Fine, lock the thread. But you deleted a post by myself which was not referring to anything other than the future merits of the chinese made parts we were referring to. And next time you feel the urge to play god and just delete what people have been talking about, first, make a post saying that you will be deleting the 'offensive to the topic' posts to give people a chance to move them and the discussion to another debate. How would you like it if people deleted 20 of your posts? Not much I would think. Try being a polite and considerate human being next time.

Maccattack. Your wastegate is opening at idle? Are you serious? Surely not.

How much does that have to do with rain? None. How much does that hae to do with seats in a lunch room? None. How much does that have to do with kickbacks to the union? None. How much does it have to do with Laws about safety? Lots.

How many deaths in Australia last year and the last five years?

And another thing. You look at Chinese imports. The quality is fine, I've been there. I know. The reason that they are so cheap, is not because they don't pay their workers much, it's becuase the cost of living is so low. Over there, they get paid plently to maintain their standards of comfortable living. It just so happens that they also house and feed their staff in apartment blocks on site during the week, and on the weekends they go home to their families. Same with India. Wages aren't low because people are living in slums, it's becuase the cost of living is low. What does that have to do with unions in Australia? A little bit of simple economics...... Inflation. People always pushing for higher wages and less work creates more money to buy things. More money to buy things = higher prices = inflation. Inflation makes the unions push for more wages. More wages = more money to buy things at inflated prices. On it goes until the Government raises interest rates to combat inflation, and the country slows down again. Therefore, cost of living is Austalia is high. Pretty soon, nothing wll get build here because it's too expensive. Look at Qantas maintenance. They obviously get paid too much. Qantas can't make returns to its shareholders so it's looking at outsourcing it's maintenence to China. Union doesn't like it, but the union probably caused it. They can raise wages all they like until a company goes under. It's farked.

I farkin hate the Unions. They have ruined construction and manufacturing in this country since bloody Bob Hawke (an ex union boss) came into power. Wanna hear a bullsh1t union thing...... Guy with a 5 year old truck. One airbag for the driver. Gets to a site with a 10kph speed limit. Unions wont let him on site because it doesn't have two airbags. How the pigsfark does that have anything to do with anything on a site where they will kick you off if you are doing more than 10kph anyway? So in order to complete his contract, he had to go out and buy a new truck with dual airbags. HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A SECOND PERSON RIDING IN THE TRUCK. It's bloody ridiculous. The only thing unions are good for is ruining things, getting money from their members and bullying companies. You look at the amount of young builders and contractors who aren't union members. It used to be that 75% of construction workers had their tickets. Now it's more like 30%. The time of the all powerful union is at its end. BRING ON WORKPLACE REFORM BASS OUT

I've found my Ventus K104s to be great tyres. They last ages and they really do grip quite well. My fronts have seen me through 26 laps at Winton on full noise, four DECA days, and about 15000klms and they are still in top condition. The rears however, are a different story, but I have smoked them up heaps at Calder, DECA and the like. I'm about to buy another set. BASS OUT

Here Here. It doesn't take much ot have a bingle and be paying it off for the next two years. It also doesn't take much to die onthe roads. Then only at fault accident I've had was in the wet where (in a VN Commodore, back when I was 19) I locked up and slid into the back of someone. Every other accident I've been involved in, has been someone else running into me, half of them in the wet. It's not just yourself you have to worry about on the roads, it's everyone else. It really heartens me when I see an import or highly modified car driving slower and more sensibly than all the other company cars on the road. It shows that we only enjoy our cars at the right time. Stay safe. BASS OUT

Power Fc Boost Control, Plus Valve...
Bass Junky replied to Bass Junky's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I think the PFC kit is in series now, but it doesn't hold the gate shut, just bleeds off air when required, so up to wastegate pressure, you get normal response. After that you can enter a gain amount, which alters boost ramp, and it you set it too aggressively, you get spike. PFC kit also has it's own learning curve thing. I reckon I could set the uty really high so it bleeds off heaps on the ramp up, but just not give it the air that it thinks it's getting until the valve cracks open. Duty high, boost stablizes very quickly. maybe -
R34 Gtt Rotor Sizes
Bass Junky replied to Bass Junky's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The bit I cut out is from that catalogue lilnk you sent. I thought they were 310 as well, but I'm just checking. have a look, they are both listed as RB25DET engines..... -
Hey ppls. My front brake are undersize, squeeling and squeeking constantly, pads are almost finished, hence, I need some new rotors and pads. The DBA 4000 Series 6x6 Wiper Slots are the ones I would like, (well, I'd really like the 5000 series two piece with aluminum hat, but I cant really justify that!!!) but the Catalogue states that there are two sizes for my car. One size says 296, and the other 310mm So what do I have? See below a bit from the catalogue..... PS, I drive an R34 GTT, 98 model.
