I believe that late ( '96 and later) model 300zx VG30 uses injectors that will fit a RB25. no responcability accepted for accuracy of information in the previous sentance so don't come running to me when your pistons are a melted pool of slag in your sump... :-)

yeah, that's puke

USA rear and USA Slim front. Back looks like it was made for a skyline but the front still don't fit the cutout in the bar. Mine is mounted above the cutout to not obstruct the fmic. Do you think I would get a defect for mine where some Bozo rolled back into me today and fuxxored the front plate? Because it is bent to buggery. He will be paying for replacement plates. Damn lucky his towbar wasn't 4" lower or he would be up for an intercooler.

Yeah, I did mean cruise, not run. You know, daylight, legal speeds, bring your better half kind of thing.Nothing wrong with the road if driven sensibly (no offence meant to the "spirited drivers" who we "don't talk about"). Just a thought. On another note I did like the signs. You know the f***off big red ones that have a picture of a motorbike on them and say "CRASH ZONE AHEAD" and "SPEED CAUSES ACCIDENTS ON THIS ROAD" Damn motorcyclists... Oh hang on, I'm one of them too! D'oh.

Went for a drive today (Sunday 25th July) up through Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious and Somerset dam to Kilkoy and back through Mt Mee. DAMN it seemed like every second car on the road was a Skyline. Hopefully some of the people I gave waves to were from here. Now that little trip would be a good daytime cruise. A couple of hundred km's of nice driving roads. And yes you can have fun on them without donning a Kamikaze headband and punting your pride and joy off a cliff/bank/into a ditch etc. Perhaps I should post an EOI thread on a cruise round that route...

I will do my best to get there but it's my birthday on the 26th so the 28th may end up being a birthday party. But then again what better way to celebrate?

Super Drager system from HKS, can anyone recommend the system
PTR33 replied to ICER33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
120% happy with mine. I have HKS Dump, Front pipe and Cat back with Super Drager muffler. good power but fairly quiet. I have been toying with the idea of ditching the resonator to pump up the volume a little. In my opinion that bigass muffler and 5" tip looks the goods with the 4" pipe leading into it visable from the rear of the car as well. -
Nissan Thrust Skyline. what is it
PTR33 replied to carlo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've seen a compliance plate that says "Nissan Skyliner". rather embarassing really. -
I know I know Fuel consumption again
PTR33 replied to srb 33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
OK, let's compare apples with apples here. How many litres are you putting in when you fill up after using "a tank" 40? 50? 60? I get about 11L/100km during the week driving to work (mainly motorway) and 15L/100km on the weekend mainly round town and more spirited driving. Litres per 100km is an official fuel consumption unit of measure. Smaller is better. It's easy to work out fill tank zero trip meter or note odometer reading drive car until down below 1/4 mark on fuel guage (or whatever) fill tank and take note of litres of fuel added and kms travelled use formula L/100km = Litres multiplied by 100 and then divided by kms example, my fill up last night was 41.16L for 368km 41.16 x 100 / 368 = 4116 / 368 = 11.18 L/100km on the weekend I might use 45L to do 300km which is 4500/300 = 15L/100km you can also do this over several fill ups by adding the fuel quantities together and noting the total distance travelled. All you have to make sure is that uou start and finish the "test" with a full tank to get an accurate fuel figure. At least if you use this method you can keep a check on trends in your own consumption and also make valid comparisons to other people's fuel consumption. If you have a "device" that can display injector duty cycle, e.g. AVCR, consult port scanner, or any of the other gizmos that can do it, take a look at how much difference there is between just cruising with the flow in traffic and jerking back and forth in a zoom/brake style of driving. cruising at 100km/h my duty cycle sits at about 6-7%. If I lean on the loud pedal enough to just get into boost it can go up to 25-30%. Four times as much fuel going into the engine for what? just to ease up to 110km/h to gently overtake another car in the left lane? Huge improvements are there for the asking if you drive like a granny with an egg under her foot during the week, to and from work. Saving your precious BP ultimate for WEEKEND THRASHING. Give it a go guys, try posting in Litres/100 Kilometers rather than km/tank. P.S. If you are getting 300km/tank and only putting in 40L it aint that bad! -
HOWTO: RB25DET High Boost mode with standard solenoid
PTR33 replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
The other option for removing the 2 stage boost is to pull the two hoses off the solenoid and just use a small piece of pipe as a joiner. As long as you leave the original pipe with the restrictor in it in place you will get the "hi boost" pressure all the time. (about 7 or 8 PSI) What you can also do is replace the small hose with the restrictor with a piece of vacuum hose and play with the size of the hole in the joiner pipe. I found that filling it up with "Lumiweld" (aluminium solder) and drilling it to 7/64" (2.78mm) I get a momentry spike to 12PSI which drops off to 10PSI and eventually decays to about 9PSI by redline. The difference in the driving experience is fantastic. Even just getting rid of the solenoid out of the system and getting standard hi-boost all the time makes the car much more fun to drive. 150% recommended. -
DAMN!! Looks like a frog.

Holy crap Batman! My new 1999 R34 GTR Vspec turned out to be a series 1 R33 !?!?!? And someone stole my Racing Hart CP035R wheels gold 17" and put 16" stockers on!! And just how do you get 1000HP out od a couple of 2835's They are damn good little turbos but that would be stretching the friendship just a wee bit.

That is the Vid to watch guys. I mean I think Tsuchiya should know what he is talking about. They call him the "Drift King" because he practically invented it!! Seriously, this DVD will open your eyes. You will come away after watching it with a whole new understanding. I sure did. 90% of what you think you know about Drift is just plain WRONG. Invest the $39.00 and get wised up.

two words... Standard Computer. The more mods you do, the more airflow the engine gets, the bigger that flat spot gets. You can see it on a dyno graph. It's where the AFR plummets from about 12:1 down to 10:1

/rant - where's my car..
PTR33 replied to raz0r$harP.UK's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
heh, the joys of importing. It took me 17 weeks from paying the FOB to driving away in my R33. I picked it up on Xmas eve last year. THE BEST FUGGIN CRISSY PRESSY EVER!! It's a pain in the arse going through it but it saved me about eight grand. -
My '98 40th anniversary R33 with 66000km cost me just under $21000 imported, complied under SEVS and registered. $30k is a hell of a lot more than that.

The connector is visible through the fuse panel in front of the drivers right knee. It is not over near the ECU. (in case you had got confused...)
-
yeah right, and top fuelers often have to change PISTONS after one run. So pistons must be unreliable things... This guy must have a crate full of bushed turbos that he is trying to offload.

For sale: R33 Rear Wing
PTR33 replied to lee86's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
DAMN, that thing looks like it takes a second wing!! -
Went to one recently but it was mostly V8 boys (most of whom I beat) so would be interested in another day with lots of 'lines. As much for the social aspect as going home with another dyno chart.

Try air conditioning suppliers http://directory.ourbrisbane.com/directory...ries/10045.html this should get you started.

Was a good day, but more driving and less parking would have been better. Nice to see everyone was well behaved, no "shenanakins" * in the carpark at the dam or anything to give us a bad name. * Not that there's anything wrong with that but there's a time and place for everything.
