  1. gas will be useless if they smash a window to get in
  2. yea there's no problem doing that but you waste money paying interest, I'm kind of patient so i can wait till i have the cash in hand lol, i don't see the point in paying 10-20% more than i have too.
  3. most gains are approx 20kw on an NA car, but those are usually cars with aftermarket ecu's with a good tune
  4. If you have an aftermarket exhaust say 2.5" in diameter and intake mods like a high flow panel filter and your mates doing the labor side for you then go ahead and put the cams in, if you had to pay for someone to do it most people would say its a waste of money. Gains wise, not HUGE but definitely noticeable and probably the best mod you can do for an N/A other than the basics..
  5. thieves are scum of the earth, if your reading this and your a thief go jump off a bridge and die you farken moron, go get a job and stop taking shit off other people coz your too lazy to get a job like everyone else.
  6. /\ above, no you don't have to save for a year to buy a body kit, just a couple months depending on your circumstances.. I drive an N/A car so that means what you said applys to me? in that case, not that hard to save money and spend it on pointless shit lol. I'd have a GTT but i don't want to be like almost every other dick out there and waste money on a loan
  7. lol buddy read the other posts people wrote in response in what you said before. As for for what i said about sub boxes, sealed is said to give better stats in competitions (on paper) but to anyone with a basic set up ported will always seem better. And with head units i wasn't talking bout shit that's on sale, I'm talking about a head unit that costs say $200 brand new sounding shit compared to something that costs something like $500-700, if you want to talk about things depreciating over time and compare them to something brand spanking new, well good for you, everything apart from houses and investments etc devalue over time and make new stuff look like a rip off, also if i wanted to use that as an example i would say then why not wait another year and get this years top head unit for "$200" next year. Anyways im not starting an argument coz i cant be farked and this isn't what the guy cares about.
  8. sorry if im incorrect but haven't you just bypassed the filter having that big hole at the top? doesn't standard air flow come from the bottom and flow up though the filter. Or is that thick mesh and therefore doesn't matter so much?
  9. east bear kit. Easy. Probably just cheaper that $10,000 after its fitted, painted and new wheels bought etc. DONE. no cutting/welding/aligning etc etc lol As for gun metal dude hating on posers etc, adding wide body guards is not necessarily trying to copy the GT-R is just looks better that way, it gives the car more angles and what not, its like rolling a turd in glitter... it just looks better. p.s it would look a lot better than if he was to just buy a body kit without going wide body, almost every kit iv seen has side skirts that stick out like dogs balls and doesn't blend into the overall body shape.
  10. Buy a gps unit and stick it where the last owner did.
  11. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-302451545.htm Found this while looking through the site, thought someone might be interested in it
  12. The manual R34's are a lot better As for handling mentioned a few posts ago, I've raced a few of my mates on mountain roads etc.. going downhill my mates NA mr2 (with coil overs etc) would smoke me but going uphill I'd totally smoke him as my car handles like shit going downhill on tight corners, uphill is a different story tho
  13. Have you got a loud blow off valve on this beast? I'd love to see the look on peoples faces when you boost it right behind them lol. definitely need some videos of this running
  14. What kind of lsd do R34 GT-T's come with?
  15. this is kind of related so im going to hijack this thread lol. Iv got an R34 GT V but i want it boosted so I've been looking around at ways to do that and i found a cheap GT-T motor for $1500, how much more would i need to spend on getting it installed??? and getting it set up to run in an N/A car?? My car already came with the turbo brakes and lsd so i don't need to worry about those, just the gearbox and engine side of things
  16. I raced an Integra type R in my R34, 0-180 km/h and i won by about one & half car lengths lol, i got the lead off the line (even with wheel spin) and kept it up until 180 km/h, it was funny because you could actually see the v-tec kicking in on the honda as he would catch up a few meters every now and again and then fall back an equal distance when v-tec went off haha... good old consistent Rb25 power. but then again when i raced an accord from a 50km/h - 90 that was pretty even, probably slightly slower than it maybe
  17. Save your cash, iv already learned the lesson of wasting cash on an N/A car... i wish i never spent so much money on mine lol it feels good knowing you have cash in the bank too. Unlike aussie we don't have stupid p plate laws, if i hadn't modified my car I'd be able to buy a turbo r34 now, which I'd be a lot happier with. but if you really think the 2 way will make you happy, buy it, and take it off when you sell your car
  18. If you want that lip by the headlights all you have to do is buy a GTR style bonnet for GTT or just buy a GTR bonnet and get GTR hinges and bonnet lock assembly and swap it over. And then get a GTR bumper, but the bumper won't fit the exact shape of the GTT guards.. if that doesn't bother you then its pretty easy to do all that mentioned above.
  19. I saw an r34 with a factory wing I've never seen before, it looks like the normal coupe wing but it had more angle on it and had a brake light in the middle of it.. has anyone see it before? p.s no its not the one with alloy legs.
  20. i heard theres no point putting in a rear sway bar in skylines because of the way the suspension etc
  21. yes its possible, someone has done that already on this forum. Only thing is the guards won't meet the bumper %100 so the bumper will hang about 10-15mm into the wheel arch but other than that it should be sweet as long as you get all the appropriate hinges and bonnet latch (if you get a GTR bonnet) The bonnet in that pic is either nismo or nismo style, if you want to save time and money just get a GT-R style front bumper so you don't have to get a GT-R bonnet and everything will fit %100
  22. I wish i hadn't spent anything on my car, i could have bought a GTT by now
  23. new bumper is $100, respray will cost $300-400 if you don't have mates rates Does your bumper have the "SKYLINE" and 25GT badges? the only reason i bought a new bumper was coz i wanted those badges lol. Rule of thumb is if you can see black its not able to be fixed without having it resprayed as its taken the paint right off and dug into the plastic. and if your planning on buying a body kit, do it before you fix the bumper as your going to be paying for a respray anyway you may as well put an aftermarket kit on and spray that instead.
  24. When your looking around on car yards ask them if they sell warranties as well, when i got my car i decided to pay for the 3 year warranty they provided (from a third party), 2 years down the road my coils started playing up so i used the warranty and got all my coils replaced for free, and we all know factory nissan coils cost shitloads. thats the other thing with skylines man, the coils start dying at around 100,000kms
  25. If i were you i would get the parts from a wrecker and do it properly, that way it look 100%. If you can, get a mate to help you fit the bumper to the car when you've finished modifying it, its a real pain in the ass trying to do it by yourself, when i put mine on i had to do it one side at a time and every time i tried to get the whole thing on, one side would pop off lol you have to force it a little bit And have a look at getting a lip for it, makes it lower at the front and adds a bit off R34 GT-R style to it
