  1. Isn't that about 120 km/hr? i.e over the speed limit? lol
  2. Bet it was some stoned Abo.
  3. Damn, I'd settle for a handjob.
  4. Post some pics especially of the re-spray. I'm thinking of a re-spray and want to see how it turns out. Sorry about your car getting done over. If someone did that to my car - and I found them - I'd squeeze their balls 'till they popped. Dunno about green BTW, would clash with that chick who has a green Silvia.
  5. I bet they were in a beat up Falcon?
  6. You're conflating efficiency with absolute fuel consumption. Take than 3.0 L super efficient engine, now make it 2.0 L but otherwise the same. Which one now uses less absolute fuel to say drive 10 miles in the same car (don't forget the 2.0 L powered car is slightly lighter)?
  7. Painful arm lengthening surgery could be a solution lol.
  8. Nice! A luxury armchair on wheels. Does it give you a massage also.
  9. Is it advisable to do it with windows out? Is that a major job?
  10. I can't believe that - all thing being equal - that a more powerful engine uses less fuel?!
  11. Yeah it's a big contradiction. You get more and more safety feature then this on going arms race in power...next years model always has a bit more kws. If your goal is a safe car then why put 300 kws into a 'family/utility' car? What is it good for? It only make it less safe in a sense. That old JDM agreement of 250 hp was quite sensible.
  12. Yeah and why were they banned? Answer is safety.
  13. lol I bet your idea of Driver 'safety' is packing Durex in the glove box.
  14. I think your brakes are 'power' also, just not ABS. They are servo assisted.
  15. I was reading about Peter Wheeler's (former owner of TVR) design philopshy which was to reject ABS, traction control, air-bags etc being incorporated into TVR design. He believed these made drivers overconfident and so led to more accidents. I guess it is a more 'purist' approach to sports car design? I'm sure if you get in an accident then an air-bag is great, but would it not be better to drive more carefully instead? My R33 has ABS and air-bags. I'm not sure I'd like to take out the air-bag, and I like the ABS. Traction control? Well that is just ghey?! How are you supposed to do burn-outs?? lol
  16. ...but it keeps happening again and again right?
  17. I've got smallish hands. I think the big ball type knob is for weight is it not...to aid momentum? It's not just size but weight? I guess a depleted uranium small knob would give me the right size plus weight?!
  18. Sure I'd like to take one for a spin, but I prefer that more lower coupe type look, you know....wind the window down etc Plus I'm still enamoured with the whole Skyline thing....the round rear lights etc. Just love it. The sound (and smoothness) of the RB. I can't think of another car (that I could realistically afford) that I would rather be driving. Maybe a Silvia? Supra (pricey)? Aussie V8's and turbo V6's just aren't by thing. I went through a stage of being after say a late 90's STi but never went through with it.
  19. I've got a skinny aluminium gear knob at the moment, and I see you can get heavier, weighted, bigger ball type knobs. Just wondered what people prefer?
  20. Who are u trying to convince? Us or yourself?
  21. ....well he should definitely get a wheel alignment done. lol
  22. Anywhere good in Perth to get my car (potentially) resprayed? ...and I don't mean a $100 'special', but a quality job. I want a full respray w/ a big go faster stripe right down the middle, maybe some flames. /joking about the stripe and flames.
  23. To wheels are a bit 'blingy'.
  24. My paint is ok, but there is the odd chip here and there and spot where rust forms, and 10 y/o paint is always gonna look a bit tired. The paint is factory. So my question is, if I get a full re-spray (done by someone decent) how is it gonna look? I mean will it look ok around the window seals and stuff? Or dodgy? Now I understand you can't realistically do inside the doors and stuff, not that I want a show car, but my car is white and it would look retarded if say I got a black re-spray wouldn't it? Just messy at those hard to reach spots? What prep to I have to do? Can I just sand down those spots where paint is chipped or cracked? Treat any superficial rust and sand/scrape it off? Or do I need to fully remove the old paint? That would be a massive job. I was thinking of a re-spray to white pearl. My logic is that a) I like that look b) it won't look too noticeably bad inside the door and other spots where old meets new? Thoughts/advice? Cheers
  25. Not easy to view your blind spot in low down supercar/sportscars.
