  1. I really learn a great deal about my car also! understanding things like how to steer correctly, how to enter corners, when it wants to kick out, how to bring it back if it does (or in one instance how to keep it going ), learning the capabilities/limits etc. Big Thanks to Brad.

  6. First off, Thanks everyone for the feedback! Ok i am in the process of saving up for an ECU and tune atm (Vipec), and will turn the boost down in the meantime as suggested. Cheers Dragonforce but the car had denzo spark plugs put in about 4 months ago, and i know the lads at AutoWorx know what theyre doing. I wasnt aware the R33 ECU's were at last unlocked? i heard about the whole nistune business, buying the r32 computer and z32 afm and all this and thought bugger that.

  9. Hi was wondering if anyone else knows whats goin on here. Was driving home from tafe this arvo and, noticed as i was in 2nd gear whilst flooring it, from about 4500-5000rpm onwards it feels like someones just pressed the brake pedal a little bit. as in the car really loses its momentum and somewhat slows down for some reason, and only in the higher rev range. Not quite sure how else i can explain it but i can certainly feel the loss of g-force when it happens . has, fmic pod (just checked it then and, looks like theres a bit of dirt in the crevices) HKS EBC 12psi splitfire coilpacks intank bosch fuel pump screamer pipe xforce cat 3 1/2in all the way with cannon newish spark plugs HD clutch oil + filter done a month ago using stock ECU and stock turbo, so its running pretty rich atm. if anyone has any idea what the go is, feedback will be appreciated.

  13. Haha thats exatly what happened to me. Was going to put a deposit one one, only to find out it was sold a couple days earlier. It was all good though, i waited a couple weeks and snatched up an even better deal
  14. Autoworx Wangara, they get in lots of mint R33's and are a good bunch of guys, they also do normal mechanic/tuning work, servicing/upgrading/dyno tuning etc.
  15. Paying $2200 a year for my 96 R33 GTS-t. Havent once questioned the price im paying. Sorry to be a teenager bogan terrorist troll however, i fully agree with the harden the f*ck up comment.

  18. ah thank god i found this thread! was driving home from work earlier tonight and after 30 mins or so, as i was nanny'ing it up through the gears it started making said farting noise, exactly like u guys explained it coming from around the turbo. i actually hope its the gasket and not a turbo bearing or something to do with the engine got it towed to my mechanic just to be safe though lol. anyone know if this would be covered under the AWN warranty its got? cheers.

  20. If i had to bet, it would be on the GTR. Those few crucial seconds that its able to put most, if not all of the power down will see it ahead of the GTT the entire 1/4 mile. dunno about 1/2 mile though.

  23. ok, if i were you, i would go and buy some gasket goo/kit for $15 odd from supercheap, or whatever's near you. smear some on both sides of the gasket and put back together. i mean its a 15 year old gasket, and when taking it apart can lose the cushiness, if you know what i mean lol. if you end up doing this, it'll probably say on the instructions, but after you've smeared it on either sides of the gasket, do up the 3 bolts finger tight till it squirts out the edges and let it set for 40-60 mins, then tighten them up but not hulk tight. i ended up doing away with the old gasket and used the gasket goo, so it does the job as good as the nissan gasket. (one day someone will discover an AAC valve gasket stuck somewhere under the air intake plenum)
