  1. Anyone got pics to share?
  2. Read the article ppls.. FYI that was from HPI 38, which was published last year. It doesn't say anything about Nissan being in trouble at the moment..they WERE in financial trouble a few years ago.. While Ghosn was at the helm, several decisions were made that included Nissan ceasing production of the Silvias, and no more RB-based Skyline. It also says that one of the explanations for this decision was that the RB / SR engines were based on old platforms, expensive to make and not space efficient compared to newer ones. And it doesn't say that Nissan is going to become an SUV-only manufacturer, rather that it is a fear that it could happen.. La la la..and so on. Martin Donnon (who wrote it) is on the forums I do believe so perhaps if he reads this he can clarify the intent of the article (I'm right, aren't I?)..
  3. All the sponsors who donate and provide banner ads - is there a list of them anywhere?
  4. Yeh I've been looking for an exhaust too, particularly the split dump pipe. Had trouble finding one cheaply, but I don't think it'll make that much different if you're keeping stock turbo (like I am). So I just settled for a standard dump/front pipe in one (no split)...check the forsale forums for BATMBL's thread.
  5. Customs/AQIS will only direct the car to go to Hobbs if the car is dirty, although I'm not sure if this refers to inside or out. Inside of my car was pretty much clean, the exterior looked like it needed a wash though. Con from CGL remarked that not that many cars pass the inspection without needing the cleaning. I walked through Hobbs and could see why things can go missing. During the day the gates are wide open, and I walked around for about 20 min and no-one asked what I was doing there, while I was checking out the cars there.
  6. I used Control Global and only had one minor problem - that I didn't read the payment options properly. On the day I went to pay them and pick up my car from the wharf, I was shattered when told they only accepted a bank cheque / cash (I had a personal cheque). But that's my bad. Came back the next day with the bank cheque and it was fine. They had previously organised the AQIS inspection (car was clean so it didn't need to go to Hobbs), and they gave me all the paperwork I just took it down to Glebe, and they gave me the keys. PS - car will be empty of fuel so if you are driving it away, bring a jerrycan. This time (another car on boat as I speak), I'm trying to do it all myself, save a couple of hundred dollars. Bit of a learning curve but if it all goes well (I'll know next week), then I'll be more than happy to help anyone with the process.
  7. Black man in desperate need of a haircut - can't be that hard to see..haha /ps - my gf was the one who bought the fto spoiler..
  8. 1. Drag angry gf to UAS. 2. Get to UAS, and proceed to lock keys in car. 3. Get NRMA to unlock aforementioned car, while gf pisses herself laughing. 4. Buy a chin spoiler each Pity I got there so late otherwise I might have bought more. My ego was shattered after locking my keys, couldn't think straight and forgot to ask about the club. Anyone from the forums rememer talking to me? The man with the crazy hair that came in just before close?
  9. Spoke to Peter a few months ago just enquiring about some parts..he was very upfront and frank about the ones I was asking about, and I appreciated him saying that..instead of just giving me a price he asked about my goals and gave me some good advice.
  10. Also no-one is making comments about the business practices itself..people have mentioned where he works and that in light of the difficulties in contacting him, some suggested contacting him through the business.
  11. I did Sydney -> Adelaide (lunch stop) -> Perth in 27 hours..got delayed for 6 hours on the Nullabor waiting for petrol station to open! That was in a beat up Tarago..wonder how quickly you could do it in a 'line? PS - Nullarbor has the longest straight stretch of road in Australia, around 180km..
  12. Why doesn't someone who's been ripped (or a few of you) just try the AFP? With all the forum posts + his info I'm sure they wouldn't just dismiss it. Just buy looking at the amount of For Sale posts on SDU and SAU (not to mention others if there are) he could have allegedly* swindled a fair bit of money from people. * I say this because despite what others have said I personally have not dealt with this guy. //well it looks like he posted on one of the SDU threads. Didn't really have much to say though.
  13. LOL KamikazeR33.. this is what happens when people start referring to old threads..the dead are awakened..
  14. Forget karma! g00kb0i I strongly suggest you contact the AFP at http://www.afp.gov.au/ If this guy has scammed a few people, and he's this identifiable I'm pretty sure you might be able to get somewhere with the police.
  15. Ooo..they both look really nice! I liked the one on this page, but they've said the kit has since been discontinued.. http://www.japanparts.com/Accessories/Niss.../R33Late/Nismo/
  16. I'm not in for this one Rezz, but if there's a possibility that you can get other Skylines with the same level of detail I'd be keen for them.
  17. You mean like this? http://www.rs-competition.ru/texpodderjka.html HKS, Apexi, Greddy and Blitz manuals.
  18. Yeh weight is one of the reasons I'm looking at titanium..stainless catback system was quoted at approx 20kg, which is the max that EMS will carry. Titanium was only 5kg
  19. Hi, Been looking at a full exhaust (turbo back) for my 33, probably going to go for a Japanese one. Just wondering if anyone's had one bought one from Japan before, and was it fairly straightforward? At the moment I'm sorting tossing up full stainless (heavy = freight costs) or a titanium catback (lighter, less freight).. *heavy = compared with the titanium one..*
  20. Netbank doesn't allow you to transfer overseas yet as far as I know.. I was recommended ozforex.com.au by my import agent and I've used it several times. Rates seem to be pretty good compared to the banks, but they do have a minimum transfer amount.. As for the XE service, haven't used that yet. Had a quick look and I guess it looks ok.
  21. mine didn't get one done at compliance (last december) either, but I got white dials installed, and now I have an electronic dimmer switch..
