  1. Lol that's right forgot about the rx8. The 3rd gen had some decent power iirc 206kw? And agreed, it's a tough one for Toyota. Good to see hks and Trd already have a catalogue of parts
  2. More info needed
  3. its a tough one.. toyota need to make money.. i think they may rely on the hype of the ae86 too much.. its a decent looking car, seems to handle very well but when you think of it - more than 35K for a 2L NA with like 200hp its a bit much.. id rather spend the extra 5-10k to get into a wrx with loads more power / looks a lot better..
  4. oddly enough i didnt like cigars.. smoked for nearly 10 years.. (nearly 12 months without a cig.. still going strong) the smell was horrible.. although i probably wasnt smoking anything decent..
  5. i probably wouldnt drive on them - dont know how fixable that is..
  6. 25 would be way to low.. id say it will be priced around the mid to low 30's.. there is too many better cars for 40K
  7. dont suppose you have the drivers side seat.. specifically the hand lever to recline the seat?
  8. iirc you may need to get a hicas adapter / boss kit.. it took me a few tries but you have to turn it quickly to engage it.. but if you have done that it could be the steering wheel.. the above video the guy has an aftermarket steering wheel so it may be something else.. the tacho may be a wiring issue also
  9. this may help diagnose the hicas problem... the tacho problem is common (mine has started dancing around) im lead to believe its just cracked solder joints.. you could try re solder it or just buy a second had working cluster..
  10. +1 for the fuel filler neck.. i had a bit of a fuel smell in the cabin - re-sealed the neck - didnt notice any improvement to mileage but the smell is gone..
  11. imo ditch it - head to the wreckers and find a second hand one..
  12. Geographically you are coming up from adelaide to the gold coast.. And ditto would never take my skyline to the coast.
  13. Haven't checked prices but I doubt a non turbo s15 and an r34 is no where near the value of an s2000
  14. Grey stagea behind me william jolly bridge around 4:30 or so
  15. Spearmint green 33gtr inner city bypass 7ish this morning
  16. for what its worth.. at most 10-12 grand is what its worth... forget what "you think its worth"
  17. There is a screw on the aac valve to adjust the idle - pretty sure its in that thread i put in the link above.. Resetting the ecu may help.. IIRC - take negative terminal off... pump the brakes for a bit to drain any charge still in the system.. connect negative back again (your clock etc should have reset if you did it right) There is a quicker way of shorting the ecu in the fuse panel under the steering wheel (never tried it) http://www.skylinesa...1900-reset-ecu/
  18. http://www.skylinesa...t/page__st__160 try that for starters could be a combination of a few things... fouled plugs.. dirty afm.. dirty aac valve..
  19. the cheapest ones?? your insurance is covering them. if you pay for expensive ones, and someone tries to steal your rims and succeeds then you would make a claim... if they fail, they are going to do damage to the rims/lock nuts in the process.. you would then make a claim to your insurance company irrespective. however, i would get it in writing from the insurer that there are no requirements to fit lock nuts to comply with your policy..
  20. could be anything.. whats mods are done to the car?
