  1. Hey, anyone have experience with using this little gadget on a V36. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201031617244?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The GTR Guys use them for track days to avoid a bonnet pop from hitting a cone etc. The connector looks exactly the same on the V36, I guess its probably just some sort of resistor. I've emailed the seller in Japan & he could not say whether or not it would work with the V36, just that they have not tested it with one. Has anyone here tested/using this on a V36 for track days etc? Cheers.
  2. Being a complete novice with the consult 3 software & the fact that I have not used a genuine consult 3 I'm really not qualified to compare the two. That said, from my limited use of the unit so far, it does appear to do what the genuine unit can do. Read the modules, clear codes etc, which i have done with it.. Cheers.
  3. I use a consult3 clone too. Bought from this seller on Aliexpress, $129US . http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2014-New-Arrival-Nissan-Consult-3-III-Professional-Diagnostic-Tool-Nissan-Consult-III-Support-Muli-language/1741187697.html Very cheap and so far functions very well. Cheers.
  4. Yes only 15 minutes to change the battery, I have also had the battery disconnected for a full day getting the headlights out. Same thing, no probs. Cheers.
  5. Hi, I recently replaced the battery on my V36 & the only issue was having to do the window re-learn procedure. I also had to re-do my preset radio stations & seat position memory settings. Remember to leave the window down a tad on the side your working on so as not to catch the pillar on opening without the window drop functioning. Everything else was fine, good luck with it. Cheers.
  6. Just measured the tread depth. Rears = 6.8mm, Front = 7.5mm No idea what they are when new, but as an example the PS2's i've replaced them with are Rear 7.7mm & Front 7.5mm Straight off the Shelf.
  7. Cheers Mate, Pics, honestly ICBF. Plenty of pics of these tyres on the net. Sorry to be a bit brash but i'm pretty busy at the moment. As stated they look pretty much new.
  8. I have a set of Tyres off my V36 Coupe For Sale. Only travelled 5600k's, they still look new. No mis-alignment wear or damage at all, they are Achilles Sport, 225 45ZR19 Fronts & 245 40ZR19 Rears. Quite a reasonable tyre for their price range. $300 for the set, pick up only, NSW Central Coast. Cheers. .
  9. Here you go http://www.bmcextremecustoms.net/20ingcog37gt.html http://www.ilovebodykits.com/category/116/Infiniti-_G37-_2009/Exterior_Body-Styling_Grilles.html
  10. Part of the reason for modding just the emblem was its 100% reversible. As it stands, the grille is coated in Plastidip, easy peel off & back to chrome. Emblem is in Epoxy, but is a simple replace with a new Nissan item. You'd be surprised how good it looks in the flesh btw. The alternative of going emblem less (which I was also tossing up between) is not reversible however, as it involves fiberglassing in the missing sections of grille from behind the badge. Just something different, might keep it like this for a while, or maybe not, we'll see. Unfortunately I'm cursed with a big dislike of the original grille emblem & dont particularly care for the toffy nosed infiniti badging. Imo even a grille with a hole in it would be preferable. Cheers.
  11. Yes, I do to, was actually tossing up between emblem less & modding the Emblem..
  12. Hey Guys, Always hated the big Hamburger on the front of my 370GT. Swapping to Infiniti badging doesn't appeal to me either. So, I did this. Basically I modified the Nissan Hamburger. I used a boot emblem & stacked it. Cheers.
  13. Really........ Morons like you are the exact reason Skyline drivers cop a bad wrap. In what part of your delusional world is racing someone on the freeway ok. I'll make sure none of my family are on there for the day, unfortunately that just leaves the rest of the un suspecting public to deal with you. Seriously......................
  14. Impossible, nothings faster than a stock 350 GT8, I hear they have a special gearbox that makes them unbeatable in all forms of motorsport. lols.
  15. So,,,,please enlighten me as to what you're trying to prove with this statement. No, on second thoughts don't bother, you'd just hammer me with your razor sharp wit. Have you ever thought about enrolling in a Tafe course to help you understand cars a bit better? Seriously, you'd probably find it pretty helpful.
  16. You make some very *cough* "interesting* posts there Mr GPOWER. All jokes aside now, If you really want help, & from your various posts I've seen you really need it. Listen the f**k to what people are telling you. You seem to have a very simplistic view of what's going on here. Horse to water my friends, horse to water.
  17. This would look sick http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Black-Aluminum-Universal-Adjustable-Rear-Trunk-GT-Wing-Spoiler-161-/221726619179?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item339fefb62b
  18. Dont listen to these Guys, just get really, really, Fat tyres, Fat tyres are fully sick. And sick wheels, chrome looks really, really good, Dont worry about that offset stuff, you can fix it with a block of wood.
  19. Cheers Tony, yep all sorted. Sounds like your guy is doing it the right way, good stuff. Not real keen to name & shame in public, however, if someone really wants to know, send me a pm & I'll fill you in.
  20. Unfortunately thats the end of the Pics as time was getting away from me. I didn't want to get caught & be finishing in the dark. Thats the Guts of it anyway, Genuine in tact igniters, properly soldered & heat shrinked Ballast connectors & Phillips Globes. All Back together now & working perfectly, including the headlight steering movement. Forgot to add earlier, most of the clips holding the inner guards on were missing too, So far between replacing broken & missing clips in the front I have put 30 new ones in her. So its all good now, Looks factory, with no sign of the previous workmanship. The HID's are awesome by the way, its a shame that compliance forces us to have the totally useless & downright dangerous Halogen conversion done. Cheers.
  21. Unfortunately the Headlights need to come out as the igniter wires were to short to allow for a proper repair. Glad I pulled them out for another reason too. DS had 2 screws rattling around in it & PS had 1, they were the screws that hold the globe clip in, obviously the work of an unsteady hand. Below, one of the igniters with cut wire attached.
  22. Hey Guys, I've had my Coupe for only around 3 months now. The Poxy compliance globes have annoyed me the whole time, so I figured it was time to do something about it. A bit of background, the Car was complied March Last year in Sydney & I am the second owner. She's up for rego & the PS Headlight has only ever worked intermittently. So, I pulled the inner guards out for a bit of a look. f**k Me, what a Mess. Both igniters cut off inside the Headlights & Turfed. Both Ballast conectors cut off & Turfed. No Cover on the PS Headlight opening & one of the crimped on connectors half off (hence the short.). So it looks like I'm gonna need some Parts. Rang the workshop who did the compliencing & no go, quote " we throw all the parts we remove. Friggin Great. So Ebay it is then. Found these, Genuine Nissan, used, in the US 2 of, I'll take em. And these, Generic HID Ballast connectors to use one end of. These Genuine Phillips D2S Globes And I'm in business.
