  1. Yeah I know it LOOKS like that...it's just that we 33 owners drive around ALOT (because our cars are just SO great) so it just LOOKS like there are more 33's about than there really are. Anyway at least it means parts are forthcoming etc. BTW I see WAY more Imprezas about. Now they are common.
  2. Please die!
  3. LOL looking for an objective answer on a Skyline forum! Seriously for me WRX's are for a certain 'type' if you know what I mean? Back in the UK that means a taste for Burberry and pit bulls. They are good cars and a street 'pocket rocket' but I'd rather have a skyline. Also the new WRX is seriously ghey even if it is mechanically a good car with a decent AWD system. EVO's are stronger and more reliable.
  4. Yeah maybe you are right. Can the Mods move it?
  5. Sorry I'll PM you first with my proposed thread subject and check you're ok with it? What colour interior bulbs have you got anyway?
  6. ...let a festoon interior bulb cool before removing it. Ow my finger! /I should sue Nissan. //new LED interior light rawks. ///neon under-car light kit on order (joking).
  7. Can you machine a recess into the wheel? Just a thought?
  8. Good wheel; very robust. Ha ha I've got a set of 17" GTC01's on my 33. LOL that some people baulk at the cost of them for an R35! If the offset is not ideal for a 35 is there other options like pressing in a 'spacer' insert into the wheel? Nisskid may know more?
  9. As I understand it the strut should neither be in tension nor compression with the car on the ground 'doing nothing'. Ergo, if you remove the bar it would make no difference to the 'sag' (if you like) between the two towers and so your (effective) alignment would be the same. OTOH if you put your bar on with the car jacked up, the bar would be in some compression when the car is back on the ground, and yep removing the bar would change the (effective) alignment. By how much I dunno. Probably negligible.
  10. Ha ha that's true. I remember a few years ago a buddy of mine - who owned an Aston martin and a e-type jag - went away to work overseas and on returning found a shelf in his garage had collapsed and put some dents in the jag. lol Anyway my parking area is secure, its not like it's on the street.
  11. I wish my apartment had at least a covered car port. I've had my 33 in the elements since I got it a few weeks back... ...and at work there is nothing. It's not so much the rain as the UV. So I feel bad about it. My car is in pretty good nick compared to many of the 33's I seen about and I would like to keep it that way. I've got a car cover now but feel (and look) like a douche putting it on and off and it's a lot of effort.
  12. Use a hammer on a breaker bar to get 'impact'. Wear safety glasses. Blow torch last resort /make sure you are turning to the left also. lol
  13. Ha ha yeah it was just because of the lack of heat-shielding around the new front/dump pipe, plus also 'cos it is a wider diameter.
  14. You will increase your chances of getting picked up with a screamer on there. Chest thumping won't change that...
  15. Is that a good idea? What if it fails catastrophically and bits get sucked into the engine? Edit: Opps I see that was partially answered but still bits of turbine blades all through the 'zaust/cat can't be good, plus also if the compressor side fails couldn't you at least get a load of oil fouling up intake etc
  16. A need for very deep pockets. My advice is don't worry about a dumb dick measuring contest with your uncle, just do the stage 1 tune to ~200 kw and have some fun...won't break the bank either. Add decent suspension also.
  17. I just put some HKS Hipermax III on my 33. The seem pretty good; smooth but solid. Night and day difference compared to the stock springs and dampers. I guess they are 'medium-expensive' in the scheme of things?
  18. Good point. I'll ask them on Monday. The oil pressure gauge has me worried though. I don't remember it bouncing around before.
  19. OK I got some general maintenance done such as rocker cover gasket, timing belt, water pump etc, also radiator cleaned out. Also added new 3" turbo back 'zaust, plus a POD filter. That is it no other mods. It's a R33 GTST. Now I drive it home with the widows down and thought it seemed hot but thought it was my imagination, also thought I smelled a bit of burning but dismissed it. I drove it tonight with the windows down and you can feel the heat from the foot well and fwd part of the central tunnel. Doesn't seem right. I wasn't boosting about and was driving fairly normal. Drove straight home and was worried about fire or something. I mean it feels REALLY hot. Water temp gauge looks ok, but I notice quite a bit of activity from the oil pressure gauge; it's up and down quite a bit with the throttle. Always before it would seem to do very little, just show pressure in about the middle until the car was warmed up. I'm thinking my engine should be a bit hotter 'cos I've probably gained 20 kw or so from the 'zaust but the heat has me worried. Can't call the shop 'till Monday so won't drive it until I check it with them.

  21. Yeah it would get a bit sweaty also.
  22. Not having the airbag is illegal but you could still be safety minded by wearing a full face helmet all the time whilst driving. ....your choice....
  23. f**k that, this is priceless entertaining. I'm watchin' this thread.
