  1. well the inter state thing is all good and fine...if you know someone whose house you can rego it at........and what about your liscence then when they check? and your car is registered hundreds of km's away from where you live? sry this doesnt work anymore. it may have a long time ago. and yes there is a short amount of time your aloud to keep your interstate rego so you can sort your shite out and get it transfered over.
  2. very true. but compared to what i know as old cars. even an R32 is quite refined
  3. yeah actually....got bitten by the "BUG" when i drove mine home to hide under the roof again the other day. and i found this link! R1 BUG only if someone give me enough money for it tho, it is a hard decision to make as i am loving the liner......and im only just getting into happy laps etc. but then the money would make for a pretty wild Beetle and kombi. poor things are just sitting there neglected and for too many years. i cant have 4 registered cars, and the skyline is the newest edition to the family......and i hate to say it, but the only one i would consider selling. The Kombi was bought brand new in Germany by my old man converted to RHD in the factory. and then shipped over here....so its got to much sentimental value. and the Beetle is the first car i bought and built from the ground up...and a '59 model. so its not going anywhere.
  4. very true Pete. motorbikes have always been like that for the same reasons. lol.....if it isnt Tomic pushing the rules...its holden........ (or maybe tomic is buying an SV6) "Please Ms Gillard, change the rule so we can sell another car, we're desperate"
  5. have you hit up the import wreckers? there are quite a few around, they should have something...i think.
  6. that is true. and the only place i ever got in trouble in the bug was playing silly buggers up the main police patrolled drag up here on a thursday night.....so it was bound to happen and i was young and stupid by old car i mean pre '80's btw. most interpretations of old car is a early to mid '90's como
  7. LOL!!! this is whats wrong with the world.......money=tosser just cause hes rich he cant wait 3 years?? he could have bought almost any nice 3 series Beemer for now.....then upgraded. if a 19 yr old can buy an M3, then im sure he can still afford it later. as for the whole P plate thing in Aust...those few bad lemons that died / crashed nice cars while young have sorted that out. these laws didn't exist when i got my license...........just all you younger suckers that have to suffer.... but i dont disagree with them, cars are getting faster. and the fast cars are easier to get. twill eventually end in tears and someone blaming the government.....or rich twats dont worry NZ...im sure it will all come to you soon once a few more Tomics and teens wrap themselves around trees so they can blame the car.
  8. yup thats the main problem. and i guess the beauty of old cars is that most cops dont know what theyre looking for or at...so they just let it go.
  9. agreed...not taht i have that issue with meets....just everywhere i drive for no reason at all...i swear my car has a Police GPS tracker in it..... whereas...i drove my old Beetle home the other day. i forgot how overly loud that thing is (104db at idle)......and yet it go no attention from the cops. and twas my daily driver for about 7 yrs.
  10. i'd only seen the silly/ crazy Juke R thingy that nissan built until now....omg why does it have 2 sets of headlights?? hideous * i know...not a very constructive post. but it keeps the thread alive?
  11. oh noees!! what happened? on another note....ive actually got someone coming to look at my car in the next few weeks......see if it sells
  12. they look like normal ones, with a carbon extension underneath??
  13. if its just for the record and braggin rights sure. but with any hard use ( i assume drags and/or curcuit racing) it will not last long. no matter how robust the engine is. but i'm sure it doesnt bother them, when it does go kaboom. it can always be rebuilt and made faster again
  14. couldnt agree more. sweet video. i bought the 33 purely for the sake that i think it looks better than a 34 imo (talking gtst/gtt) 34 is just too square on the back. esp without a wing.
  15. some interest showing. which is surprising...Man there are alot of 33 S2 for sale in here. yet i dont see many on the road . not interested in swaps (unless you wana give me a GTR ) as the money will be directed into other projects.

  18. if only it were true.......after seeing my white car, and Mumslayers black 32.....the white is harder to keep clean. that help? and Bah, your silver is good!
