Hey ppls, My hunt for a replacement for the standard 'sucky closed under boost" inlet pipe has never really ended, even after I gave up on the super difficult steel version I spent a lot of time on. I've seen some which cost people $450+, I've seen others that require modifications to the standard BOV return and PCV vent hardware or pipes. Adjustable Exhaust Cam Gear For Rb25det
Bass Junky replied to vidospace's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey guys, I've done this on my car, and there is very little difference really. R34 GTT I spent a lot of money on a dyno to have this properly installed and tuned. They actually changed the gear ON the dyno so as not to upset the straps and get 100% accurate results. As you can see by the graph below, the difference was marginal if not non-existent. As for after market Cams, my Poncams are actually designed to run the best at 0 degrees. Tomei make them to be best at 0 so that you can just bolt them in. I still have the adjustable cam gear on my car, but it's set at 0. BASS OUT -

Just delivered one to HKS-R33 Then went and got Sushi! All Melbourne people, just give me a bell and we can hook up to drop off. I'm around all this weekend, we will just have to co-ordinate. Interstate people..... Bloody boxes aren't going to be ready for 8-10 working days. They must be under the pump. But in the mean time I will be wrapping all the guides (which takes freaking ages) and getting them ready to go. Normally my boxing company can deliver in 2-3 days but alas, not this time. Cheers Pete -
Hi Lee Tom (and other satisfied customers) The air that the standard plastic snorkel gets comes from the front grill anyway, so the air that it normally gets will have already bounced off the radiator and up in the snorkel. With the air guide in place, the scoop presents the snorkel with fresh air un-touched by the radiator. The air hitting the radiator is then forced through the radiator as opposed to going around it or over the top into the engine bay (or standard snorkel) I hope that helps, and yes, I've got 4 spare Series II is $120 including the snorkel in Satin Black finish. $25 freight. PS. I found that if you make up a bracket to hold all three gauges BEHIND the plastic cover that you should be able to keep them inside the cover, and hence still very stelth.

Man, Ive been looking for something like this for ages. I've pulled mine apart and 60mm gauges will fit spot on. Just gotta find teh $800 fro the Defis that I want

Stripping the Hicas on the R34 wont drop that much. The hydraulic Hicas on earlier models maybe, but R34 is a compact electrical unit.

Hey guys, I'm all out of Series II Air Deflectors but I have 3 or four Series I Air Deflectors extra in the current group buy. If anyone is keen on one, let me know. CHEERS BASS OUT

Hey ppls. I have boxed up Beastien and Genkins guides and they will be sent shortly. Other people..... Over the next week or so I will be boxing up the guides and sending out bit by bit. The post office don't like people rocking up with 20 big boxes well, the people behind you in line HATE you. Anywho, Melbourne people, let me know when you want to pick up.... Can you say Mini Meet? Cheers Pete -

What about the seals on the outside of the doors? The black plastic/rubber sections that push against the window from the outside. I think you would call them the outer door sill seals. -

Stolen S15. Yep there are two left. Check payment details earlier in the thread. Everyone else, the parts are at the powder coaters, I'm expecting them back tomorrow or Thursday. Waiting on boxes, but they shouldn't take long. I've got a trade show all next week in Melbourne, so I wont be able to box them up until after that. Sorry for the bad timing, but I couldn't really help it. Anywho, all is well and they have come up just as good as the last group buy. Cheers Pete -
Only turned cheater because my car if brokey brokey. Had I had my car, I'd be way way up that leader board. Maybe.

Yep, Try a new tuner. I had a niggling pinging problem with my car after I fitted the cams. Road tuned the knock as much as we could, but still not perfect. Took the car to Racepace (along with a new turbo, injectors etc) and the thing is perfect. NEVER knocks. Adzmax had a similar problem. Just a tune and exhaust. Had a tune from a reasonable shop but was never happy with it. Took it to the right tuner and picked up enormous amounts of power through the midrange. Some tuners know what they are doing more than others. Try a new tuner. Pay as much as you have to to take your car to the best tuner. You will walk out as happy as larry.

Hey ppls. Awesome weekend, but we expect nothing less of Shepparton and the mighty DECA weekends! Thanks to the organisers for everything they do to make these events happen. Thanks to Mav for ferrying me to and from Shepp, even if I did have to drive his car home. BIG thanks to Snowball for loaning me the little red wagon. She took a pounding and never complained... much. The tyres on the other hand are ready for bed. I followed his rules and never went faster than him on the long wang.... but only by 0.3 seconds, and I had fuel starvation on the basketball court. I did beat him on the mini want though... But not in the EVO. Damn it's fast. MissJuz for letting me drive Lil'Blu. She's a super easy car to slide, especially shifting between 1st and second on the slide. Soo easy, so smooth. Leewang for letting me drive the Uber-Lag. Managed to launch reasonably well in it and then get the thing right up on gate in 2nd gear. 2nd outright on that motorkhana I think. Mav for letting me give the Banana a skinning. That clutch took me 6 attempts to get moving in the carpark. Evil combination of locked diff and mad clutch. Adzmax for letting me show him how to drive his car but my bad navigation on that particular event led to a DNF. Bugger. All it needs is a diff and some sway bars and it's a serious bit of gear. Ray for letting me drive the Uber-S15. She's a very very nice ride. Bloody hard to get into and out of though. Chrisman for co-piloting the drivers lounge with me. Surprisingly nimble for a tank. Most comfortable car I drove all day, and the one with the MOST turns to lock of any car I've even driven in my entire life! Scotsman for letting me have a go in the GTR at the end of the day. I wish my car was that sorted. Brisby for playing the worse practical joke ever on Scotsman with his catch can oil under the GTR. Sooo mean, ultra funny. Ray for being a sport and getting chilli-ed by me. Ray for then being a gun rookie and chilli-ing Mav on his first night at Taco Bills. Ray shows much promise! Sunshine for once again being broken by SAUVic. Stay off the Tequila man! Taco Baz and Staff of Taco Baz for being the team of crazy Mexican food suppliers that they are. I don't know of another restaurant in the world who would book out their entire restaurant frontage for a bunch of loud mouth yobs from Melbourne and Sydney. We always have so much fun at Taco Baz. It's makes the weekend. All in all, another great weekend. I can't wait to see the video of my driving LilBlu with Juzz throwing paper everywhere, and the Uber-Lag on full noise in second gear.
