  1. measure the depth of the hole before you stick longer bolts in there. It may the bolt is too long and that is why it wont tighten up properly there shouldnt be any oil leaking where the gearbox bolts to the engine as that could been your rear main seal is shot and its engine oil thats leaking not gearbox oil.. Often dirty old oil will gum up and block leakages, sometimes replacing and cleaning it will cause it to leak again.. This happens alot when people clean their dirty old engine of oil and gunk and find all sorts of leaks that weren't there before. New thin oil will leak alot easier than thick dirty old oil, so it could be that the leaks were there already but the problem was masked by thick gunky old oil
  2. i think S/S means stainless steel Ash.. But no promises...
  3. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/ Whats "love to get stinked" mean, is it a QLD thing..
  4. mine does this when i have my phone plugged into the car charger..
  5. But isnt the boost feeding through the charger? with a vortex style charger I see how that would work but the one in the picture is a roots style which would require the feed to go through it.. The intake manifold would be the easy bit but then theres pulleys custom manifolds all sorts of mounts and linkages..Even in your workshop this would take a solid week at least, in the average humble garage we are talking months of work for no great result..
  6. Something like this is fine if you have access to a workshop full of tools and plenty of spare parts laying about, not to mention some major fabrication and mechanical skills needed to build something like that and make it reliable. How reliable is it? A worked V8 built with off the shelf parts would net you more usable torque/power and reliablitity without the need for custom bits. Of course some prefer just to be different for differents sake..
  7. Party pooper...
  8. Ok so i bought a bunch of supporting mods for a turbo that didnt perform as expected and basically would have been almost as good without them.. so coupla hypothetical Q.. if i got a gtx3071 with a .6 comp and .82 rear would require a 10mm 0r 20mm manifold spacer? do they come in 3inch inlet? which dump/fornt pipe? will my 2.5 inch cooler pipe be big enough? last but not least, best place to get one? Cmon guys tempt me...
  9. Also to make the most of your stage 2 turbo you will need at least the following Stage 1 > ecu and fuel system upgrade, driveline brake and suspension packages Stage 2 > filters, exhaust and intercooler Stage 3 > weight reduction package, tyres and NOS Your NOS bottle will refill itself automatically as you perform drifts, tricks or hold you racing line You will also need drift wing, widebody kit, pearlescent paint with matching tint, neons and at least 20inch (preferably 22inch) wheels for reputation points and street cred. And dont forget carbon fibre, lots of it, and not the stick on stuff, thats for posers Dont listen to these guys telling you your inlet manifold will blow or floorpans will fall out, that only happens in the movies. .

  19. Try this guy maybe.. http://www.mobilethreadfix.com/ I had a guy come to drill out 5 broken exhaust studs, he did all 12 and replaced them all with newies for about 100$ so shouldnt cost you much and saves alot of headache
  20. Yes you can..
  21. Ive bought random stuff for my car from ebay and all though i havent had any major problems as .Yet everytime i get something it looks like its a factory reject ( you know people work there and things dont pass QC so someone has snuck it out of the bin and sold it) or something that fell of the back of a truck... For this reason i always try to get things that are at least local so i can view before i buy, however that is easy being in melbourne..Not so easy for people that live in country towns and dont have that option.. I am usually of the opinion that often a quality product second hand is better than a cheap new one.. I got everything for my build second hand locally except for an exhaust gasket for 30$ off ebay...I still have my fingers crossed on that one... Ebay is a gamble, just like online poker or pokies.. When you blow your cash gambling nobody cares.. What shits me is ebay is setup so you cant complain without a whole lot of hassle and thats what makes it easy for people to sell junk. I think this is the problem that needs to be solved
  22. yeah didnt you see the endo it did with a sloppy gearchange...lol
  23. that is cools... But doesnt justify spending 30k+ on a new one..
  24. this is exactly what i was thinking I would do in this situation.but didnt want to give advice cause i hadnt done it before...
