  1. yeah, what happened? a wire fall off the boost controller or something?
  2. also get the waterpump checked while they are in there. It will save you a couple of hours labour in case if it craps itself only a few thousand kms later and all the same stuff has to be pulled out to get at it again.
  3. think of it like this... rwkw = $$$$ more of the latter will give you more of the former. stock rb25 with stock turbo, fit a FMIC get rid of 2 stage boost solenoid and up boost to 10 PSI. as SK says, 12 PSI is asking for your ceramic turbine to pay a visit to cat land. this will give you about 160-170 rwkw all day. Throw another couple of grand at it for a PowerFC (including tuning) and you will get somewhere around 200. To go much better than this wou start to drop BIG money on turbo, internals, cams, clutch, LSD, etc etc. You could import a R32 with mods ex Japan for the cost of going to the "next level" This is my personal experience, I would be up for about ten grand to step my car up to the next level but I bought a 45000km '89 VR4 which will end up costing about $9k (if it ever gets on a boat). Realistically even 170rwkw makes for a pretty fast R33 which is nice and comfy to drive on the street but with decent tires will pull a high 13 sec quarter. and there is not a whole lot on the road that can do that.

  5. There's also some debate as to whether Nissasn used NEO spec parts in the engines... I have only ever seen that CAS with the black plactic cover on 40th anniv's and 34's so there may be something in it.

Something that really gives me the sh!ts is the "If it saves one life it will be worth it" bullsh!t that is trotted out to justify some Draconian law change/biltz/victimisation campain the likes as is usually aimed at car enthusiasts. Ok, all you who come out with this bullsh!t and all those who agree with it, let's see you put your money where your mouth is if you really want to save lives. A large proportion of road fatalities die from head injuries. Helmets would save HUNDREDS of lives EVERY year. Do you think we will ever see a law mandating the wearing of Snell approved crash helmets in all cars? Apparantly "If it saves one life it will be worth it" doesn't count if it is going to mess up my hair??? Money talks, bullsh!t walks.......... Keep walking Johnny.

  8. yeah, apparantly that's where mine is.Ben at J_Spec has recommended paying to get it moved to Osaka as it will have a better chance of getting on a boat. Still not guaranteed but at least better chances. should cost about $350

I think we (import drivers/car enthusiasts) should make a complaint to the broadcasting council (or whoever you complain to) EVERY TIME we see a car advertisement for a local sh!tbox with a performance "theme" to the ad. examples, The whole Mazda "Zoom Zoom" campain. Toyota ad where the Camry driver is in the helecopter looking for a piece of road to do a "Mountain Run". are we supposed to believe that he went to all that trouble to drive that piece of road at the posted advisory speed of probably about 30-40kmh??? The holden ad with the dunnydoor ute doing burnouts and circlework (and I don't give a sh!t about the "private property" sign at the start of the ad. Any ad where they claim "class leading power" like Patrol or Elantra. If Performance and/or power is such a bad thing, these pricks in the local car industry shouldn't be allowed to polute the airwaves with these ads which will no doubt encourage people to Zoom Zoom along the nearest stretch of winding road and do a burnout at the end of it. If you lot are serious about deflecting some of the heat then LET'S GET SERIOUS and start dishing up some sh!t on other "bad influences" out there. hmmm I might put a bit of thought into a form letter that we can use and if I'm still fired up at the end of the day I will start a campain to get this idea posted on as many car forums as possible. I am sick of being picked on when I drive a car that is safer at 120kmh with 4 wheel multi piston ABS vented discs and high performance tires, than some clapped out rust bucket VB commonwhore with rear drums and bald 185's would be at 90kmh. But guess who would get the ticket and a lecture from mr plod about road safety? DON'T TELL THEM "FU(K EM"... FU(K EM AND THEN TELL THEM
  10. Yeah, the bad thing is that we (import drivers) get most of the sh!t stick to us even for d!ckheads in "sporty looking" cars. There was some complete knobhead in a tiburon (gag, choke) trying for about 20km of motorway yesterday to get me to race him. You all know how it goes, zoom up behind, drop back, zoom up (we are talking relatively here as far as zooming) then pass at 120kmh, pull in front and slow down to 90 then pass again after you pass them etc. In the end he pulled up along side and as he looked over I pointed at his car and held my nose. somehow I think that upset him... The point is, anyone (uneducated Joe Public that is) who saw this behaviour would have lumped that heap of crap in the same class as my line and thought "bloody import drivers street racing"

Wow, where to start... this thread of links in the maintenance forum would be a good first call. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=35442 A biggie that you may overlook in your haste to get "going" is to make sure there will be no problem stopping!! i.e. CHECK BRAKE PADS and FLUSH BRAKE FLUID and bleed brakes. Hope you have the finances to afford to run a GTR as well as buy it....
  13. Exhaust... well some are a bit loud or hang down or whatever but this H pattern bullsh1t is just a complete "We will get you for something" load of donkey w@nk. I have a small label made on a P-touch "near" my gear lever just to foil that one. BUT I am the only one who drives my car and I know where the fusking gears are and I don't look at the gear lever like a 2 month learner. what a crock
  14. QLD here too and no joy. Been so damn long I have just about forgot what I bought!!! Paid for the car first week in Sept. Been waiting to get on a boat since late Oct. Was hoping to be driving it by now but it's still in Japan.

My MegaDangerous import is speed limited to 180kmh but your taxipak falcon can go faster with skinny sh1t tires and coffee tin lids for brakes. I have as many brake slave cyls in one front caliper than your forden falcadore has for all four wheels...d1ckheads..............
  18. Glad to hear that we made it to the grand. Great cause and all that but I hope we manage to get our share of good publicity out of this too. Would be good to have a few people realise that not everybody who drives an import is a hoon who don't give a **** for anything except "street racing" (damn I HATE that term) and doing burnouits at the local Macca's carpark.

  21. Yeah that dip will be at about 5000rpm where the stock computer dumps in extra fuel you would see it if you had AFR plotted on the printout. It just gets bigger when you up the boost more. Mine is running 10psi. This run was in 3rd gear. Speaking of boost, Don't try more than about 10-11psi on a stock ceramic RB25 turbo unless you want an excuse to hi-flo it.
  22. Yeah that sux. Why don't they go pull over a load of bogans in a rusted out dunnydoor? If it became a regular occurance and you have no bad driving record I would be making a complaint of police harassment.
