so far i think we're gonna struggle to make 450 unless the girl's been flogging it, i've only punched it twice up to 100

haha, steady on mate, i'm not trying to start shit. but tbh, it doesn't really answer my question. this was a "power" test for fresh oil in a 4 cylinder turbo engine and a 8 cylinder na engine. it wasn't a "power after 5000km of running" test, or an "evo vs hsv" test, or a "how well will this oil protect my engine" test either. sure the fan was closer to the evo, but the type of car is largely irrespective. the fan was not moved between oil changes, which is the main point.
-
how so? if you buy oil for power, it's probably the best test you're gonna get. i personally buy oil for the protective qualities, not power, but we're all different. which oil was that?

Factory Xenon Globes In Series 2 Stagea
pyro-ns replied to RS4StagMan's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
hmmmm, my dad drives an x-type jag and i'm near certain that his (factory) hid's don't have any washer mechanism... i'm not even sure that they're have auto-levelling abilities, lol. -
for anyone who's interested, the best two i've been able to find (for R33 GTST, it looks the same, so that's what i'm going off at the moment, my FAST skills aren't high enough to check for consistency, lol): D-Project Adjustable Castor Rods - Suit Silvia/200SX S13 S14 S15, Skyline R32 R33 R34, Cefiro A31, 300ZX Z32 - $249 Delivered from nissansilvia.com. I've only just put these in my s13, haven't had an alignment yet though. ISC castor arms S13/A31/180sx/S14/S15/R32 gtst/R33 gtst/R34 gtt - $199 NOT DELIVERED (not sure on delivery price). They look exactly the same as the D-Project rods.

Factory Xenon Globes In Series 2 Stagea
pyro-ns replied to RS4StagMan's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
quick question, does anyone know why the factory HID's are removed during compliance? to the best of my knowledge, the difference between legal and illegal xenon setups, is that they have to be height adjustable, so that they don't blind people, yet stageas come with the height adjustability... -
speculation (i've never looked at an r33, but from all other cars i've seen): 1 actual O2 (lambda) sensor, which is the one in the dump pipe. the sensor in the cat is most likely a cat temp sensor. generally this is used to tell the driver if the cat is dead (incredibly high temps = dead cat = badly drawn icon on your dash cluster that lights up).
-
currently got oil temp, oil pressure and water temp in Saber S2 for the girl's car. oil temp + pressure in the glove box, water and boost to go into the ash tray spot (all 60mm). the series 2's scream at you when you go past a defined limit, hence why 2 of them are mostly out of sight. will post pics when they're all in. still trying to get a suitable boost gauge.

the wife's stag has the dayz front bar and i think we'll end up doing the same it's probably the only kit i've seen on a car that i've liked
-
the only fmic install i've done was in an s13 silvia. i cut the reo with an angle grinder and the plastic bumper with a dremel. watch out for this ^^^ lol. when i took to mine with the dremel, i had to set up a fan to blow the smoke away. it's toxic, smells like shit and burns your eyes. plus you get the fairy floss effect all over your dremel

Aftermarket Radiators On S2's C34's

orright! it's under way! quick question, does anyone know if all s2 stageas have standard tranny coolers? -
Stag Series 2 - Air Con Filter Removal
pyro-ns replied to Stagea_Neo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
quick question, what about blowing the filters with an air compressor (obviously after you get most of the bigger stuff off)? i have an absolutely piss weak vacuum cleaner is all this is how i clean the filter on the vacuum cleaner as well -
Aftermarket Radiators On S2's C34's
pyro-ns replied to pyro-ns's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
yeah, they were quite brittle. i showed the girl and she snapped a piece off with her hands... i understand the science behind thermostats in cooling systems, the reason i asked the question was because i wanted to find out if the stock rad was able to cool the system back down to the thermostat level, thus giving me a gauge in efficiency of stock setup. but don't worry, the stag will be getting an fmic and 3" exhaust some time in the not too distant future (unless i break other things first, haha). i also have plans for a big farcough tranny cooler too cheers for your reply -
VERY interested to see how this goes. best of luck!!! how nice would it be to get AN fittings in black and braided lines in black also? would retain much of the sleeperisms
-
looks like a greddy copy. i'd find other people who have used this particular manifold before you guy one. as long as the internal dynamics are the same, you can't go wrong for that much. greddy items are around a grand from memory.
-
you should see if they'll give you the stuff that they take off it mate
-
good. it'd be interesting to see a revised compressor efficiency map. i somehow doubt they would have drawn one though lol
-
is this an M35 thing? that's barely 7 years use....
-
hahahaha, why do you hate it so much? i personally love it! it could be a little quieter, but it's great! i've even kept it in my s13 the "keys in the ignition" chime i could do without though....

i noticed your wastegate actuator housing is now black... did they reburbish/swap it at all?

Aftermarket Radiators On S2's C34's
pyro-ns replied to pyro-ns's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hi all, So i f**ked the mrs radiator top tank today. replaced oem clamp with normal hoseclamp, overtightened not thinking that i was tightening on to plastic, and of course, coolant started pissing out everywhere. Broke the neck into 5 or 6 different pieces. Just wanting to find out what other people have upgraded to? I know 2/3 of stuff all about radiators. I know there's some with more cores than others (which apparently cools better?), with different thicknesses, but aside from that, i'm a noob. Gotta go wash the coolant off my hands and face now. Cat's desperately trying to lick me. Cheers guys josh -
cheers for the info mate though i think you'd find autospeed would disagree with you about the under engine tray
