  1. Good place to check out interest rates is www.infochoice.com.au Usually have trouble getting a loan for an import for two reasons: 1) age (generally over the 3/5/8 year old maximum age for a car under loan purchase) 2) it's an import
  2. http://www.jpnz.co.nz
  3. I wouldn't say that running costs between a GTT and late model GTST would differ that much, provided both are in decent condition. I even find that servicing my Skyline only costs marginally more than a non-imported car (mainly because I use premium fluids). If it's a near-stock daily driver, shouldn't have any major problems.
  4. Snowman I saw the ICE Supra up for sale on Prestige's mailing list.. I take it that it's probably not going to be attending then?
  5. Sorry, my mistake. It is eligible! Great car..
  6. The R34 GT-V is basically the chassis, driveline and components (eg brakes, suspension, LSD) of a GT-T, but with the RB25DE. http://www.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/0001GT_V/ http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/may03/skyline_gtv/ //edit: removed incorrect statement.
  7. If you're getting the repairs done yourself, make sure you've informed the cops of the damage that was done and give them a copy of the repair bill / quote. If the matter goes to trial you can usually request damages.
  8. Power FC? When you first install PFC you're supposed to run idle correction, eg 10 min with A/C on, 10 min with demister, 10 min with both (or something like that). If you didn't run it properly...?
  9. Here is your answer: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=105865 and here is your answer again: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=102575 and here again: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=102576 Read through these threads you started, and you will have an idea
  10. Well if he stepped in front of you and you hit him you could have said 'See? I wouldn't have stopped in time for that yellow light?' NB: Don't run down cops mmkay?
  11. nsta: As stated up the top of this forum, This is *NOT* the place to ask questions or to try and get help. There is no need to create two threads in differnt forums asking the same question. All you are doing is effectively making it hard to find all the answers from everyone. As has been said before to you, please make the effort to search for the info you're looking for, because the majority of questions you ask have been asked before, several times. I just did a quick search and found the following threads about flushing your coolant: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=96319 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=69726 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=62427 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=53159 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=12332 These two are for RB20 and RB26 but should give you some good advice http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=43402 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=67730 and this thread mention what sort of coolants to use http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=27793 Vijay
  12. Oven or a heat gun, then pry apart the sealant.
  13. Only the turbocharged variants of the R32 are currently available for importing under SEVS: 2 Door: - GT-R, GTS-4 & GTS-t TypeM. 4 Door: - GTS-t TypeM
  14. http://www.whiteline.com.au/articles/HPI22_r34_1.htm A scan from Whiteline chronicling the suspension under the car..
  15. There are a hell of a lot of Skylines out there with '97' in the VIN numbers, that's a pretty broad range to start from.
  16. Because even though the cars are made for Japan they are made with an English name?
  17. Running no cat kills dolphins
  18. Post in the Wanted to Buy section, that you are interested in one At the same time check the Parts for sale section for people who are selling one. Second hand GTT coolers will sell for around $200 The R34 GTT intercooler isn't a direct bolt it. It will probably cost you about $50 to make the minor modifications required to fit. A few ppl have done it on the forums (RSTME?)
  19. On the Cyberstork website they seem to recommend that you use LEDs inplace of your normal dash bulbs to illuminate better at night..
  20. Doesn't help if it won't pass a tech inspection.
  21. BD4s actually rents out the tuning software to a few other tuners on occasions (eg CRD), they don't own it themselves. What about the Power FC D-Jetro? That uses a MAP sensor rather than AFM and it's plug and play. In any case, probably best to speak to some tuners near you and see what they are most capable with. No point getting a whizbang ECU if no-one can tune it for you.
  22. Question: If it's only just coming into Australia why only six months rego?
  23. haha for every person saying one good thing there is always someone ready to shoot them down. I've read that Jetspeed has done some work for HPI, eg the R32 project car. Looked to be okay. On the other hand, my mate went to Jetspeed and is now in the middle of legal proceedings against them
