Goddamn you are good with a camera. This is about the best shot I've ever seen of Purple. Brilliant timing.

You're kidding. I thought the yahoo bar was a hole, no a grimy cesspool, and didn't help the bouncer was a powertripping c0ck with Gareth who just needed a little more riverdance time to sober up. It all came down to Gareth looking down into his wallet for ID with the hat on while the flog kept telling him to look up at him, then griping because Gareth couldn't find his ID so he said "you're out"! Whatever lights your candles I suppose but I prefer to see and hear the people I talk to. The girls just flat refused to stay when they walked in. Surely there are better places to drink in town.

Finally found time to reply after the excitement of DECA. Great to see a revival in the thread too. Mark, those links are great. Love the wheels and they will be ordered soon. I usually go to Bill as he sponsors our model club here in Melbourne, and he's heaps cheaper than most retail outlets. Clearly no-one competes with wholly online stores for price. Arch, my guess is Sean is using K&H stop putty from Autobarn. Looks just like what I use. Should be impressive too when it's done.

Excellent work Jay. If it's similar I should be in next year. 127 laps completed (159 by winner Wayne Park) and the fastest for you guys was on lap 124. Very strong!! Almost there with the rexies as well which would have been a little bait to push. Congratulations to the team. This should link into the broken engines thread as an indicator to the strength of a sensibly cared for engine. See you on the track Duncan

I believe 51jay has entered. Still waiting on results.

My thanks also to the team for another fabulous event, which I am sure will be my last as I complete preparations to move to Brisbane. I only dream of emulating the success and fun of DECA in the Sunshine state for the club there if the opportunity presents. I was fortunate enough to have Spence and our ladies along to make a full weekend of it, finishing with 600 odd bucks blown at my favourite winery on the way home. Some memorable moment for me were the smoke following poor Sharnis car into the park, Snowies beast making another massive leap in perfomance, Ryan and Jarrod showing even more improvement in the driving department and my clutch starting to show signs of mortality. Photos later, what a great weekend. PS James. Golgo now has the go to go along with the sensational looks Team Purple rules!!

Nice job Gareth. Looking after it this time? Be nice to see you back on the track, now for a new engine for me.

Dropped in to see Bill at Hobby HQ in Reservior yesterday and came away with $38 for the GTR33 and $65 for the Z-tune with the photo etched parts kit.

Just for when you really need more airflow. Less than 300rwkw the standard size panel seems fine.

DO A SEARCH, LEARN TO PUNCTUATE AND LEARN TO TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK. See it's easy isn't it??? Search button is top right corner.

Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift
GTRgeoff replied to Sydneykid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
And I'm having trouble downloading so I hosted it on my website as well -
Many GTRs use the twin pod for big single setup as well.

Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift
GTRgeoff replied to Sydneykid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
To clarify the table I've reformatted in Excel and produced as PDF with appropriate credits to SK. RB_oil_gallery_mods.pdf or download here oil mods -
Wrong!! In a number of ways. Twin pods are popular but on my RB25DETT in the track car I ran single AFM and single pod, however the stock GTR setup is single airbox and is good enough for my 260rwkw/0-100 in 4.02s. Funnily enough the GTSt's share the same filter panel as GTRs. So the filter is not the problem. GTSt's can be a bit strangled in the induction piping so some lateral thought to help it breaths means a. legal and only 1 induction mod allowed means a FMIC can be run, b. less likely to be considered a wanker because of the rediculous noises you attempt to generate, and c. almost free.

Wouldn't the fact you have each blown a stock turbo not make you consider what a time bomb these are? If a turbine blows chances are you will need an engine rebuild as well. Is it worth it?

Great sanger, so we get more WRC, more moto-gits and more boring F1. If that's the case I'll find something else to do with my Sunday that won't involve Ten, unless Sandra and Natarsha do some bikini shows . Ask them why not cover some state stuff and the national non super-taxi rounds. The answer will be "they need to pay" of course but with no exposure there is no money to pay. By concentrating on only the headline crap that very few can afford to get involved in there is less money for sponsoring feeder classes, or even grass roots. If Ten wants to screw Seven right back, they have to keep market share for that timeslot with something more realistic/interesting to make a big production V8SC uneconomical. Seven are just making up for Super Tourers. Don't get bitter, get even.

I think that would be the nut on the bottom of the glass loose. Needs the door trim off. 3 R33's and all 3 needed a gentle nip up.

Much the same as doing up an R31 Pintara (Sorry Ash, had to be said. Buy you a beer friday) I think if you can get it cheap enough and really intend to do serious work on the performance then it's the perfect opportunity. Rebuild the engine to do what you want, do the turbos as Ash said, replace all of the suspension and bushes, do the brakes and give a few areas a freshen up. So far that works to around $15K or less doing it yourself, a perfect opportunity to learn if you have a mate with a clue willing to help for beer. The value of learning is worth IMO. Done yourself the engine rebuild comes to less than 3K plus turbos unless you want more than 400rwkw reliably. Decent rods are then 1.2K and cams another 1K. Or you could pay the 27-38K that some BS artists are trying to get for their busted a*se old 32's and still have to worry about the time bomb turbos, crapped out or useless Jap suspension and oil pump drive/backing plate problems.

It would seem the ladies can make enough weekend available in their busy schedules to allow us two nights away, so someone start chilling me a goldfish bowl. Depending on the beds layout (we have to check or get some idea first) I may have a spare or a couch but Fri night is taken by Shan at this stage. Spence may even bring his inflatable double mattress to sleep on so could be more beds. Does anyone know the layout of the cabins with a double and 3 singles "in the hallway"?

There is some stuff on SBS and Ch31 in Melbourne but it's time they stopped treating all other motorsport like a filler piece done in BS arty methods. It's motorsport FFS, not another outlet for their creativity eg. the wanker that does the dutton coverages. What a c0ckhead. Also if the cars are in the other group from him they get no coverage. Be nice if 10 could get the other stuff off the ground. Pity Barry's not around anymore, he and Dick would do a geat job hosting it.

Agree with Drunken, but maybe now 10 will give us some motorsport and not just Supertaxis, wankers on bikes and F1. Time for some grass roots coverage 10 you pack of sycophants.

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program. The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign round her neck. She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads: If you can catch me, you can have me. Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later, huffing and puffing, he finally catches her and has his way with her. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lb. as promised. He then calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound program. The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads: If you catch me you can have me. Well, he's out the door after her like a shot! This girl is in excellent shape and it takes him a while to catch her; but when he does, it's definitely worth every muscle cramp and wheeze, so for the next four days, the same routine happens. Much to his delight, on the fifth day he weighs himself only to discover that he has lost another 20 lb. as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program. "Are you sure?" asks the representative on the phone "This is our most rigorous program." "Absolutely," he replies, "I haven't felt this good n years." The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it he finds this huge, muscular, 7ft man standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that read: I'm Francis. If I catch you, you're mine...

It's from the dirt collected in the felt brushes. You need to drop the window a little and run plenty of water through them to stop it. I haven't yet been able to bring the marks out. It also happened a little in the insides as well slightly marking my tint but no biggie. Wash them every time you do the car.
