in Parramatta, but there may be others out there) Ask Matt or Steve for advice and they will check your total suspension for any faults. Before you throw out the factory set up check first what's wrong with it. BTW, you should be able to go through Turn 1 at EC at 180kph in a stock car, with stock Bridgestones, set on 3 x R with street spec camber, lap after lap, without going sideways and getting a heart attack !
