  1. To me that dyno sheet with -5's is what the 9s can do, But much sooner. 120 odd kw at 100km/ph were as by that stage -9s would be well into the 150kw range. Looks like after about 150km per hour is were the 5's really take off?
  2. im sure the 9s will make the power much beter around town, Its almost double the KW at 3000rpm on the 9s compared to the 5's edit: Not double but atleast 50kw more

Nismoid your main application for your car seems to be through the hills/bends, Which i understand the importance of response in that sense, But would you still swing the way of -9s for a highway cruiser with the ocasional bend on the way. From the dyno sheets i compared the -9s shit all over the 5s up untill about 110km per hour, Then the 5's take over....Then you loose your licence. But yer.... End of the day.....i cant find someone to ride in with -5s so i cant compare like you.
  4. yep they come with wiring and height adapters, Also tuff car parts sell the 10.5m adapterplugs for $11 ea.
  5. Could still feel the boost come on and pull like a dam train in Nicks GTR with -9s. haha im itching to feel the diffrenace on a bigger set up if you think its alot more of a differance.
  6. actually spent a good couple hours today talking to a few tuners around, JEM, Unigroup, Even had a chat with couple of the boys from GCG. ( who always try and tell me the -5's are responsive. ( so there customers say) Each one said -5's are a much better option, apart from unigroup saying it depends on your application, All said there is really not much diffreance in response, Yet top end power and room for bigger set up will be lost in the future going -9's unless you plan to buy another set of blowers

  8. I buckled....Ive got two invoices From GCG sitting on my desk, one for -5s one for -9s. Did purchase a set of id 1000s. So thats enough money for today how bout i give one of you the 2500 and you can make the choice and buy for me
  9. tuff car parts supply wiring plug kits (wire back into loom) , Are they needed, OR do they come std wereever you purchase the ID 1000cc injectors?

  13. Nah never driven a turbo mate, ( mates VL turbo, but that dosent count) so yer its hard to know what i want, I dont want a track car. Just a real quick street car. That will still throw you back in your seat.
  14. Blowers are being bought today. So decsion will be made in the next hour. Any more constructive input or ways to sway my mind is apprecaited...
  15. Atm its a rb25 NA gts4. Bone stock. You can have the biggest "balls" in the world...Still not going to help in making the right desicion. you say -5's....Then you say Nismoid knows what his talking about saiyng -9s... haha looks like none of us could organize a root in a brothel.
  16. everyone will have mixed opinion, Though the jist around here seems to be the NIsmo supper copper mix or Jim berry custom. Also direct clutch have a good rep. All dpends how much you want to spend and drivalibilty.

  18. I walk to work and have a daily for the run around stuff. So this car will be a good weather Weekender ONLY. Also planned a few long trips to melb ect. Which got me thinking, a smaller turbo such as the -9 would almost always be sitting on boost on the freeway would it not? Same as a -7 So something like a -5 would provide better economy for highway driving as the turbos is not constantly spooling. Or am i misguided on this one? Either way this will not be a daily driver, But then again I want good response through the twisties. Which im sure -5s can still provide. Just not as good at the -9s. nomnomv8- your comment has again swayed me away from the -9’s. But I really haven’t made the comparisons like you having sat in both cars. Still looking for a -5 set up to take a ride in.

  21. yer some Dyno sheets were rpm, others were kmph so a mixture of all, left out hp sheets cbf converting then,

  23. wish it was that easy....the KW range is not my goal. Although it easier to strive for a particular figure. Now im more looking at the driveablilty. All fair and well to say you have 400kw....but its not very practical to have that at 150km Main reason for me doing this is to compare the power at the lower range. And to me it looks like the smaller set up has alot more usable power. ( if ive read then all correctly)
