Anyone heard of FARTs, came across an article in one of the ZOOM mags Federation Against Rotaries and Turbo's haha apparently was a bunch some time ago that werent too happy seeing they're v8's getting mopped up by Nissan's and Mazda's and yeh the V8 supercar would win i think, because its a dedicated race car, the Mine's R34 GTR isnt. no doubt a fully blown race spec R34 GTR would destroy any fully blown race spec falcodore.

im in the same boat buddy, all these mods throw the air/fuel ratios out of whack and, will cause the car to run richer. start saving up for an ECU . and +1 for oil and filter change.

been quoted $1600 for the vipec v44 standalone i think it was (2nd best one), and $600 to tune it, so $2200 all up, apparently its the bees knees it should do me good for years to come. was looking into a nistune board but my mechanic/tuner dont really have anything to do with em.

ive been hearing a sort of high pitch whistling sound for a while also, though only when on full boost (was doing it before at 7 psi, but 10-12psi atm). me mechanics thought that maybe it was coming from the turbo itself (bearings/shaft play?), or possibly from the wastegate. ive read somewhere on here a guy had the same noise, turned out it was leaking on the turbo exhaust manifold join or something. im sort of dreading its the turbo, hope it can hold up for another 6+ months..

Hi i have a simliar setup to you, stock BOV stock ECU stock turbo HKS EBC set to 12 psi pod trust m-spec fmic splitfires 3.5in exhaust w/ screamer highflow 3in xforce cat walbro 255/L (500hp) intank fuel pump denso spark plugs on a dyno dynamics dyno it's done a 194kw or 261hp ive yet to take it to the drags, but i wont expect too much, especially with my skinny little 225's on. runs really rich, saving up for a vipec or powerfc atm..

it sucks to know that theres some little jealous wankers out there that do these sorts of things. honestly wouldnt mind if they're bodies were discovered on the bottom of a dam.

Derro kids aged 13-18 Cheeky talk back types with the body frame of a stick insect Shit female drivers (the ones that dont bother to check the rear view mirror before reversing into ya) Old drivers that can barely see and are oblivious to other motorists around them. Drivers swerving through traffic and tail-gating as if they were james bond or some shit.

Ive had a couple good incidents too, was double demerits at the time and an unmarked car caught me giving it a little stick down a stretch of road (no cars behind or infront for a good few kilometers), pulled over, the younger bloke did a lap around the car whilst the english officer checked my license, comes back, the young guy gives him the OK and lets me on my way. Was pretty happy i probably would have lost my license/car if not most of my demerits. another night on the same road i gave it a squirt, rocked up to a set of lights and an unmarked falcon pulls up next to me turning right, "Keep doing that and you'll end up losing ya license" the officer said, i think i said something stupid like "uhh, thanks" and drove off slowly. lol There are good policemen out there just doing their job, ive yet to come across a foul one, but ill still try and be just as polite and respectful.

I have 225's with michelin tyres all round, havent broke traction since, only when i wanted to. which was once when it first rained (will have to go to one of these wet skidpan thingies). Im really careful when i accelerate in 1st and 2nd gear, and barely let it hit boost. then slowly progress up to 4th or 5th gear. and take it really careful around corners, also try to use as much of the road as i can when cornering, (race inspired.. haha) so it doesnt put too much strain on the little tyres.

whats this about nistune costing $400-500? is this including parts/labour/tuning? im getting quoted around the $1500-1700 mark, living in Perth NoR. ive got a 96 GTST SII then im getting quoted around the $2000 for a vipec, fitted and tuned. Anyone know about these remapped chips you can get done for the standard ECU's? Id probably feel shit afterwards buying something like the nistune or piggyback, just knowing that its second best. haha damn car has got me wrapped around its finger.
