yeah i accidentally lent on some and it got on my forearm , i washed it off but it kept burning for quite a while.. And that was a tiny dot, no way i'd put it in my palm..
  6. nah , just a gentle love tap will get it out, no need to belt it..
  7. Yeah it will stop it has a flat end on it.. When I pulled it apart I was thinking I may have to take the hub off too Actually if you look in one of the pics i had taken the hubnut cap off, i went looking for a giant socket to fit but couldnt find one
  8. yeah highly unlikely it would be the cause ,I was just throwing ideas around as i do

yeah thats the stuff, thick brown goo the can sizzles when u shake it.. I tried 3m spray stripper. 20$ for 2 cans did nothing some green stuff from bunnings 40$ a litre was a little better but still no good. 25$ for half a litre of the good stuff from paint supplies store, i used half a tin and job done.
  11. <<< goes to check for rust while i am here i would just like to say screw you Dave and screw your sexy engine bay..I read this thread last week and felt inspired, so much so I starting pulling a few things apart for a freshen up, As it was a long weekend i pulled everything apart and proceeded to start sanding and cleaning parts.. i was at this point that i realized I really cbf with all this hard work , it is gunna cost more than a few tins of paint and at the very least i would need to install a greddy plenum (now purchased) for my bay to look even half as decent as yours.. So because of you I have no money , I cant drive my car for at least a couple more weeks (more likely months) and my wife is shitty at me for spending all my time and money on the car again. You basterd
  12. lol....nah that would be too easy..wheres the fun in that...
  13. Yeah its melbourne man who the f**k gives way in melbourne anymore, everybody just pulls out and not hitting them is your problem.. I had a truck pull out of a driveway across both lanes today right in front of me despite having a clear view of me coming. I locked up skids heading for the gutter just pulled it up in time not to hit anything and the kuntface asian driving it was just having a giggle.. have you seen the signs on the western ring road around pascoe vale "PLEASE DONT TAILGATE IT MAY CAUSE MAYHEM" The fact that people need to be told this is ridiculous, and i watch people there pull out of traffic onto freeway on ramps just to merge back in 2 car spaces ahead, seriously the stu[pidity of these people amazes me.. Anyway little off topic but yeah, Drag racing is bad mmk ,if you drag race you are bad mmmk.. seriously how many more dopey bastards stepping or driving out in front of speeding cars have to die before speeding and drag racing is made illegal
  14. what real gains are to be had removing the carbon canister anyway..1kw maybe I also remember reading somewhere that in Japan race and drift cars are required to keep them, anyone know if this is correct. Cause those cars are mighty quick so it seems to me removing it is pointless and a waste of fuel..

yeah it is but this powdercoat was made in china
  16. plastix hey. Will that work on other plastic as well, like the cowl panel under the wipers for instance, mines rather faded
  17. yeah i got one of those kits and they are rubbish..the only good thing in them is the uv potectant which im sure you could purchase on its own somewhere.. What they contain is 5 grades sandpaper...avoid sanding at all cost if you do just use 2000grit, otherwise you will spend ages buffing small scratches that will never really come out .1 sheet of 2000 grit paper is about 1$ . Special cleaning formula...its f**kin windex your mum will have it in her kitchen cupboard buffing compound... Well most of us have a bottle of scratchx or similar for our paintwork anyway so why buy more as an added bonus the scrathx will work better thn the stuff they give you. chux clothes and a scourer...also in your mums kitchen cupboard So for 1$ and a trip to mums you have cleaned your headlights just as well as a 35$ kit If you dont sand them you shouldnt need the uv prtectant anyway... Anyway i learnt the hard way but lucky for me the guy at autobahn forgot to scan my kit so it was free anyway.. But dont waste your money on it kids..better yet ,use the money you save to buy your mum some flowers you know she deserves them, oh and tell her i said Hi

cheers , yes I was considering soda blasting there's a guy in carrum downs does it.. But I ended up going to paint mobile in dandy , he recomended some industrial paint stripper and it worked a treat.. I guess the stripper I was using just wasn't toxic enough to strip powdercoat

need some parts dipped, anyone know where i can get this done.. Preferably around dandenong or frankston..
  22. Step 1 Purchase wheel stud from any autoparts store.. Step 2 This is for the rear wheel, for this the car will need to be in neutral with the handbrake off so make sure its not going to roll away by chocking up wheels then jack up rear of car and put on jackstands. Step 3 Remove wheel Step 4 Remove caliper by undoing these 2 bolts Step 5 Remove disc, if it doesn't come off easily find 2 bolts that fit into the holes here, then turn them until the disc pops out Step 6 If you line the stud up with this gap then give it a good whack or 2 with a hammer it will pop out. Step 7 Put new stud in, bit tricky but can be done Step 8 Now you have to pull the stud through, its a tight fit, to do this I put a large nut behind the regular nut. Then tighten it until the stud pops into place Step 9 Then put it back together, give caliper a clean with brakleen or some degreaser, put a quick coat of paint on the disc and its good as new Step 10 Replace shiny wheel after a solid hour of polishing
  23. will take plenum if its not sold yet.
