  1. This makes me nervous about getting my 25/30 tuned tmrw =[ hope you sort your problem out mate, does it drive/sound normal?
  2. The 4 inch cooler was a necessary upgrade as at the time, as my existing 3 inch china ebay cooler had pressure drop issues. 3076R was purchased as a good all rounder, I can;t justify a 35R as a daily driver turbo on a rb25 Ive had everything just in case I want to upgrade turbo in the future. what do you guys reckon about the garret .70 A/R front housing(with drilled anti surge slots) instead of the hks style .60A/R front housing?
  3. Exhaust s fine. 3.5inch turbo back with 100 cell cat. 1 bar at around that RPM is what I am getting, 4th gear on highways only though. I am picking as I have the 25 tune the timing/fuel delivery is way out. giving me the unnecessary lag. Driving around town the 30 is THAT much better to drive. You would't think the difference that 500cc+ extra crank weight could be so noticable. Even with the 8.3:1 comp ( I am running new cast standard pistons) Btw it probable doesn;t help my delivery that I have a 6boost, + plazmaman, + 3 inch intercoolerpiping + 4 inch thick intercooler
  4. Hey guys I have got a nismo 1.5way mechanical lsd diff out of my r33 skyline. The diff is near new and has done bugger all kms. perfect condition, puts the power down quite nice. I am after $1000 for it. It is in the car and can be driven before purchase 0419 743 272
  5. yer man. my narrowband hits the lean as soon as she comes on boost. i was picking that as she was starving for fuel/ no timing put into her created the extra lag, tune time next week, should woop it into gear
  6. how does it drive? out of curiosity. Ive just got my 25/30 up and running . un tuned still running rb25 tune. I hear that they hit full boost 2.6-2.8k with a 3076R. I am currently nowhere near that lol., I am presuming its because it is still yet to be tuned ?
  7. Ive gone from having the pod in the corner to having it smack bang on the turbo. Maybe because its winter(/end) but I haven't really noticed any difference bar the throttle response. didn't change my mph down the 1/4 and sounds/looks alot better. having said that, I will probably do back to back on the dyno and post them up
  8. Ah. just thought I would throw some pics up. Only just running in , done 500kms so far so gud! done what I believe is the absolute MINIMUM for a reliable build. + I threw in some old engine building skills cause I have got alot of spare time. Brand new 25 oil pump crank collar Blueprinted complete bottom end. Removed all casting flashes in block, crank, rods, Polished, streamlined crank and rods Balanced complete rotating assembly New cast pistons (standard pistons so 8.3:1 comp) oil restrictors 1.5MM(both) opened up oil returns got a good set of rings on my 3rd box , NPC rings were too tight, Hastings rings were all consistently 10 though too large, found the happy medium with acl rings. Nissan bearings mls head gasket arp head stud kit + rod bolts std cams + mild port job to head. Remove casting flashes, imperfections, port matched to both inlet and exhaust manifold. CC combustion chambers Internal vct mod Helicoiled every single thread on the exhaust side. 6boost, , plazmaman, 3076R.82Rear ext gate and 3.5inch turbo back. only at run in stages, big difference in torque between this and the standard 25 that I had in place. can't wait to get it tuned!!!!
  9. Hello guys Im just doing a clean up of all my rb stuff. Ive got two rb25det bottom ends that I am wrecking aswell as two rb30's. I have one Perfect 90,000kms rb30 head Have a few good condition rb25 cranks, rb30 cranks, etc . One rb25 bottom end needs a rebore to next piston size. The other is fine. though the clutch exploded, doing damage to the mounting points for the gearbox brackets. Otherwise both have perfect condition cranks. after $100 bux for each bottom end, and offers on the rest. Have all accessories for all motors. Pm me if you have any questions 0419743272
  10. quick question for you guys. what brackets are these? Ive recently mounted my 30det into my r33, and unfortunately my plazmaman is too high at the front. haven't had a really good look but a 12-15mm drop seems to be required. I am yet to compare the engine brackets between 20/25/30, any handy differences between the three (running std r33 alloy brackets) my two choices left are make subframe spacers or re-drill the alloy brackets
  11. Hey guys, Have got a OS giken Twin plate + lightweight flywheel to fit an r33 gtst. Recently been balanced and rebuilt. done less than 1000kms on clutch Rated to handle 1000hp. Selling due to upgrading Located in Brisbane QLD, after $1500 0419 743 272
  12. Ive got a complete bottom end, head off crank out rids still in. Not too sure if it suits your needs
  13. very interested to see the results of the pull down. out of curiousity who tuned it (feel free to pm )
  14. I have seen one first hand in brisbane, Klo silver! awesome guy didn't want to part with it =[
  15. Frekin quick 31's, gud to see you guys out there mixing it up! got my 12.8 @ 119mph mph on secondhand tires ha. gud times
  16. holy shit haha
  17. that bloody sriver killer xd
  18. except maybe a 3076:P make it a sticky!
  19. Its $100 dollar pistons vs $1000 dollar pistons, the boost in compression would definitely be better though i think it will run just fine
  20. Ive pmed that many people with no luck in response or information in regards to 3076r on a rb30det. Nothing firm in the concrete that power/torque tapers off with the .82 housing. willing to try a 1.06 housing, this should come on with a smooth linear power band. all this with the 8.3:1 compression that the stock rb30E pistons give me the gains to be had by going 35R .82 rear seem to be good, a easy 350rwkw with same response as a 3076r .82 on a rb25det a hell of alot easier sticking with the turbo that I have got tho, plus I enjoy the anti surge ported front housing
  21. Hey guys, I've done a good solid search on the forums and I am trying to find out the differences, if any between factory oem rb20 oil pump and rb25 oem oil pump Originally was intending to use a genuine nissan oem rb30et oil pump but instead I was sent an rb20 oil pump. There isn't a problem using the rb25 oil pump with the rb25/30 tho I haven't found anything direct about the rb20 oil pump. The oil pump that I recieved is 15010-79S06 The rb25 oil pump is 15010-5L800 If found that the there isn't much difference should there be a problem with using 1.5mm restrictors front and rear? Any input would be much appreciated
