yeah, just wondering what people use in their radiator, some some water is fine some say not some use additives like water wetter. I just flushed it with a hose and filled it with water and a bottle of corrosion inhibitor Do radiator flush additives work? Is coolant really necessary? What do you reccomend? What works?

Ok,reason i asked was your build thread said 650cc with an IG 3071 i doubt i will make anywhere close to the power you are so they should cope for me.. ... Would you say its the garret rear as opposed to the 6 bolt makes all the difference..?

yeah i got a gcg stamped 3071 s/h.. when i rang gcg to confirm it they tell me its a 3076 which was a bit confusing... Mind if ask what injectors your running Simon? I got 650 sards (out for testing atm) planning on e85 tune as well

yeah my mistake, i just seen his post in the rb25 upgrade section it is 3076r... I was looking at his old build thread which says 3037....

Not argueing about the 3076, great choice, but I believe Simons car has a 3037s with poncams.. And no doubt a full track tune..Correct me if im wrong..

,I have opposite problem, oil pressure is over 3/4 at start-up, then settles around 4 once warm.. Is this normal, could it be oil to thick? motul 8100

Not to nitpick Simon but wasn't your 3071 on a non neo and 3076 on a neo enigne? pretty sure that would make some small difference as well.

OUCH!! me and a friend were trying to put a gearbox in an escort a while back, bloody thing just wouldnt go in for some reason, needed like 5mm more clearance. With him under the car and me in the engine bay trying to force it in it slipped , fell and mashed his fiinger, got quite a few stitches.. While he was at the hospital i figured out the car was twisted on the stands and by jacking up part of the chassis it came straight enough that i got it in myself quite easily with a jack... ...

In melbourne so pretty spoilt for tuner choice actually Not really a concern unless it blows up ..And i have no clue ,so learning one will be as easy as learning the other Real concern is which is the better ECU, or are they both capable units..If they are both as good as each other would probably rather get the new one as Scott said so im not relying on s/h parts.. (which is kind of hypocritical as everything in my car is s/h ) Is the e420 a lemon compared to PFC and the new e1280 or is it simply not as good. or does nobody really know cause nobody wants to try it...I mean its only got handle a bigger turbo and injectors, not alot really

^^have seen pfcs without controller sell (here and ebay) for 7-800$$ what condtion they are in dunno ??? And i forgot, Also may want ability to change tween e85 and pulp...Sooooooo Can nistune do that?? Will that need a licence as well

Thing that has me keen at the adaptronic is if i change plans/cars down the line it can wire into anycar unlike the other pfc or nistune... But would only be the e420 Would love E1280, but at nearly 2k its way over budget and truthfully its probably overkill.. Tempting but...

how much is nstune chip again? about 400$ isnt it...+z32 ecu (if i can find one) +afm about another 500$

so after spending all day messing with my car again on sunday and putting everything back together in a last minute ive had enough today rush, I had everything back in but couldnt get my airbox to line up with its bolt holes so i pulled a bit harder and SNAP!!! split my AFM meter in half.. good one dickhead..probably should have loosened the intake pipe first... I know Im not alone, So whos broken what, how , when ,where and why?????

Sure ill get a flaming for starting another "which ecu " thread but f**k it ere goes... Far as i can tell for a r33 these are the main 3 options for an ecu in 1000$ range PFC..second hand under a 1000 plus new z32 afm, =can be had under 1000$ but is S/H.. Adaprtronic is new needs no afm just under 1000$ Nistune=part new part S/H, by time u get chip, fitting,afm and Z32 ecu getting close to 1000$ If nistune did a bloody chip for 33 it would be an easy choice but they dont, pfc is definately tried and tested, Adaptronic seems to be getting mixed reviews... So which would you use and why..??

from what Ive noticed, Hi-flows tend to make there power high in the rev range, you want low end power change your turbo choice maybe or at least tell the person doing the hi-flow that its for a 4x4and not a car ........other than that Id think your on target..
