  1. odd, my gtv came with red badges
  2. there is also the badges, whats the difference between the BLUE "GT" badge and the RED "GT" badge on the guards
  3. When i removed my panel filter and installed my stainless intake pipe i noticed a bit of oil gathering inside it. + 1 for the catch can bro, but extend your piping into the empty space where the snorkel would have feed down into.
  4. I would have driven into the dog tbh, plow into and stop vs driving into a ditch... leaving the road is the worst thing to do. a, because you could end up crossing the other side of the road into another car or b, strike a much bigger object such as a tree, power poll or in your case, a bank. I've heard of other stories regarding parts/services, seems the best thing to do is go over the muppets (managers) head and threaten legal action if they are being dodgy.
  5. you need the 25GTT badge too
  6. I get on average about 320km's out of a full tank of gas (45 ish liters) 400km's on the highway tho
  7. My car is sonic silver, not sure which one. I think the difference is one is a purple kind of silver where as the other one is just straight silver
  8. I recently applied for new plates saying i "lost" one of my current plates haha. Ended up being FKC885 (KFC AND f**k come to mind lol) I've seen skizza and skidda (and other variations) on a few skylines over here. The stupidest plates I've seen were "HO BAIT" and "HO PULLA" on evos and "lustn" on a honda haha
  9. awhile back you said you didn't put fake shit on your car, not even stickers. Whats up?
  10. When i got some signage put on the back of my car they used a metal scraper and then some sort of paste to remove the water marks, only took a few minutes. Anyone that applies stickers etc to cars could tell you what to use, try asking a local sign writing company for the specific details
  11. The gtr bonnet has a big gap missing in the front of it for a reason. Try closing the gtt bonnet on a gtr bumper, good luck. Do I need to say more??? chop the bumper and you'll be fine, don't listen to the people that are saying It'll be ok - its physically impossible with out cutting the top of the front bumper. Unless the top of the gtr bumper sits forward more than the GTT one then yes, you would be fine.. but i doubt it
  12. I've heard of other people putting this system on there car, but I personally haven't heard this one running. But going of the fact that its for a turbo car, the piping will be a lot bigger than that on an N/A. So, if you don't want more noise than speed and don't want police attention then yes this system will be rubbish. You can always go on youtube and listen to all the different exhausts, even tho the sound quality on camera's are crap.
  13. Yea at the moment its pretty random, its not quite a constant miss fire. As you probably know apart from the RB26, skyline engines are pretty stupid having the air intake over the engine, which means I cant take it apart and then feel comfortable putting it all back together correctly. I haven't heard of aerostart? If i get a mechanic to take it all apart and then play around with the coils, its not quite at the stage where it misses constantly so i have no way to know if I have replaced the right coil or even if it is the coils.
  14. Yes, any custom setup like i mentioned before sounds great. The skylines that sound like crap are usually the ones that run a pipe thats waaaay oversized or have a big ass cannon on the back of it. Also if you do a half ass job and only replace the tip with a cannon (leaving the stock piping how it is) it will also sound like crap. A few jap brands stock bolt on exhaust kits for N/A skylines but they can be pretty expensive, if you can't afford to do the exhaust properly wait until you can, otherwise you might end up spending more in the long run to get it sounding nice.
  15. As soon as i started my car this afternoon it started miss firing constantly, then when i got in to traffic and started doing the whole stop start thing the car would shake quite badly while idling. This is really starting to piss me off.
  16. That would be for a turbo car, if you are thinking it will make your car faster or sound like a turbo car you are wrong lol. 3inch is too big for an N/A car, stick with custom or buy a proper N/A exhaust off the shelf as it is suited to your car and not something else.
  17. Last year my car started miss firing so i got it checked out and had all the coils replaced. A month or two after that one of the coils packed up so i had to replace that, problem solved for the mean time. Now almost exactly a year later my car is started to miss fire again (not badly) so i put some injector cleaner in the petrol and for a week the car ran normally. Now its starting to miss fire on and off randomly, Sometimes it just does it at idle and will fire properly as the RPM is increased or sometimes it will miss fire on heavy acceleration like on off on off on off on off really fast, then a few minutes later its back to normal!!! I have just replaced my spark plugs and fuel filter and swapped out the coil that packed up last time (because i think its a certain spot in the engine bay that gets hotter than the rest) and it ran fine for a day or two. Now today it seems to be miss firing just like it used to and i am out of ideas!!! the only thing i can say is that the engine light HASN'T come on, last year when it miss fired the light would come on and stay on until the car was turned off. Also its more likely to miss fire cruising on the open road in 5th gear Please can someone help me as its using a lot of fuel and makes the car soooooo slow......
  18. I have never been pulled over by the cops due to my exhaust, and when i was pulled over (only three times to date, twice for accelerating too fast, once for speeding) they never looked at the cannon or anything. Don't get a big fat rice cannon and you should be fine. The bigger it is the louder it will be and the more attention it will attract.
  19. I would recommend a custom job including Coby extractors, Coby resonators x2 and whatever good quality tip you can afford. I have 2. 1/4 inch mild steel piping coming off Coby extractors and through a long hot dog Coby resonator and a RPS 3inch cannon with internal baffle. (i think its 3inch might be slightly larger). I have had this on my N/A Neo for about 3 years now and I finally heard it for the first time with someone else driving my car and i have to say, it sounded AMAZING its a lot nicer than what i thought it would be outside the car and you can really appreciate the genuine skyline exhaust note. It was about 91.3 DB. I recently failed a warrant of fitness due to the exhaust (new laws meaning its up to the individual doing the test to pass it or not regardless of the db reading) so i installed another small Coby resonator and dropped it down to 87.1 DB which is probably a good level to have it at, so i would recommend two resonators in your exhaust system and you shouldn't have any problems with cops or anything and it will sound nice, not tin arse. Just make sure the cannon you put on isn't too big! p.s it cost me about $1100 NZ for my set up, i wouldn't waste my money on fancy jap cannons if i was you, any half descent brand will sound just as good, some people say RPS is shit but i would tell them to get farked and have a listen to my car because that would shut them up. And if you wanted the full effect get a professional to mount up a pod filter or get a high flow panel filter installed as you get a nice semi loud sucking sound from the intake, kinda like a turbo car but not as loud and obviously not caused from a turbo lol
  20. oh hey look exactly what i said ages ago in this thread, might as well close the thread now it has been confirmed.
  21. The problem isn't just caused by too much polish, its as simple as not washing your car with a clean and suitable wash mit, usually in winter time or after its rained quite a lot mud/sand start covering the road and once it sticks to your car this can sometime cause problems to the unwary car enthusiast who just wants to keep his/her car clean. When your wash mit gets clogged up there is nowhere for the grit to go and so it sits on the surface of your wash mit causing swirl marks ( depending on the motion your using), and in fact they are not "marks" but fine scratches. To prevent this you should be using two buckets of water, one with detergent and another with just plain warm water (to rinse the mit in before it goes back into the detergent bucket), This stops debris staying on your mit and keeps the clean water clean. I would not recommend sponges or anything with a flat surface if you are washing are car covered in grit, as this will practically turn into sand paper and just rub the grit around on the paint surface. Some people will disagree with this, but i use a lambs wool mit, its great because the individual fibers are always randomly changing direction and are not in the same position when moving across the paint surface, so any grit picked up will be dispersed throughout the mit and not in direct contact with the paint all the time. Occasionally i use a thick "noodle" hand mit.. both create a high level off suds (lubrication + cleaning power) and trap debris inside the mit - this is why people will say this is not a good thing to use but if you rinse the mit thoroughly (a squeeze and a few seconds swirling around) 99.9% of potential scratching grit will be removed
  22. aids spread pretty quick in shit countries lol. 350z has alot or power for an NA, the base model comes with 300hp and the newer tricked out ones have as much as 350hp approx
  23. How much power did you get from the rebore + hone??
  24. no don't get coil overs, whats the point of having a 4wd if you can't drive over curbs ahahhahahahhahaha
  25. lol dude we get it, your loaded... don't tell us every expensive thing that you have bought for your car Have a look on ebay for 2nd hand genuine nissan spares. You can get replica GTR genuine kits too, they look similar to GTR stuff but are specifically made for GT or GTT'S without making your car wider or having to buy aftermarket guards to line up with the bumper.
