I'm glad you enjoyed it mate! Next time your in VIC make sure you come and join us again. Yeah I only got 7 laps out, three of which were passenger laps. I thought I was taking it easy on the shifts, conscious of the new clutch, but the box decided otherwise. Still only done about 15laps total around sandown and I feel I can grab another 1.5 seconds out of my current setup. Didn't feel I was pushing the car all that hard yet. Oh well.. Congrats to everyone on times. It's an interesting day out when all the big boys come down to play. Making me look slow and all. Hehe. more mods!

ed please comment. If we're not getting them... I'll organise a Rays wheels nuts group buy. Will be a maximun lead time of two weeks.

Scotsman replied to Scotsman's topic in Archived Events
Any car is welcome. 1/2 the entries are WRX's so far. To be eligible to get either your Level 2 Speed ($87) CAMS license or Level 2 Non-Speed ($46) you must first be a member of a CAMS affiliated Club, such as SAU-VIC, WRX, NDSOC, Maseratti etc. We will be happy to organise the license for you on the day but you must be able to prove you are a member of that club. If your not yet a member of any CAMS club you can join SAU-VIC for $70. See this sticky thread for Membership information: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=60590 Sorry I know it all sounds over complicated, but it's not. If you like PM me your number and we can have a chat. -

Yeah this event will be one to remember, and if you can make it, you should. It will be some of the best fun you'll have driving your car, .....even if you come last. I'm putting together an Event Schedule with little maps of all the motorkhana's now and i'm getting excited just looking at them. Keep an eye on this thread for the .pdf coming to an FTP server near you! -
There you go Troy.... There's your Co-Driver right there!

Good work Geoff cant wait to see it... Troy - You've already spent the value of a 33 GTR on the 32 and i'm sure it wont be long before you set the other 1/2 on fire.

Interloper and others please PM Snowman with some personal details and he will get the license sorted for you. Starionturbo - It had to be far away because DECA have the biggest skidpan in VIC and team wang love their weekends away! -
If this falls through ed, let us know straight away. Dont keep us hanging. If all fails we can arrange a group price from greenline. They do Rays nuts for like $150, so with 10 ppl we could get it down I imagine. I also have another possible supplier of rays nuts. same colours.

ORC Twin vs Nismo Twin

Yep cool gotcha. I knew the bearing as a thrust bearing, and this sits inside the sleeve carrier. Cool. Am I an expert now? -
ORC Twin vs Nismo Twin
Scotsman replied to voona's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Exedy twin and tripple clutches come from the same parent manufacturer in Japan as the Nismo GMax. They both have a small spring loaded bracket between the plates that pushes them appart evently to try to eliminate the rattle. Maybe if you get the clutch balanced properly before installing, it would disengage more evenly and not rattle. Dunno just thinking out loud. Lunatic - I understand the pivot point and when you say sleeve bearing I assume this is the spigot bearing (Like this one http://www.nismo.com.au/pricelists/General...eedlespigot.jpg) But WTF is a sleeve carrier? -
Good response Sydneykid, but I think the core or the issue is that the majority of NSW GTR owners are soft. j/k I know at least Myself and Snowman would love to come up there and give the NSW tracks a punt. If at least just to put Roy back in his box.

I'm keen as long as we move the turbos, injectors, fuel pump, AFM's and ECU from yours into mine.
-
James ... I love you!

How many runs are likely to get, as I would like to make minor changes myself to see the diff.

www.whiteline.com.au look under 'your car' find part numbers and ring your local whiteline supplier. I used their bushes and they are fine for minor tweaking of camber and castor. But for a real handling solution you need sway bars and more negative camber than these bushes can provide. We found the bushes were great for small adjustments as the welds on the upper control arm wasn't 100% accurate on both sides.

May is over in 5 days. Any update? Only reason I ask is I would like them before Autosalon this weekend.

Nismo Gmax 2 Clutch
Scotsman replied to markr34gtr's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Got a picture of it? I Want to see what condition it is. Also what is it's history? How old? What motorsport has it endured? -
Ant what footage do you have?

The prices in the first post include a Serk 19 Row oil cooler. As for all the fittings and line we can pretty much cusomise it all depending weather you want braided or pushlock, remote oil filter or not, and mounted front left bar, front right bar, or behind radiator. Price varies depending on the hose type and length. Also the type of fittings required. But you can just tell me what hose type , and where you will mount it and I can give you a price. Please look at the first post for a rough guide.
